July Favorites 2018: Clothes, pressies & events!

I admit this weather is not really Summer like but, I'm still enjoying it~ Summer is not my favorite time of the year anyway. I'm patiently waiting for Fall. Hehe.

Hi lovelies! It is time for another monthly favorites post, as you know, you'll find a bit of everything here.
Let's go!

CLOTHING & SHOES

I did some shopping during the month. I feel like since I came back from Spain, I didn't buy any clothes.
The first one is a blue polka dots blouse from Vero Moda. To be honest, I'm not familiar with that brand but I fell in love with that blouse since I saw it. It was actually for sale and I noticed they had other really cute blouses. I love the details it has on the shoulders, I find it very girly.

The next item is a white t-shirt I got from Cuidado con el Perro. It says "The only men I trust is RaMen" and has a cute ramen on it. I think is really funny and cute at the same time and, I've been getting a lot of nice comments every time I wear it.

And lastly are my new sneakers from... walmart. Lol. I was meaning to buy new ones for a while and I finally did. They are pink with a hint of gold and I find them very easy to match with different casual outfits.

PRESSIES

I recieve this adorable personalized box of chocolates at the end of the school year. It was a pressie from one of my students and his mom. The box had a little me!
It came with 8 chocolates, and they were yummy. I just love how we all got different boxes, according to what we like and look like.

SHOWS

So! I think I mentioned something about Full Metal Panic Invisible Victory in previous blogs. Well, I finally finished the season and, OMG it was so good! It had a lot of action and the end was just...ASDFG! My heart. So many feels. I really feel like this anime is underrated~ not many people knows it and personally, I think is really worth watching. I hope to see a new season sometime soon. It never disappoints me.

OTHERS

Not an object but an event. Not long ago, we had a family reunion because one of my cousins was over for a visit. Thing is, we hadn't seen each other in over 10 years!! So, it was really, really nice to have all the cousins together, catch up and sped some quality time together. Also got the chance to meet my baby Luca. My nephew was born back in December when I was in Spain and for whatever reason (life) I just didn't get the chance to meet him until now. He's such a happy and social baby, totally adorable. Love to see my cousin Ale as a mommy!

That's it for this month, it's been quite a fun one!
Until next time~!!

What's in my makeup bag? | My everyday makeup | July 2018

Hello sweets!
I've been meaning to share this video/post for the longest time now but, for whatever reason I never got to put everything together.
Here's what's currently in my makeup bag, pretty much, my everyday makeup. I would say it's mostly drugstore edition and since I don't create super elaborated looks for my everyday, you won't see many products. I think~

The one I'm currently using is a Victoria Secret Clear Sparkle Confetti Makeup Bag. It was a gift from my friend Ceci and I like it because it is a lot bigger than my other makeup bags which means I can carry a lot more with me. And the fact that it is a clear bag makes it easier for me to see everything I need.
Plus, it looks very happy and festive!

The products that change the most are my lippies and blushes, other than that, I use the same products during the week.

I'm gonna list the products down below if you feel like checking them out:

♡ Sailor Moon mirror
♡ Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-up (in number 04 Matt Ivory)
♡ Beauty Blender (TEDi)
♡ Sephora Winter Wonderland Blush Brush
♡ Essence Mosaic Blush (20 All you need is pink)
♡ Victoria's Secret Pink Beach Flower Body Mist (Beach Life)
♡ MINISO Beauty Stick (02 Concealing)
♡ TonyMoly Bbo Bbo Lip Balm (Blueberry)
♡ Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner (Black)
♡ Pil'aten Shea Hand Cream
♡ Brow pencil (couldn't find the brand)
♡ Essence Make me Brow gel mascara (01 blondy brows)
♡ Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick (04 Pink Up Your Life)
♡ Essence Instant Volume Boost Mascara
♡ TonyMoly Crystal Stick Shadow (01 Snow White)
♡ Mary Kay Beauty Blotters
♡ Flormar Ultra Nude Eyeliner
♡ Tweezers
♡ Hair tie
♡ Arabela Nice Skin Lipbalm with collagen

Video version with more details and long chit chat

See you next time~! ♡

MINISO Makeup haul || 5 Products tested ||

Hello dollies!
I've shared a bit of my obsession with MINISO by now and of course I was really looking forward to try their skincare & makeup products. First, I got to try some of their facemasks but it took me a while to go for the makeup~ (you know, so many things to choose from).

I took my time to put this post together because I usually like to try products for at least a couple of weeks before having an opinion on wether I like them or not. With that being said, let's start.

Ok, first of all, I have to say that the prices of the products are very cheap and they have some fun and cute stuff. I also noticed they have different lines or collections and prices can change depending on the line.

I'm going to start with the oldest item, this was one of the first things I got there and it's the Water Based Peel Off Nail Polish. The one I got is in number 05 "Blue Gray"

I got curious when I saw they were peel off and claimed to change according to your mood so, I had to try it.
The color is beautiful and the presentation is nice and clean. I love the little rose gold touch.
It does have a flowerish scent to it that doesn't drive me crazy. It dries really fast and you only need 2 coats to get the color.
Because it is peel off, durability isn't that great. It lasts for about one day or two. (you can't expect much anyway). Cool thing is, once it's starts peeling, you just peel off the whole thing (it's satisfying!) and can always paint your nail again without having to ruin the others.
It reminded me of some Minnie Mouse red nail polishes I used to have when I was a little girl cuz they used to peel off easily.
Did I like it? Yes, they are fun to play with and useful IF you want a one day nail color. Also, I really loved the color.
Would I buy more? Nope. I don't have time to worry about my nails randomly peeling off.
And btw... the color never changed even if my mood did!

Moving on to the face, I got 3 products. One is the Beauty Stick in number 02 "Concealing" which is...well, a concealer.

Features: "Lightweight texture, mosturizing and non-irritating formula. Perfectly conceal flaws and impurities on skin. Small size, easy to carry around. For a flawless and natural look."
As it says, it is very lightweight. It comes with a rotating end to get the product to it's easy to work with, the applicator is very soft and I was surprised to see it's actually good.

I'd say it's medium coverage but since the formula is very light, you can build it up applying more than one layer without feeling or looking cakey.

Ignore my funny face xD

One thing I noticed is that they only have one color so it doesn't match every skintone. I was lucky because it matches mine. I believe the other two beauty sticks are highlighter and bronzer (which I don't really use)
Did I like it? Yes! It's a good product for a very decent price, I've tried other concealers that are more expensive but feel to thick on the skin. It's great to cover dark circles and red spots.
Would I buy it again? Defo!
Miniso, we need a larger variety of colors, please!

Next is the Mini Poni Shell Makeup Base. This one os from the Mini Poni (looks more like a unicorn to me tho) line. They had like 3 shell makeup bases, which are the ones with a pearl finish: 01 white, 02 pink and 03 beige; and 3 matte ones. (can't remember the names tho)
The one I got is in number 02 "Pink"

Features: "Formula with brightening ingredients. Give your skin a luminous glow as bright as a pearl. Leaves skin radiant, revitalized and refreshed."
It has a very light and watery formula thant instantly gives your skin a very natural glow. I don't really use highlighters so this product is perfect to add that extra something to my skin and it minimizes pores.
The color is slightly pink but it blends with your skin tone as it dries. It also has a very subtle scent.
I've been loving how healthy my skin looks when I use it, I just wouldn't recommend it if you have oily skin. You can also use it as a base for a matte foundation if you don't want a very "glowy" skin.
And, it is really pretty to look at.

Do I like it? A lot! I love the way it makes my skin look bright and healthy. You know, that Asian dewy skin kind of look.
Would I buy it again? I'm actually tempted to try the other two colors.

The last face product we have is the Shiyokubutsu Beauty Skin Makeup Base.

Features:"Plans essence is condensed in the fine cream, soft and comfortable. The product can serve as a makeup foundation and block and can beautify your skin at he same time. It can cover flaws on your face only with a thin layer, make your skin whiter, adjust uneven skin, brighten your complexion, block pollutants from outside and modify your makeup in general. It is soft and longlasting. Helps you get a perfect makeup." (Wow, that was long).
Ok, the first thing I liked about this product was the packaging, it is really beautiful.
This product's formula is a lot thicker than the Mini Poni one and it takes longer to set on the skin. It has no color and a slight floral scent to it.
To be honest, I feel like this product did nothing to my makeup or skin. At first it gives a slight glow to the skin but once it dries, it's all gone. It didn't help my makeup to last longer or look any better. No brightening effect, you can still see flaws and pores.

Did I like it? I really tried to use it for a long time to see something good about it but... it's as if I was applying some cream before my makeup. Can't say I liked it.
Would I buy it again? Nope. It does nothing to the skin or makeup.

Moving on to the eyes (and the last product), I got this Three Color Eyeshadow in "Brown".
I honestly don't know if they have other colors too cuz I only found these but I have to say they were veeeery cheap, the pigmentation is good and the colors are really nice to create natural looks as well as smokey ones. The three shades are metallics, we have a sand-ish color, a bronze and a dark brown one. Even tho the packaging is really simple, it comes with a mirror, which I appreciate. Haven't used the applicator cuz I'm just very used to my brushes~

Did I like it? Yes!! Beautiful colors, good pigmentation for a great price!
Would I buy it again? If they come with more shades, yeah!

That's it for this makeup haul/review post. I gotta say I've liked most of the things I got but, you can also find products that are not that great. I still want to try more of their products so, let me know if there's one in particular you'd like me to try.
I also got some lipsticks but, I'll talk about them in a separate post. Hope you enjoy this post and, until next time!

What I've been watching: Anime & Movies

Hi there!
Summer is here and as far as I know, some people should be on a break now. I will spend my break home and I'm assuming some of you are on the same situation so, I decided to share some of the shows and movies I've been loving this year so you can check them out if you feel like it. I'll be sharing only the ones I finished and save the rest for future posts.
I can't remember the last time I shared shows so...here we go!

❥ ANIME:

ORANGE
Even tho it is a short anime it took me a while to finish it, mainly because I didn't want it to end. This is one of those shows that
made me cry in almost every episode. Maybe I'm too emotional~
The story is about a high school student named Naho who receives letters sent from herself 10 years into the future asking her to prevent her biggest regrets. I know it sounds a bit weird but it really gets serious and even sad. It also shows a very strong friendship and unconditional love stuff. (my two favs...hehe).
It's only 13 episodes long but I swear is worth watching. Characters are lovely and you can't help but to love them. I found out there's a live action version too that I defo will watch soon.

CARD CAPTOR SAKURA: CLEAR CARD
If you were a CC Sakura fan, you'll love this one. It's pretty much the continuation to the original show but this time Sakura has to collect clear cards. You'll see the old characters but also, new ones and some romance too. Even tho it is very entertaining, I feel like the story was a bit slow and the real action and answers came at the end of the season leaving so many questions left... We'll have to wait for the next season...
It has 22 episodes and the first opening song is super catchy!
This is a bit random but, there's a lot of yummy-looking food in here so, be ready to feel hungry after watching the episodes!

Romance!

❥ MOVIES:

YOUR NAME
Is a Japanese animated drama/romance movie that was actually very famous like a year ago but, I just watched it this year... hehe. The movie is about two high school students who are total strangers and find themselves linked in a very weird way. One morning they start switching bodies and start communicating through messages. At first, I found the movie a bit confusing but as the movie goes on, it becomes a love story and yeah, it made me cry. I suck at writing movie plots and reviews so all I can say is, go watch it! I loved it.

KIMI NO SUIZOU TABETAI (aka. Let me eat your pancreas)
This is also a Japanese drama movie about a Teacher and his high school memories. Back then, he found his classmate's diary and that was what brought them together. She had a terminal pancreas desease and a strong will to enjoy her life to the fullest.
Then again, this movie made me cry, it's so good! It also made me think about how we all should enjoy our everyday as if it was the last one.
Also! Keiko Kitagawa is in it, she played Sailor Mars in the Sailor Moon live action version so, I was very excited to see her there!
I just found out there will be (or already is) an animated version of this movie so, it may be worth checking too.

VERONICA
Horror movies have to be included here, even tho I haven't been watching those many lately~ Veronica is a paranormal Spanish movie; pretty much about a possession. It's hard to find good horor movies these days and I have to admit I liked this one. It's not super scary but it has a few jump scenes and it'll keep you interested until the end.

THE INCREDIBLES 2
I'm not gonna spoil this for you guys, but if you haven't seen it and you liked the first one, this is a must watch. I absolutely loved it!

And, those are some of the shows & movies I've liked a lot, there are a few shows I'm loving but I'm not done with them yet.
What shows should I watch next? Any suggestion?

happy rainy summer!

June Favorites 2018: Beauty, Music & Stationery.

Wow! June was a very busy and eventful one, but still a great one. Thanks to everyone who made it a special month.♡

June went by really fast and I did buy a lot of new products to try but, those will be featured on future posts. There are a few things I've been loving way too much tho. So, let's take a look at this month's favs~

❥ BEAUTY

Last month I mentioned how much I liked the Lip Sweetness Double Lipstick from MINISO. I liked it so much that I got more of them... many more! My fav out of all of them is #06 Nude Red, that even tho it's called "someting red" is everything but red. To me is more like a dark pink than looks like a nude-is kind of color once you apply on the lips. I like the cute and natural look it gives. I also feel it makes my lips look a little fuller. (maybe it's just me)

DRINKS

The first one is an old favorite that recently came back to my life, it's the AriZona Green Tea with Ginseng and honey. I like AriZona drinks but this particular one is just addictive!

I recently found the Miss Elly Milk Soda Drink, which is a Korean drink that kinda reminds of the banana milk but, in a soda version. What first caught my attention was the cute bottle and it was defo worth it. I've only had the strawberry soda but there are other flavors too, such as banana and peach.

❥ MUSIC

I've been enjoying JNS music again since they got together after many, many years. First all the new versions of their old hits (my childhood!), and now their new album Metamorfosis.
One of my students went to their concert earlier this month (Because yeah, that 7 year old goes to many more concerts than I do) and she was sweet enough to remember her English teacher was a fan and got me the album. I've been playing it non stop this month and...I'm not planning to stop. Hehe.

STATIONERY

Once I tried the Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters in the Bullet Journal Workshop, I fell in love with them. Cuz I do use highlighters a lot but, sometimes I'm not too happy with the neon colors and... I LOVE PASTELS! I got 2 colors that were included in a kit first and decided to buy the rest. I have all of them now.

That's it for this month's favorites, it's been quite a busy month so, I'm sure there are a couple of things missing in here... Oh well.
