Summer Tag! ☀️

Last year I started sharing "seasonal question tags", I answered one for Fall and one for Winter. I totally missed Spring this year, oops! But I did remember Summer and found this short one. And I'm glad it's short cuz I don't think I have many Summer favs... we'll see.

Summer is not my fav season, I don't dislike it, I just think it'd be my least favorite one. Ironically, this tag is called I heart Summer Tag... Oh well~ Let's do this!

1. Your dream summer vacation.
I don't think I have a "dream" Summer vacation but, it's no secret I'd loooove to go to Japan, so that could be my first option. But I guess a fun day at the beach or in a swimming pool, with the typical drinks, snacks and games could be an ideal one. You know, like those anime beach summer specials. Haha.

2. Favorite summer drink.
Super cold beer, fresh coktails and ice cream floats.

Mom & I especially love to make ice cream floats during Summer.

3. S’mores or ice cream?
Ice cream!

4. Pool or Beach?
Pool? just because I rarely go to the beach. But I love the beach.

5. Would you rather spend a summer day outside in the pool or inside watching Netflix?
This is a toguh one cuz I really enjoy both things. Both maybe? Pool in the morning and Netflix after that.

6. Your most fun summer memory?
Honestly I don't think I have just one, most of the Summers I spent at my gradparents' in my hometown were the best. Grandpa would take us to the pool, to the movies, the circus, we would spend hours playing, dancing and singing with my cousins and had fun sleepovers. Those are memories I cherish a lot.

A walk down memory lane! I realized I don't have many pics of our Summers there so, I just picked a few of the ones I found. I wish I had a phone with a camera back then, I'm sure I'd have tons of fun pics with my cousins and grandparents.

7. Favorite summer nail polish?
I've been wearing darker colors or glue-on nails lately but last Summer I wore this super bright and fun lilac color from Bissú called "Corazón soñador" (533). I think it's a great color for the season.

8. Sunglasses or hats?
Sunglasses! I do like hats just... not on me I guess. I feel weird wearing them. But I do love sunglasses and I wear them often.

9. Favorite summer scent?
I don't think I have one. I like fruity scents tho, especially watermelon, strawberry and cherry. But I'm not sure if all of those can be considered Summer scents.

10. Favorite BBQ food?
I'll go with the classics: hamburgers and hot-dogs.

11. Bikinis, tankinis, or one pieces?
I think I like them all, I'm just not confident enough to wear a bikini. So I think tankinis or one pieces.

12. Summertime book recommendations.
I honestly don't read much. I've been reading more this year but I don't think I've read something with Summer vibes yet~ I'm open to recommendations tho.

And that is that guys! It was a pretty short tag but I always enjoy answering them. Feel free to send me some Summer recommendations to make this season a bit more... summery, haha. (Summerween stuff is always more than welcome!)

See you next time~!💋

夏祭り 2015 (Natsu Matsuri)

Hey guys!
My Summer break is about to be officially over! But! I got the chance to go to a Natsu Matsuri (Japanese Summer festival) as my last trip out of the city.
And even tho the event wasn't as big as I thought it would be, the whole environment and people there made it all nice and fun.

There were some fun contests, yummy food and some goodies to buy. SO many cute families and...sake! YUM!
I went with my dad and sister and we had a really good time. The place was really pretty with big gardens and stuff.
They also had Ikebana classes but, I'm not good with flowers so...I just watched from afar~ hehe.

The festival was 2 days long, we only went on Saturday but, it was worth it. I did bought a few things but mostly food, sweets and yeah, sake. I actually wanted to be part of the Sake contest but the day was just too hot so we kinda left early. And now that I think about it...I also missed the sake degustation because the family was so anxious to eat first~~~~

Food was just great! My sister and I had bento while my dad decided to try a hot-dog with yakisoba on top and some okonomiyaki.

My yummy food!
Definitely want to come back next year!

Out & About: Fun in the sun! ☼

Hi guys!
I feel like I've been on the road too many times lately~~~~ Anyways!
Last weekend we celebrated my friend Keisha's birthday and since it's the Summer time we decided to do something different and go to this resort and spend a summer-ish day there. We jumped from pool to pool, to jacuzzi to thermal water. (which has to be THE best thing ever)
It felt SO good to relax all day in the water, leave the rainy days aside for a day and even being away from our phones all day long!
We made a mini picnic and got facemasks.

Definitely felt like a Summer break day. I would really like to go back and enjoy some relaxing time every once in a while.

Ok, you know me! I tend to take a ton of pics (and video) wherever I go! here are some of our day!

And also, Happy Birthday to the shopping buddy Keisha (again!) I'm so happy to celebrate another year in your life! I'm so proud of you and everything you've achieved so far! Many more great things to come!!

Random fact: I was called Marine Goddess the whole day!
xox Marine Goddess! kkk

And here's the vlog of our day!

Summer cleaning and giving away!

Hi hi!

This Summer has been definitely a busy one! I've been helping my sister with a great project she has going on. But even though we've been all over the place, I'm taking some time to make a huge room cleaning. And basically, it's not only cleaning, I'm also getting rid of the things I no longer use. I always wait until summer break to spend some time doing it since it's my longer break.

I can't believe all the things I have, and sometimes it's hard to find room for everything so, I pretty much separate what I really use and what I don't use anymore and give it to people who actually need it.
I still have some toys and things I had when I was a little girl and even though I love them, it's always good to make some space for the new things.
What I usually do is show the stuff I'm giving away to my close friends (and family) to see if they want to keep something. Once they check out my stuff, I give the rest to people in need.
This time I went through some makeup, perfumes, clothes, toys and even some decoration items. I always make sure I'm giving away things that are in good condition. Some of them were never even worn / used.

So, even though it takes a while to go through everything (It usually takes like a week) I feel really good doing it.
I think we all should try doing that at least once. It makes me happy to know that the things I don't use anymore can make someone happy.
