Upgrading My Coffee Station! ☕

A couple of years ago I shared what I did with my coffee station, I actually put a lot of love and effort into it and I was pretty proud of what I did with it. But even tho I was happy with it, I knew I wanted to change it at some point. I don't know about you guys but, whenever someone DIYs something I love it but, whenever I do it, I feel it looks too... well, DIYed and not in the best way.

Not long ago, I found this kitchen cabinet thing for a very good price on Temu (yes, I've been obsessed with Temu lately) and decided to get it and finally upgrade the space.

Before I continue, I want to show you how it looked before. I've changed some things and added more decor since the last time I shared it in here.

This was how it looked right before I changed it. I was still planning to add more decor above the shelf. At the bottom I had a basket with random things, my french press and some mugs to make some tea. And I also had Masha's favorite hideout.

Since the desk is still strong and in a very good condition despite how old it is (it's been with me since I was a teenager so, yeah~), I gave it to my mom, she needed a working desk so, I'm glad we can still keep it in the family and give it a good use.

Now, let me show you how it looks now. I liked the new cabinet thing because it had the same length as the desk and was only slighty taller so it'd perfectly fit the space I already had. One thing I didn't like  and you'll see it in the pictures is that some of the parts of the cabinet were damaged and of course it bothers me but, I wasn't expecting it to be super high quality. Most of the damaged pieces are hidden, the only obvious one is on the right door, I'll have to find a way to fix it or cover it somehow.

Plus, as I was puttin it together, I had to make my own fixes because the doors kept coming out of place when I opened them and two of the wouldn't stay closed. I'm proud of myself for finding a way to make it work.

I kept the top shelf, it still matches pretty well. As you can see, I still have the same things, just organized differently and I added 2 more signs to fill the empty spaces it had before.

The top shelf remained pretty much the same as it was before, I really like the Coffee Station sign. Even tho it's just a flat, metal sign, it looks 3D if you if you see it from the front. I wish it was 3D for real...

Closer look to the things I have on the top shelf:
On the left we have a black, metal sign my mom gave me not too long ago, a frame with a napking I kept from a café in spain that says "Batería baja, necesito cafeína", a sakura cup that was a pressie and my Witches Brew reusable cup.
In the center there's my bamboo, a framed pic I got years ago at an anime con with some cakes and drinks on it and two pottery pieces made by the bestie.
And, on the right is my new Witches Brew Coffee House sign, a tea pot and other ceramic cups.
I do change the things I have up here depending on the season, especially for Halloween and Christmas.

And now, the actual cabinet. I like it because the doors help me to keep some things hidden and it doesn't look messy. I kept the old signs I had, my coffee maker, the espresso machine, my most used cups and mugs and some tea and coffee.

Closer look to the lower part.
On the right pic you can take a look inside the doors where I put my cups and mugs, it doesn't really show but it's deep enough to store 3 rows of cups, I still have a lot of space to sotre more! Hehe.
On the left is what I have inside the biggest door, here I have more reusable cups, thermos and some tea stuff.

As I was moving everything to this cabinet, I decluttered a little and got rid of some stuff. Now I have more space in the kitchen to store other things and have everything coffee related here.

Before and after pics ♡

There are still things I want to get, change and add but all in all, I'm very happy with how it looks, everything looks more put together and organized. It took me a while to upgrade it but, I think it was defo worth it.

I'll include the video version of this whole thing in case you want to check the process a little bit more or you just wanna skip the reading part, haha.

That'll be it for now, there are other things in the house I want to work on so, hopefully I'll be able to share those changes around here soon.

See you next time~!

Sakura House Haul 🌸

I've made other sakura hauls in the past because, I am a sucker for everything sakura. This could've been the perfect Spring haul but it took me forever to put it togehter and, Summer is basically here now. Oh well~ I'm sharing it anyway. This time is all about house stuff; random, small house stuff. Some of the items here were pressies and I bought others, I've been collecting them for a few months now so not everything is available in stores anymore.

Let's start!

I honestly don't know if this was something I needed but it's a sakura funnel and I didn't have one so, I got it. Guess it'll come in handy one day, haha. I got this one from Prichos, which is like a dollar store. Even tho I bought it at the beginning of the year, I've still seen it in the store.

This was labeled as a flower pot but I got it thinking it was a popcorn bucket thingy or something like that so, that's what I'm using it for. It has a perfect size for individual snacks and the material feels pretty strong. This was also from Prichos as part of the Mother's Day collection the had this year.

Next we have this cute tin my sister got for me. I have a similar one with butterflies and blue flowers and honestly? They make a very cute item to put some tea bags, candy and other small goodies. This is now on my coffee station with some tea inside.

This next items are from a Chinese department store.

I fell in love with these bowls as soon as I saw them. They had it in blue too and I regret not getting it too. They have the perfect size for rice. I'm sure I'll get at least 2 more if I find them next time I go to that store.

This might be the most irrelevant and random item here but, it also has sakura flowers so, yeah. It's basically a kitchen cloth but it absorbs water just great. The were sold individualy and only had this color but, I regret not getting more. It's become one of my favorites.

I already showed these in my Birthday Pressies post but, I'll include them here too. These were a gift from one of my friends. I believe they were candle holders but I want to use them as sauce or dessert bowls. They are very, very pretty in person.

And, I think that's everything I wanted to show you. I feel like I don't make as many house hauls as I thought I would. Maybe I'll start sharing a bit more, let me know if you'd like that.

See you next time~!💋

Apartment 07 | My Christmas Mugs & Cups |🎄

Months ago I shared some of my favorite pink cups & mugs around here and, in my head, I was going to do that with the seasonal ones I have but, I completely forgot to do it on Halloween so, yeah.

But we're doing it now, I'm sharing my small collection of Christmas cups & mugs. Honestly I don't have too many Chrsitmas things and most of these cups have been presents. I had to get rid of some when I moved but I'm sure the collection will grow with time.

Let's start in no particular order~

🎄Snowman mug

Out of the Christmas mugs I have, this is the first one I've bought and it's also the newest one. Last week, I bought matching mugs for me, my sister and mom and had them over to drink hot ponche, use the mugs and then everyone could theirs home. I like, not only because it is obviously cute but also because it's pretty big. Perfect for coffee in the morning.

🎄Stainless steel Christmas cup

This is one of my oldest ones. I received it as a gift from a student I think. I'm almost sure, hehe. The design is pretty simple, yet cute. It has a retro vibe to it
Since it is small, I use it for tea or even eggnog, it's too small for my morning coffee. The only thing i don't like about it is that, since it's made of stainless steel, it gets super hot with the drinks.

🎄Message mug

Even tho the message is not super Christmassy, it is a seasonal mug with holly plant thingies around the "Be Awesome Today & Everyday" quote.
This was a gift from my sister back in 2018 when I came back from Spain. It is a pretty big and heavy mug that I started using a lot more this year.

🎄Dallas Cowboys Christmas Mug

So, some of you might already know this, thanks to my dad, I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. Years ago, one of my former students went to the Dallas Cowboys stadium and bought this one for me. It's pretty simple and clean but still pretty and festive. Size is pretty good too.

🎄Santa & snowman red cups

And lastly, we have these two. I think one is my mom's but I'm not sure which one. They were also presents from students. I don't really used them much because they are pretty small. Then again, maybe for tea, eggnog, ponche~
Right now they're just decorating my coffee station.

And, that is it! My small collection. I also have some reusable cups, tumblers and mason jars I didn't include here. Let me know if you'd like to see them too.

See you next time~!🤍

Starhaus Berry Cardamon Scented Candle 🕯️

I've been into candles a lot lately, Idk, there's something magical and cozy about them. Especially now that the weather is getting colder.

My mom gave me this one as a pressie last Halloween. As the name says, it is a  raspberry & cardamom candle. It smells delish, it is sweet, but not super overpowering.

The candle comes in a nice glass container, it is pretty big too, which makes it feel fancier somehow, hehe.
Plus I think the color goes well with my normal decoration so, I can keep it on display all year round. They work as cute decoration pieces too!

This might be the shortest post ever but, I just wanted to share this cnadle with y'all.
See you next time~! ♡

Fall scents: Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Scented Candle 🕯️

I received this candle as a pressie from my sister's bestie last December and since I didn't share it back then, but now is be the right time to do it since, it is a perfect Fall scent!

It's the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Scented Candle with cinnamon, clove, and brown sugar notes that makes it the perfect Fall scent. It really smells like pumpkin spice!

The jar is super cute, it screams Fall and well, it also works as a decoration item. Love it. Something I really like about Bath & Body Works products is the quality. The smell of these candles is strong and amazing! It really fills the room just by opening the jar.

I've lit the candle a couple of times before, even when it was not Fall but, I'm fully enjoying it now. It makes my apartment feel so cozy!

What are your favorite Fall scents? 🍂

Apartment 07 | My 5 Favorite Pink Mugs & Cups 🍵 |

I love coffee! Good coffee, strong coffee and even instant coffee. (I'm lazy to make myself good coffee everyday so, yeah) and I like my mugs to match the season, hehe.

I don't have many mug sets tho, most of them are random ones I find pretty, anime & show mugs or pressies.

My mom collected mugs, so did my dad. I guess it was only natural for me to do it too~ I started "collecting" them when I was living with my parents. Many of them were pressies and, as I grew older, I started buying my own. I usually reach out for the same ones but I do change them as the seasons change. I decided to show you some of my fav pink mugs because I think they can work as "spring mugs" too. Maybe.

This is also my way of sharing a little bit more about my home in here.

Let's do this.

💮 Hello Kitty Mug. I bought this one a while ago at Walmart. I can say it is one of my most frequently used ones because I find its size perfect for my morning coffee. Plus, I am a big Sanrio fan and, even tho it is a pretty simple mug, I find it cute.

💮 Pink holographic mug. My dad gave me this one as a part of a birthday gift, years ago so I don't know where it is from. I love its holographic color and the phrase on it: "Be yourself everyday". This is not my everyday mug but, I do use it often. I also love ot take pics of it. Drinks look pretty in it!! Hehe. I think this one came with a cork coaster that I still have somewhere.

💮 Sakura "sipper cup". I am obsessed with everything sakura and my friends know it! This was a bday pressie from the bestie but, I know it is from Dokkoi. Ok, it is not 100% pink but I think the sakura is enough to include it in the list. This one doesn't have a handle and I found they are called "sipper cups". It's not big so I usually drink tea in it and right now, it is displayed on my coffee station becuase, it's just too pretty.

💮 Sakura mug. Guess what? This was also a gift from the bestie! I believe it was a X-mas pressie. It is a beautiful cup from Miniso with pink sakura and the cutest bunny in the cup. This one came with a small pink plate, perfect for desserts. This one is also displayed on my coffee station atm.

💮 Cat mug. This one is my newest ones. It was a pressie I received from one of my coworkers last X-mas. It is super cute! It's a pastel pink cat mug with golden details. It came with a lid and a matching spoon that is adorbs. I love eating dessert with that spoon, hehe.

And, that is that! Now that I wrote this, I realized I don't have as many pink mugs as I thought. Even tho I try not to buy many anymore, it's hard and the collection seems to keep growing. I might share more in the future, depending on the season. Would you like that? Let me know!!

See you next time~! ⛾♡

20 things I love about my home

I feel like I don't share things about my apartment in here as much as I wanted to, guess it's just easier and faster to share some pics on Instagram but, as I was planning to write about some of the things I loved to have in my home, I came across this list of "20 things I love about my home"and just loved the idea.

My apartment is still a work in progress, there are still so many things I want to buy, change and do. I'm constantly moving things around but, it defo feels like a home now.

When I first moved, I thought I had a very clear idea of how I wanted the style to be, the colors I wanted and the type of furniture I was going to buy. And even tho I kept the pastel colors I originally wanted, the style is a mix of cute and girly with some Japanese touches here and there. I have neutral or modern pieces but, also very vintage hand-me-downs I love and I don't even care if it matches "my style" or not.

I love my home but I think making this post will make me think of the smallest details that make this place, a special one so, let's get into it. This list has no particular order.

1. Receiving this apartment as a present from my dad. I do realize how lucky I am, it'd have taken me years and years to save enough money to buy my own place. Not paying a rent is also big help. It is something I'll be forever thankful for.

2. It is my first home as an adult. I don't know if it makes sense. Other than my family home, this is my first own place. A place that also helped me adult for real and become a lot more independent (even tho I'm still learning so many things). I love making my own decisions and doing things my way.

3. The things my dad helped me put and install. Dad and I wanted to do many things around the house together. He was a very handy man and helped me with a lot of things around my place like: hanging curtain rods, shelves, supervising the installation of my floor tiles and much more. I also learned while watching and helping him with these things. ♡

4. Having things made by people I love. I am surrounded by super talented people and I'm super proud of them, that's why I really like having things made by family and friends displayed here in the apartment.

5. How easily I can see fireworks from my living room.🎆 This might be random but, I looooove fireworks. I live near a town dedicated to make them so, I see them often from the comfort of my living room and honestly, it's not as noisy as it is in other places. It makes me happy!

6. My open kitchen - dining - living area. Just because it makes the space look bigger and it's easy to talk to others when you have people over while you work in the kitchen and stuff.

7. My tiny bathroom. I think this was the first room I "finished decorating". It's super small so, it was an easy task, hehe. I especially love the shower, the water pressure of it is sooo good!

8. Having random spaces for my fur babies. My cats are very important to me so, I'm happy to be able to have their things around the place to help them feel more comfortable and happy. In the end, it is their home too.

9. My personality is everywhere! And I just love that! When I look at old photos, I used to do the same with my bedroom when I lived at my parents', you could really see my personality cramped in one room, it was too much tho. Now I'm able to add small touches here and there all around the place. Plus, I don't have to please anyone with the way I decorate my house, I put what I want, where I want.

10. I became a handy girl. Yeah, I didn't used to do much before moving and now I discovered I love to work with tools, put things together, paint and fix things when I can. Sometimes I try before asking for help, in the past, it would've been the other way around.

11. My small kitchen. Even tho I'm not a big fan of cooking, it has to be one of my favorite places! It has pushed me to cook more often so, I do make an effort sometimes. Plus, there are so many cute kitchen stuff! I find myself buying lots of things for it.

12. My plants. I have never been good with plants and I don't have a garden but, I do have a couple of plants that, surprisingly, have survived living with me. I'm really trying and I'm proud of them, hehe.

13. I finally have a walk-in closet! Which is still in progress but, it is something I wanted since I was a little girl. It's not the most organized space ever but, I'm very happy with it.

14. Cleaning is faster. Cleaning is another thing I don't enjoy doing but having a small place makes it faster and easier. I don't complain.

15. My floor tiles. Mainly because, I got to choose them! When I first moved, I didn't know much about floor tiles, I never even thought about them, all I knew was I wanted something nice and neutral. Many people told me getting white-ish tiles wouldn't be a good idea but, I don't regret my decision. I love my floor tiles!

16. The time I spend working on it. And by working I mean, decorating, painting, DIYing some things, etc. It's been a slow process but I have enjoyed every part of it! There's still a long way to go before I finish everything I want to do but, I'm really looking forward to doing it.

17. I can go all the way out decorating for my favorite holidays. Especially Halloween! We all know how much I love this holiday. Back at my parents' house, I could only decorate my room. I think I decorated the house only once so, being able to do it every year now, is exciting. Of course I aso decorate for Christmas and, as time goes by, I kinda want to start doing it for other holidays / seasons too.

18. I can have random anime stuff around the house and no one can say anything about it. It's not like I have a lot around, my house doesn't scream "otaku house" (I think 😂), but I can display a couple of things here and there if I want to. And not just anime, things like Darth Vader or We Bare Bears plushies in the living room whithout having people say they shouldn't be there cuz it's "too childish" or whatever.

19. Sharing my home with people I love. And by that I mean I only let people I love into my house. Whether it's family or friends, I get to be a little more selective than when I lived with my parents. And I don't say it in a bad way, but it is my personal space and I like deciding who I share it with.

20. The memories I'm making here. I don't know if this is going to make sense but, you know how sometimes you go to a house or any place and it kinda tells a story with all the things it has? I kinda like to think my house is writing its own story with the memories I make here, people I share it with, things I buy, recieve and even those hand-me-downs that already had a story.

There you go, 20 random things I love about my house. Having my own place has changed my shopping game a little too. Now I buy more things for the apartment than for myself, hehe. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post, I'll try to share more house-related stuff more often. Let me know if there's something in specific you'd like me to write about.

See you nect time~! ♡
