Hello my loves!
On November 9th we celebrated my best friend's birthday attending to a festival that her former school, MOA, was holding. It was such a nice and fun way to celebrate her birthday, learning and sharing something that's very special to her.
As some of you know, I'm not that much of a crafty person. I enjoy it but I'm not really good at it. I've been trying and it's been fun.
This event had different workshops including Japanese caligraphy, cooking class (which I missed because I arrived a little late... They made sushi and mochi!), flower arrangements and pottery.

The price for these workshops was actually very, very affordable, they gave you all the materials you needed and you got to take your finished product home with you.
We started with the Flower arrangement workshop. It was actually a lot of fun! I even got to do origami which I suck at! But I'm proud to say my flowers turned out ok-ish. Hehe.
We enjoyed the process and laughed a lot and well, we took pretty nice flower crafts home with us.
I loved how the teacher talked about the whole process, you could tell she really liked and enjoy what she was doing.

Then we moved on to the Pottery workshop, and this is something Lu is passionate about so we were looking forward to try.
The teacher explained us the techniques we could use to make a vase or a bowl type of thingy.
I only had time to make one because well... it me! But some of my friends made more than just one piece. It was very relaxing to work with the clay (hoping that's what it's called), mold it and decorate it. Of course that was the "easy" part, the teachers took care of the rest and we're supposed to get a call to go get out final piece. I'm excited to have my own handmade pottery piece! I'll share it with you guys as soon as I get it.
I found it so nice and relaxing~ |
There's a vlog of this experience here if you wanna check it out. Also click here to learn more about MOA and what they offer.
I'll see you net time!♡
I'm so glad you got to experience one of my favorite things in life, especially since my health doesn't allow me to do it anymore.
