Birthday Pressies 2024 🎁🩷

I'm late with this post as usual but, here is my birthday post. This year my birthday was on a Monday (June 03rd) and since it is one of my busiest days, I started celebrating the weekend before. It all started with my family, lots of food, drinks, music & fun, then at work with my students and coworkers and last weekend I also celebrated with my friends.

It was really nice because I had surprises and celebrations before and after the actual day. As every year, I'm going to show you the pressies I recieved in no particular order. We're going to start with the cakes tho, cuz there's no bday celebration without cake. (or cakes! hehe)

First one was a mint-chocolate cake, next to it a strawberry cheesecake. Both were from my mom and sister. Next one was a cake a former student made for me, she decorated it with pink frosting cuz she knows, hehe. I shared that one with my students and the last one was the one I was supposed to eat with my friends but it had a little accident and died. I did have another cake but, for some reason, I don't have a pic of it.

Moving on to the pressies:

Sake my love! I received 2 bottles of Gekkeikan Sake. It was my frist time trying it and, I really, really liked it.

I love coffee but I usually drink instant because I'm lazy to make good coffee. Now I have no excuse, I received a coffee maker from Black + Decker which makes my life easier, hehe. I feel like my coffee station is a lot more complete now. It also came with some coffee

Glue-on nails cuz you know, I'm a fan of fake nails since mine are never long enough or just pretty in general. These actually looked very natural.

Passion fruit chocolates and a coconut candle.

I know I already shared the cake but it came with a mini pink Bissú nail polish.

Birthday muffin and Starbucks drink

I already shared a post about my tat but, I'm including it here because it was one of my pressies. If you want to read more about it, click here!

Here come some Sanrio goodies. Fist we have a Hello Kitty lip tint and a cute body cream and mist from Secret Scents. I can't tell the exact scent but it is soft and sweet.

Hello Kitty and My Melody are 2 of my fav Sanrio characters. Here we have some cute socks, hair band and a makeup bag.

Anime keychains! Osaki Nana and Sailor Moon ones.

Cute notebooks.

And these super cool makeup sponges.

Of course, we had some yummies too, these are mint-chocolate taffy. They are one of my favs!

This has to be one of my favs, a Barbie reusable bag. Love, love, love it! Most of my reusable bags aren't pretty so, I'm really excited to have a cute one now.

I'll move on to some clothes now. Remember I'm not good at taking clothes pictures so, yeah.

I loved these wide-leg black pants, plus, they are very comfortable.

Cute cherry pj's!

This green blouse has a very nice back but I didn't have time to take a nice pic of it, guess I'll show you later. Plus, I don't have many green pieces so, it'a a nice change.

First thing I thought when I saw these tweed pink shorts was: "Legally Blonde"
I love them!

That is that for this year guys!
I feel like I always say this but, I really am lucky to have amazing people around me who are constantly showing me their love and support. This month is hard for me because it was also my dad's birthday and, father's day and I'm really thankful for everyone who makes it a little easier for me. I am so not excited to be a year older but, I feel like good things will come my way~! 💋

My Bleach 10th Division Tattoo 🏵️

So, for my birthday, I did something a little bit out of my character, I decided to get my first tat. I mean, I know getting tattoos is something most people do but, it was something I thought was just not for me.

I remember years ago, I kinda wanted to get one, mostly because my boyfriend at that time had some and even started working at a tattoo studio but, I was never brave enough to actually do it and eventually moved on from the idea. I love men with tats but I'm hesitant when it comes to me because, I don't exactly love big tattoos on girls in general.

But something changed last year, I started considering it and it didn't go away this time and so, I finally did it a day before my birthday. My sister was the one who did it, which was also part of my bday pressies. She also gave me suggestions for sizes and places that would make it look nice.

Honestly, I didn't feel as nervous as I thought I would, maybe just when we were about to start but it went away as soon as we did. I was brave enough to do it without anesthesia and, for someone who is veeeery dramatic, I did pretty well. My sister was very gentle so, it was a good experience.

Surprisingly, I didn't bleed much and my skin wasn't as irritated. Even now, after a couple of days, it's looking and feeling just fine.

Now, let's move to the actual tat, I knew what I wanted to get, but I wanted it to be very small and somewhere I could easily hide if I needed to. My first idea was on the back of my neck but I was told it was a little more painful so, I ended up getting it on left side of my back, close to my shoulder. In the end, we decided that having a slightly bigger design would help the flower look better.

The flower I got is a Daffodil, which is the 10th Division flower in Bleach. So yeah, it is an anime tattoo, hehe. But, this one has a special meaning to me, not only because Bleach is on of my all time fav shows and I love the 10th squad so, so much. Rangiku is my spirit animal and her character represents a period of my life that was super happy and special to me, so having it tattooed is, in a way, something that holds beautiful memories.

Plus, I love the fact that only Bleach fans will know it is actually from the show, to other people, it's just a flower, hehe. So it is not an "in your face" anime tat. Nothing wrong with that tho.

I know many people were suprised I got it, especially those close to me. Guess I'm feeling a little more adventurous now, hehe. I don't know if I'd get more tattoos in the future, and if I do, they will be small ones but, guess we'll see. All I can say is, I'm very happy with this one, it's cute, looks kinda fun and flirty and, I just love it.

🛒 Walmart Finds | March / April / May 2024 |

Picture has absolutely nothing to do with the actual post but, the flowers are cute, hehe,

It took me longer than planned but here we are with some Walmart finds. This time it is only food and it won't be a very long post so, let's get into it.

Nestle came out with some new ice cream flavors and, even tho I haven't tried them all, I did try the brownie one and, it is so good! I love brownies and this one, didn't disappoint me. It is very creamy and has bits of almonds and brownie. Some of the other flavors I remember are: berries, vanilla-strawberry and triple chocolate.

I couldn't resist when I saw this unicorn pasta by La Moderna kids (lol). It has vitamins and iron. They use natural dyes including turmeric, beet, carrot and grape extract. Honestly, the taste is nothing out of the ordinary but the color combination is so cute! I can make any dish look pretty.

I really like Tajin so, this was a must try! Mission Tostadas Tajin are basically normal tortilla toasts covered in Tajin. I loved eating them with certain dishes or just alone as a snack, hehe. As if they were chips. Idk if this would be everyone's cup of tea but, it's defo an interesting combo.

Oreo Chopeo Espacial are regular Oreo but with space designs and blue filling. For some reason, they were a little more expensive than other Oreos. Still wanted to try them, just for the experience. They are limited edition so, idk for how long they'll be around.

Designs were cute and, they matched my nails! Haha

Great Value chips are a little more affordable than other brands and they are pretty good. The Salsa Verde Chips are kinda new and they are my fav chips atm. There's something about the flavor that takes me back to my childhood cuz it reminds me of a green sauce our nanny used to make. They are really good! They have the big version to share or, smaller individual bags.

And that is it for this post guys, feel free to let me know if you've tried some of these or, if you'd like to.

See you next time~! ♡

Teacher's Day Pressies 2024

Awkward teacher pic because I couldn't think of anything more teacher-ish than this~ hehe.

Last time I wrote a Teacher's Day pressies post was 2 years ago. Two years!! Don't really know why tho but, we're back at it because I just love to make these kind of posts for some reason.

Teacher's day was on May 15th, that day I only had a couple online classes and had a nice brunch with some of my coworkers. Some pressies started arriving a day before and others after the actual date. That was partly why it took me a while to put this post together.

Food was delish!

Anyway, let me show you my pressies this year. These are in no particular order.

How cute is this Pusheen Mason jar? I love the little straw decor. The jar had some gummies inside and came with a set of sticky notes.

My boss gave us personalized notebooks.

Stainless steel flower earrings with some spicy gummies.

A pencil lip balm. I think I'll keep this one in my classroom, it'd be the perfect place to use it, hehe.

Handmade peony flower candle. It is really, really pretty and smells great! I'm not sure if I'll ever light it, I'd feel bad!The candle is from iluminatamx.

I also received some candy (that I already ate), a pen that says "Believe in your dreams" and a bracelet.

I love chocolate so this one made me really happy! I want to display the can on my coffee station but, I don't know exactly what to use it for yet. It's too pretty!

These caramel empanadas were made by one of my students (at least that what she said), and they were delish!!

Cute bear candle. Sadly it got slightly damaged because of the heat in the car on my way back home.

New pencil case!

Bath and Body Works soap. It smells delicious.

Maki Home Ceramic cup, this was a pressie from my English coordinator. she's the sweetest.

And that is that guys, the pressies I received this year along with lots of hugs and sweet messages from my students.

Cute glue-on nails 🩵🩷

After getting acrylic nails, my nails were super ugly and damaged. I decided to remove them myself and I ended up with super thin nails, I had to cut them super short and some of my fingers hurt a little so. Lesson learned, I'll have them properly removed next time. 😅

I'm not new to glue-on nails, I used to buy them a lot in the past. I especially loved the ones from Elegant Touch. They have the cutest colors, look pretty natural and the glue has great quality. Not long ago, I saw these nails online and, since they had a good review, I wanted to try them.

They are from Prichos (which is like a dollar store you can find in most Walmart stores over here) and, even tho they were very cheap, they had like 3 different sets with pretty designs. They were all square shape tho.

I chose this one mainly because of the hearts design. Not saying the plain ones aren't pretty but, the hearts caught my attention. Plus, the colors felt bright and lively.

The kit comes with 24 nails, this gives you the chance to wear them twice if the sizes are right and, some glue. The glue is pretty good for a cheap one. It dries fast and glues the nails strongly without damaging your nails when you remove them.

They last for about a week, the application is clean and easy and since they aren't very thick, they feel comfortable.

I have very bad and awkward hand posing but still wanted to show you how the nails looked. They have a very decent lenght that allows you to do things.

I did apply them 10 minutes before my class so I didn't choose the sizes very carefully so, some of the nails ended up being slightly big on my actual nails. Oh well~

I ended up cutting and filing them a little bit. I kinda like them a little bit more this way.

Honestly, I was impressed with the quality of these nails and I kinda want to buy the other designs too have around whenever I want/need them. They are defo worth it, especially because they are very, very affordable.

See you next time~! ♡
