Apartment 07 | My Christmas Mugs & Cups |πŸŽ„

Months ago I shared some of my favorite pink cups & mugs around here and, in my head, I was going to do that with the seasonal ones I have but, I completely forgot to do it on Halloween so, yeah.

But we're doing it now, I'm sharing my small collection of Christmas cups & mugs. Honestly I don't have too many Chrsitmas things and most of these cups have been presents. I had to get rid of some when I moved but I'm sure the collection will grow with time.

Let's start in no particular order~

πŸŽ„Snowman mug

Out of the Christmas mugs I have, this is the first one I've bought and it's also the newest one. Last week, I bought matching mugs for me, my sister and mom and had them over to drink hot ponche, use the mugs and then everyone could theirs home. I like, not only because it is obviously cute but also because it's pretty big. Perfect for coffee in the morning.

πŸŽ„Stainless steel Christmas cup

This is one of my oldest ones. I received it as a gift from a student I think. I'm almost sure, hehe. The design is pretty simple, yet cute. It has a retro vibe to it
Since it is small, I use it for tea or even eggnog, it's too small for my morning coffee. The only thing i don't like about it is that, since it's made of stainless steel, it gets super hot with the drinks.

πŸŽ„Message mug

Even tho the message is not super Christmassy, it is a seasonal mug with holly plant thingies around the "Be Awesome Today & Everyday" quote.
This was a gift from my sister back in 2018 when I came back from Spain. It is a pretty big and heavy mug that I started using a lot more this year.

πŸŽ„Dallas Cowboys Christmas Mug

So, some of you might already know this, thanks to my dad, I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. Years ago, one of my former students went to the Dallas Cowboys stadium and bought this one for me. It's pretty simple and clean but still pretty and festive. Size is pretty good too.

πŸŽ„Santa & snowman red cups

And lastly, we have these two. I think one is my mom's but I'm not sure which one. They were also presents from students. I don't really used them much because they are pretty small. Then again, maybe for tea, eggnog, ponche~
Right now they're just decorating my coffee station.

And, that is it! My small collection. I also have some reusable cups, tumblers and mason jars I didn't include here. Let me know if you'd like to see them too.

See you next time~!🀍

Manga Reading: Nana Volume 7.8πŸ“ | Nana & Hachi Premium Fan Book! |

It's been a while since my last Nana Manga posts. Like a year I think? I just feel lazy to write them sometimes cuz, for some reason, it takes me forever. Don't get me wrong, I still love it. I need to catch up because by now, all the volumes have been published and I only have half of them. Anyway, Last month I bought the 7.8 volume. Which is not an actual manga, it's more like a guide through Nana's world.

It is slightly bigger than other volumes but as thick as them. We have a cute pic of both Nanas fixing their makeup in front of a mirror.

When you remove the sleeve we can see other characters too with a bottle green background. Really nice!

It came with a cute postcard!

Something I really loved about it is that it includes some color pages, it gives it an extra something. Here's the content you'll find in this volume:

πŸŽ” NANA's Gallery - Memories & Regrets: This is one of the colored pages. It shows cute real life pictures with some Nana deets in them. Love them!

πŸŽ” NANA's world TOUR GUIDE: This is the other colored part and it shows some of the real places shown in the manga and others that look similar. You know, stores, apartment buildings and certain spots in Tokyo.

πŸŽ” Introduction: It's a greeting/thank you letter from Yazawa Ai.

πŸŽ” Characters relation: Diagram showing the relationship between the main characters of the story.

πŸŽ” Character Profile: Shares some basic information about the main characters such as their age, height and blood type along with some key words that will be part of the next section...

πŸŽ” A to Z of NANA: This is like a dictionary, explaining all the key words we saw before and their connection to the characters or the story.

πŸŽ” Interview to YAZAWA AI: It comes in 3 parts divided throughtout the volume.

πŸŽ” Voices to NANA: These are messages from fans and readers. It also includes an interview with 3 fans.

πŸŽ” NANA's Story: Here we see their story through Hachi's eyes. It's like a short summary of the story until volume 8.

πŸŽ” Rock on Japan: 700 word interview with Trapnest. One of my favorite parts of this volume!

πŸŽ” NANA Carte: This is a very random part that has this type of award show thing for the characters and a personality quiz to see which female character you are most like. (I got Misato, btw. πŸ˜…)

πŸŽ” Misato's Report: Misato's reports are really cute. You can find some throughtout the volume too. She shows both Nanas' rooms and manga covers around the world.

πŸŽ” Character Room: This one has different categories featuring different characters:

    Nana's makeup class.

    Hachi's delicious and popular food

    Yasu's telephone consultation room

    Nobu's I LOVE PUNKS

    Shin's sweet drams

Aiming to be Junko: The path of a good woman

    Sachiko's secrets and popularity (I didn't read this one~)

πŸŽ” Junko's Room Special: a longer version of Junko's room.

πŸŽ” Dear NANA: Guess this one is like the closure? Just a small quote from Hachi to Nana.

I love everything about this volume! I feel like it gave me the feels all over again and the excitement to go back to reading and sharing about the manga around here. Plus, I want to buy the volumes I'm missing. If you're a Nana fan, you should defo get it, even if you don't collect or read the manga.

I want to include this before I wrap it up, I don't really own too many Nana goodies cuz they are hard to find here were I live but, these are some of my precious things, haha. I don't think I've shared them around here before. First is the NANA Best CD, which has to be one of my fav OST ever! It includes music from both, Blast and Trapnest and I could play it over and over again. On the bottom left we have an Osaki Nana keychain I received on my birthday and next to it is a cute Nana & Hachi pin my bestie gave me not long ago. ♡

This post will be a little out of order cuz I got it late, haha. Here are my other Nana manga posts in case you want to check them out. They are long tho, you've been warned.

Manga Reading: Nana Volume 8πŸ“

Manga Reading: Nana Volume 7πŸ“

πŸ›’ Walmart Finds | September / October / November 2024 |

Posting completely unrelated pics to the topic as the cover of these posts is my passion, lol.

I've realized it takes me forever to put these posts together for some reason. Plus, there are also fun and delish things I don't buy at Walmart that I don't share here. I'm thinking about changing these posts to "food / supermarket finds" or something like that. Dunno yet~

Anyway, last Walmart post of the year will be super duper short. Here we go!

I've been buying lots of jelly lately, it is easy to make and D'Gari has released some fun flavors and I'm here for it. I am a big marzipan so this was something I had to try. It is milk based and it's defo worth it if you like marzipan. Sweet, creamy and just... yummy.

Continuing with the jellies, I found this new "neon" line with flavors such as lavender lemonade (this one), lime and bubblegum (I got it but haven't tried it yet). This one was pretty good, it didn't have that perfumey(?) touch I thought it would. I forgot to take a pic  of the actual jelly but the color was just beautiful. Not neon tho.

I don't think these are in stores anymore but I was obsessed with them when they came out. Liked them a lot more than the drink. I won't go into much detail cuz I have a separate post talking about them. You can read it here.

I wish they weren't limited edition~

These Tostitos were also limited edition. They came out last September because of Independence day (I think) and they were just SOOO GOOD! literally tasted like esquites, which have to be one of my favorite things ever. I couldn't enjoy them as much as I wanted but, i'm still glad I tried them. Hopefully they'll be back next year.

And, that will be it for this post. Super random and short but, yeah. I wanted to post it before the year ends.

Starhaus Berry Cardamon Scented Candle πŸ•―️

I've been into candles a lot lately, Idk, there's something magical and cozy about them. Especially now that the weather is getting colder.

My mom gave me this one as a pressie last Halloween. As the name says, it is a  raspberry & cardamom candle. It smells delish, it is sweet, but not super overpowering.

The candle comes in a nice glass container, it is pretty big too, which makes it feel fancier somehow, hehe.
Plus I think the color goes well with my normal decoration so, I can keep it on display all year round. They work as cute decoration pieces too!

This might be the shortest post ever but, I just wanted to share this cnadle with y'all.
See you next time~! ♡

Fall Tag! πŸ‚

Long time no tag! Thing is, I recently saw someone answering this Fall tag and wanted to do it too because, even tho October and spooky season are over, it's still Fall! I'm just not ready to let go of it yet and I won't be on Christmas mode until December hits.

I am kinda late with this tag tho, it includes a couple of Halloween related questions but I'll answer them anyway, based on what I did this year.

Let's continue with the Fall mood and answer this tag! Hehe.

1. What is your favorite fall drink?

Pumpkin spice latte, period! Yeah, I am the most basic Fall girl.

2. What’s one thing you love about fall?

Not only that is the beginning of spooky season but also the seasonal food and drinks, the fashion and just the whole vibe everyewhere. Everything is funnier and better in Fall.

3. What’s one thing you don’t like about fall?

Mmm... some sad things have happened during this season in the past, and even tho I'm trying not to get stuck there, it's difficult not to remember them.

4. Are you a pumpkin spice fan?

Defo! It is one of the things I look forward the most once Fall gets close.

I'll try anything pumpkin spice I find!

5. What’s your favorite fall scented candle?

This year was the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Scented Candle from Bath & Body Works, last year was the Marshmallow Fireside Scented Candle. But I guess it depends on what I find.

6. Where do you buy your fall candles?

Mostly Walmart, most of my fancier candles are usually pressies, hehe.

7. What’s your go-to fall beauty product?

I don't think I have something in particular that I like to use only during this season. I used to wear darker lipsticks but now I think I only choose darker nail polishes but, I guess that'll be it.

8. Your favorite fall accessory?

My Halloween earrings! Hehe. I think it's a very discreet way to add a Halloweeny touch to your outfits. Also, my Michael Kors handbag, it's not the most comfortable but, it's my fav bag this season.

9. What’s your typical fall outfit look like?

Well, it depends on the weather, it's very unpredictable here where I live. During October I like to wear my Halloween tees and other seasonal clothes & accessories. But I also like to wear longer skirts, boots, tights, etc. I tend to go for darker and earthy colors too. Dunno, just outfits I think are fun and cozy.

10. Apple pie or pumpkin pie?

Pumpkin pie!

11. What’s your favorite Halloween/scary movie?

When it comes to Halloween movies, I like the spooky but fun ones that I used to watch growing up like Beetlejuice, The Witches, The Addams Family, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc. As for horror: Shutter (Thai version), The Ring, The Others and The Omen. At least those are the ones that come to my mind rn.

12. Do you have a fall tradition?

Well, most of my Fall traditions are more like Halloween traditions. With my friends, we try to have a pumpkin carving night every year or make a small craft and try lots of seasonal or themed foods and drinks. Mom and I always go to starbucks as soon as the Fall drinks are available and I usually exchange pressies with friends and Family. Visiting the AlfeΓ±ique fair is also something I used to do with my grandpa, then with my dad and now I do it with my friends evey year. We also have some gatherings throughout the month to celebrate Halloween season.

And last year I started putting an altar on the Day of the Dead. I start on October 27th with a small one for my furry babies and then make it a little bigger on November 01st for the family. I'm no expert tho, there's still a lot I have to include.

As you can see, I take Fall and Halloween very seriously, hehe.

13. What’s your favorite fall food?

The first thing I thought about was: Pan de muerto. I just love it. I'm sure there are many good Fall foods I'm ignoring right now but, oh well~

14. What are your plans for Halloween?

Since Halloween was on a Thursday, I spent most of my day working. At night we had a family Halloween dinner with themed food, drinks, candle lights and relaxing music. It was a very nice and relaxing way to close the season.

15. Do you plan on dressing up for Halloween?

I loooove dressing up for Halloween but for some reason, I didn't do it this year! I wore lots of Halloween tees on Halloween week but, that was it!

16. What’s one thing your thankful for?

This might sound cheesy but, I'm thankful for the people around me. I feel that my relationships with some people have imrpoved a lot this year and that makes me happy. I'm constantly saying this but, I have the best people around me.

17. Halloween or Thanksgiving?

Halloween always and forever.

18. Favorite Thanksgiving food?

I don't really celebrate Thanksgiving so, I don't really have one.

19. Have you ever participated in Friendsgiving?

Nope, but now I want to. I'll try to plan it for next year, I think it's be too late to start planning it now~

20. Have you already taken fall photos?

Of course!

And that was the last question. I love answering these things haha. Feel free to answer them too, I'd love to read!

Halloween Pressies 2024 πŸ§›πŸ»‍♀️

October went by too fast but I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. I felt like I did many small Halloween things throughout the month with family and friends and closed it with a Halloween dinner on the actual date, that made me feel like I felt years ago when we would go out trying to drink as many seasonal drinks and go to different events every weekend in October. Things have changed a little but, it was still as fun. I can say I finally saw everything in a much more positive way after having a couple of difficult Autumns.

To wrap it up, I'll share with you the pressies I received this year. It felt like Christmas! Well, maybe even a little better, hehe.

I'll start with the one from my sister because it was the first one I received. It came in 2 parts, one in a classic Jack-o'-lantern and the rest in the black box under it. The pic is not the best cuz I took it before opening everything, I just couldn't wait but, you can get an idea of how everything looked like when I got it.

First, we have the Jack-o'-lantern bucket, with this cool bats orange paper and the big, furry spider. The spider found it's place in my decor right away and I love it!

In the bucket, she also included this wooden signs that are absolutely adorable! They came with some stands to display them. I kinda want to leave the Haunted House one all year, hehe.

And then we have some Beetlejuice goodies! I am obsessed you guys. This year Halloween was all about 90s nostalgia! I got a Beetlejuice plushie, a keychain and 2 pins.

I'm still not over this napkins. They are so vintage! I don't even want to used them ever!

How magical is this witchy candle? it has dry flowers, small pumpkins and a jack-o'-lantern charm you can keep after burning the candle. It smells like Jolly Ranchers haha, and it is defo something I'm gonna keep out all year round.

Lastly we have an amulet my sister made and fall socks! 🧑

Next we have the boo basket I recieved in the exchange with my friends, along with extra pressies from my other friend. We decided to include Halloween or seasonal candy in the basket and set a budget for it.

The "basket" was a green skull bowl, perfect for snacks filled with different types of cande. I started eating the candy before taking this pic so, not eveything was included.

My basket also had this bag full of candy. I received one last year too and I love them because they feel like the Christmas stocking Tutsi pop have every year but, in a Halloween version.

This were gifts my other friend gave me. She said she had to cuz she knows how much I love this season. I am obsessed with the spook-o-rama Milka chocolate. The presentation is way too cool! I also received a seasonal Paleta Payaso and a Jack-o'-lantern soap. The skeleton cat plate was sent by her sister.

Closer look at the Jack-o'-lantern soap so you can see how cute it is. It smells good too!
I believed it was made by one of her students. She also sent my mom and sister soaps with other seasonal designs.
You can find more product here. They are handmade.

And well, since my friend is good with crafts, she made my name with halloween shapes! I love it and I'm also keeping this as an all year round thing.

On that same day we met other friends later and one of them gave us this cute Jack'-o-lantern plastic cups with some candy and some climbing plant seeds.

And lastly, Mom gave me this huge scented candle that, even tho it is not Halloween, there is something magical about candles. It is a berry - cardmon candle that smells delish! Plus it goes perfectly well with the colors I have in my house. It's my first time having a candle this big! I feel fancy, hehe. It also came with a chocolate pastry but, it didn't make it to the photo, hehe.

Of course I also made some Boo Baskets this year. The first 2 were for my family and the 3rd one for the exchange I had with my friends. I love making this things and I'm sure next year I'll try to make more for other friends too. I really put lots of love and effort in them. ⭐

It's sad that Halloween month is over but, it's still Autumn so, I'll continue enjoying my fav season with spooky stuff until Christmas is everywhere, hehe. Hope you had a wonderful October and a very fun Halloween!
