Buffy The Vampire Slayer Tarot Cards

I don't think I've mentioned this around here but, I've always wanted to learn how to read tarot cards, I just love those things. Last month, my sister gave me the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tarot Card mini deck as part of my Halloween pressies. 

If you know me, you know I love BTVS, I've been a big fan for years. Growing up, my sister, my cousins and I would obsess over the show and the characters, play pretending to be the characters and knew the songs and dialogues by heart. I think I have other posts talking a little bit more about it. I love everything witchy, so having this deck is just perfect. Plus it was my sign to finally start learning more about tarot.

This tarot deck was released back in 2023 as a part of the 25th anniversary of the show, it comes with 78 different cards with exclusive art by Karl James Mountford. All of these cards represent the normal tarot cards (major and minor arcana) but with some of the main characters and moments from the show. 

It also comes with a guide book written by Casey Gilly that introduces you to the book (this intro is super fun to read if you're a Buffy fan btw), the cards and explains the meaning of each of them. .

Since I'm still learning how to read them and stuff, I'm just gonna talk about the cards, the art and show you some of my favorite ones. Everything about it is really pretty, from the colors on the box, the picture of Buffy on it, to the illustrations on the cards. Plus I love the fact that the characters kinda match with their card. Going through them brings back memories from some episodes throughout the seasons too, so nostalgic!!

So, let's check some of my favorite cards (because of the art, not cuz of the meanings)~

I could show you all the cards cuz, they are all worth sharing but, this would become a suuuuuper long post. I'm not sharing them but other important characters have their cards too. 

This is a bit of a random post but I really, really wanted to share this deck in here, is too pretty not to. Anyway, let me know if you'd like me to share a little more about this once I learn how to properly read them or if you'd like to see the other cards, I could make a separate post to show you all the cards.

Fangirl Chit Chat: My James Marsters Signed Pic ❤

If you know me, you know I am a big fangirl, and when I'm obsessed with something, I do it hard. 

I've shared it around here before, when I was younger, I was a big Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, it was one of my favorite shows and I still love it to this day. I rewatch it and obsess over it and over again. 

And of course I had a big crush on Spike (aka James Marsters), the sexiest vamp ever. He'd be my ideal man (I know he was a little toxic but, he changed~). And that crush never died, I think he's one of those crushes that just stay in my life. I love James, his acting, his laugh, his music; I could listen to him talk for hours!

Back in June, I was watching a livestream on his IG in which he was signing photos with personalized messages and, I discovered I could get one too. And after thinking about it for a little while watching the livestream, I decided to go for it and get one for myself.

This thing is not new tho, it has been going on for a while on Streamily, same as with Cameo (which I was also tempted to get this year and I might do it next year, hehe), it just took me forever to find out, haha. Honestly I never spend money on something like this but I know this is the closest I'll ever be to James so a part of me is convinced it was worth it. 

I placed my order back in late June, everything was online and super easy. I chose the pic I wanted and you could even choose what you wanted him to write on it, I left it open to whatever he wanted really. You could add a frame to come with it and even a certificate thingy. I didn't get any of those because well, it wasn't exactly cheap. All I really wanted was his pic, his message and the idea of knowing I existed in his life at the moment of signing it. LOL. I think there's also the option to have your pic signed during conventions or other live streams but, that'd take even longer.

Even tho they kept me updated and James signed it like a week after placing my order, it took forever to ship and arrive. I was starting to get super impatient but in October 10th it finally arrived. I had some issues with the shipping company here in my country (and that's a whole different story 🙄) but, I finally got my baby. ❤ I didn't like the waiting but it was kinda cool it arrived on my favorite month.

What can I say? It is perfect! I am absolutely obsessed, especially becuse it has "Mon" on it, written by him. He wrote one of my favorite Spike quotes and... I just love everything about it. I will have it on display in my house forever and ever.

And well, this is a bit of a random, story time post but, the fangirl in me just had to share this in here. I'm obsessed, I die, no regrets. Hehe.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Haul

A couple of months ago I told you guys I started re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and shared a very old haul. I'm currently rewatching season 6, which has to be my favorite season ever so, yeah. I'm living my Slayer era all over again. (That's my way of saying I'm beyond obsessed rn, haha).

In this haul I'm going to show you 2 things I received as pressies and some others I got from Temu. I'll start with the pressies because they arrived first, hehe.

I'm sharing this one first because, I love it way too much!

Back in March, my sister gave me this Spike blanket that has to be one of the best gifts ever for an obsessed person like me. It has a great size, it's soft and, it's got Spike on it. It's perfect! I don't sleep with it tho, I like to keep it in the living room and use it whenever I'm watching TV or to cover my legs when I'm working. I've been trying to keep it away from my cats cuz I don't want them to ruin it.
I know it's a really bad pic but, I didn't know how to show you the whole blanket and take a nice pic of it at the same time.

This next one was also something my sister gave me. It's a Buffy & Spike drawing we really liked (honestly, I don't know who the artist is) so she printed and framed it for me. I love all the details in it, the pictures on the fridge behind them, the fact that she's drinking coffee and he's drinking blood, the stakes and jacket on the table... everything! 

I love this picture so much that I also have it as the wallpaper on my phone but it's way better to have it physically in my room. You know, I love #Spuffy forever.

The next things I'm gonna show you are all from Temu, I know they are not official but, I love them and I found them for a very good price. 

Of course we have more Spike! I found this type of metal sign thingy and I had to get it. I'm not sure if I'm gonna use it to decorate my room or my office. The size is pretty decent: 30.48 x 20.32cm and even tho it is not super thick, it doesn't feel weak or cheap.

Another thing I ordered was this purple cushion cover. I liked it because even tho is from the show, it is not super obvious. Originally I wanted it for my living room but, since I'm trying to give more love to my room, I might have it on my bed... idk yet. It was actually bigger than expected, 45 x 45cm, which is not bad at all but, I clearly didn't read any of the information given. The fabric is soft, it has the print on both sides and I love the fact that is I can just throw it in the washing machine whenever I need to wash it.

Last thing I got from Temu is this enamel from BTVS season 5 episode "Hush". This episode is really good and actually creepy and the pin is a nice thing to remember it. Haha. Plus, I'm kinda starting a pin collection and I had to add a Buffy one.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Old Haul + Chit Chat 🧛

Super unrelated picture of me rocking my dark circles era 😅

Back in January I started rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer thanks to my sister. It was one of our favorite shows growing up and we shared the love with my cousins. We’d even play to BTVS, try to dress like the characters and knew the Once More With Feeling songs by heart. Of course I've watched the 1992 movie with Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry, I liked it but I fell in love with the whole thing when I started watching the show.

And of course, Spike has been a big crush of mine for the longest time now, I know, I know, he was very toxic but, he's was a vamp, most of them are like that. Right? Plus he had a loving, caring side too. I just think James Marsters is one of the sexiest men ever, even if he is old enough to be my dad, hehe.

I just can't. ❤️‍🔥

Once the revival thing was confirmed, many people started sending me the links to the announcement and I even shared the excitement with one of my cousins. I’m kinda looking forward to see what they do with it but, I’m specially excited about seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar back as Buffy. She’s defo one of my fav characters ever.

To continue with my excitement, I thought I could share an old haul around here. A mini haul of BTVS old goodies I still keep and add 1 item I recently got.

I'll start with the oldies cuz there's something super nostalgic about them and I love them so, so much. It was veeeeery difficult to find Buffy goodies back then, at least where I live. And I guess if there was something, it was probably expensive. I'm glad I kept what I had.

The first thing I'm gonna show you is my BTVS magazine. It is from 2003. OMG. I didn't know these existed until I went to Canada and saw them. I believe it was a monthly magazine but I only got one. I didn't read it back then, or at least I don't remember doing it, I was just focusing on the photos. I did read it at some point. The magazine shared news, interviews with cast members, merch and some behind the scenes stuff.

Next is something I also bought in Canada. It is my BTVS Mini Lunch Box Tin with bubble gum. The bubble gum was super cute because they were mini stakes, can't remember the flavor though. I remember my cousin was helping me to find them in a better price cuz they were expensive. I regret not getting the Spike + Buffy one but, I'm happy with the one I have.

                              

Lastly we have the BTVS Once More With Feeling Official Soundtrack which incliudes all the songs from the musical episode with the same name. My sister & I would watch this episode over and over again until we learned all the songs and dialogues and, at some point, my dad bought us the CD. Then, that was the one on replay. So I guess this wasn't only my CD but I kept it so, yeah. I still know all the lyrics to the songs, it has to be one of my favorite musicals ever.

I used to have a couple of comics too but I really don't know what happened to them, I only have 2 posters that came there. I'm including them here too. 

Now we'll move on to my newest addition.

I am team spuffy forever, that's why I knew I had to get this cap as soon as I saw it. It's perfect! I found it on Temu. Quality wise, it's ok. I wish it was embroidered instead of printed but, oh well. It still looks cute. I got a black one for my sister too because, she's also a Buffy + Spike fan. 

That's all I have for now but, I've been checking some stuff online so, I might make another Buffy haul in the future.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Inspired Makeup

Hello vamps!

So, not long ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer celebrated its 20th anniversary. I don't think you guys know but I was (and still am) a big fan of the show so I was very, very excited to see the cast reunited for an Entertainment Weekly photoshoot. They all look great! (Spike OMG! ♥)
Growing up I tried to copy many of her looks with no big success~ So since my obsession with Buffy is coming back I decided to try her makeup from season 6. Which was also one of my favorites.
And even tho I think I look more like Tara, I liked the result. It is nice for an everyday look.

I mixed these two because I didn't have the perfecr shade. My lippies were too light or too dark for this color.
