Ocean Bomb: Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune

I'm super excited to share these with you, not only because I've been wanting to try the Sailor Moon sparkling waters for a while but, also because the first ones I got to try were Uranus and Neptune's.

I think I've mentioned this before but, they are one of my favorite couples ever. Neptune is the kind of woman I wish I was and Uranus is just... one of my top waifus and woman crush.

These sparkling waters are called Ocean Bomb, they are from a Taiwan soda company called YHB. Uranus and Neptune were their fourth release, I believe they started releasing them 2 years ago and, they have sodas for all the inner and outer scouts now.

I've seen them before but sometimes they are a little bit expensive for what they are, still I want to collect them all. Earlier  this month I went to a small anime expo thingy with my friends and we saw them. My best friend and I got them (one each) so we could try them and, he let me keep the can to start my collection.

The art on the cans is from Sailor Moon Crystal, they are beautiful! Each of them has the Sailor Scout pic with a nice frame around them and their symbols on the front and their talisman on the back.

I have to say, even tho I've seen reviews on these products before, I kinda was expecting them to be sweeter, more like a soda. I always forget that sparkling water isn't as sweet as a normal soda. The smell of them is really nice, sweet and strong but, the flavor isn't. Anyway, let me show you the beautiful cans.

Let's start with my love, Uranus.

Uranus' sparkling water is pineapple flavor. Her can is a light blue one with some dark blue and yellow details. On the back we can see her Space Sword. I'd say that, out of the two, I liked this one a little more.

Moving on to Neptune's~

Neptune's is kiwi flavor, the can is a turquoise one, also with yellow and dark blue details. I love it. On the back we have the Deep Aqua Mirror.

My goal is to collect all of the but these two, along with Moon's are the ones I wanted first. Plus I'm glad I got them together! Hehe. They are just too precious.

All in all, these sparkling waters are nothing too special but, they are good. I don't think I'd buy these two again because my main purpose is to have all the cans. Hopefully I'll be sharing the others in the future too.

Have you tried these sparkling waters? Apparently, there are other collabs too, including Pokemon and One Piece.

🍷 Gato Negro Rosé Limited Edition

“Uh-oh, out of alcohol. Better call wine-one-one.”

I've been trying and drinking different things lately but I forget to share them around here most of the time. A while ago, when I tried the Gato Negro Cavernet Sauvignon, I said I wanted to try their rose wine too. It took me forever but, I finally did it.

I'll mention the presentation first because... it is just too pretty! The Gato Negro bottles are usually pretty but, every now and then, they have special limited edition designs that I really like. This one has pink, gold and black details. Very different from the other I tried but, still really cute. I love the cat paw path and its pale pink color. It's puurrrrrfect!

Friendly reminder: I'm no wine expert, in fact, I don't know much about them. I'm just a happy drinker so, most of the information I'll share about the wine comes from the internet, hehe. With that being said, let's continue.

It is a Chilean wine described as: "aromatically complex, of noble personality and with pleasant freshness that does not tire the palate"

It's made with rosé grapes which have a sweet aroma and delicious flavor, it also has cranberry notes. It goes well with salmon, quiches and spicy foods but, I'd say you can just drink it with whatever you want, just like I do, hehe. And, it's better if you drink it cold.

It contains 12% alcohol, it's not as sweet as other rose wines I've tried, you can defo taste the cranberry. It's not bad tho, just not what I expected.

I think this is it for this wine post, let me know what kind of wine is your fav?

    I'll see you next time~ ♡

    Cheers ♡

Kook Soon Dang Banana Makgeolli 🍌

Even tho I love kdrama, I'm not that familiar with korean food and drinks other than snacks and soju but, I've alway been curious about makgeolli. Not long ago I went to a small Asian Market (mostly focused on Korean food) that also happened to have a Korean restaurant and I finally got the chance to try makgeolli.
Makgeolli is another type of rice wine, it contains 80% water and 4–8% alcohol, it's unfiltered and has high levels of lactobacillus bacteria, which makes it a nutricious drink.

This sparkling wine has a slight milky color and a chalky texture to it. To me it's like a mix of Yakult or calpis and alcohol, hehe.

I knew there was a natural makgeolli but we found that they also have flavored makgeolli too. The ones I saw were banana, peach and grape.
I only tried peach and babana, they were both fresh, slightly sweet and really easy to drink.

Surpisingly, my favorite out of those 2 was banana. I don't like babanas but I love the artificial banana flavor and that is how this one tastes like. Like an alcohol version of the korean banana milk with less sugar and a little bitter. I still wanna try the natural and grape ones too.

The price difference between the can and the bottle wasn't much so, I decided to get the bottle.

The bottle comes with 750ml and, in my opinion, it wasn't expensive at all. It comes in a platic bottle with a very simple yet nice presentation. Nothing too fancy. This one has 4% alcohol, like I said, it's very easy to drink.
You're supposed to drink it cold, I don't think it'd taste that great at room temperature tho and you gotta shake it a little before drinking because it has chalky sediments.

I feel like this drink might not be for everyone but it's definitely an experience, too many textures and flavors in one (if that makes any sense). I really, liked it and I'd say you should try it at least once if you have the chance.

Joe Knows Coffee Pumpkin Spice Ground Coffee 🎃

Earlier this month I mentioned this coffee in a pressies haul post but didn't go into much detail. Today I wanna talk a little more about it.

I usually mention this but, I'll do it again anyway. I am no coffee expert so the info and deets here will be mostly from the internet and the package. Plus of course, my opinion.

With that being said, let's do this. We all know I am a pumpkin spice lover so, it was very exciting to receive this coffee. It is my first time trying Joe Knows Coffee and I gotta say I really liked it! It defo tastes like pumpkin spice and also smells delish!

It is described as a dark rich roast with a smooth finish. It is not super strong but you can always add more coffee than suggested. I don't really have it as my morning coffee, it's more something to drink on a chilly afternoon.

It is artifically flavored, Kosher Certified, vacuum sealed and it's roasted using only 100% Arabica coffee beans.

I haven't tried it without sugar cuz I like my drinks to be sweet but I'm sure it's good without sugar and even with some milk.

🍷 Gato Negro - Cavernet Sauvignon Limited Edition

"Wine a little and you'll feel better"

Here comes another wine post! It's funny cuz I only wanted to get this wine because of the name and the bottle, you know... crazy cat lady.

Gato Negro Cavernet Sauvignon is a Chilean red wine that has notes of strawberry, chocolate and a hint of vanilla, according to its information. It's very fresh and they say it goes well with red meat and cheese.

Like I mentioned in my previous wine post, I tend to ignore this and just have it with whatever I crave at that moment.

I got an special edition bottle because it was too pretty! It has all these colorful flower details that other bottles don't have.

It contains 13% alcohol and even tho it wasn't exactly sweet, it was nice and easy to drink.

This wine is surprisingly cheap! And when I got it they had a 2x1 kind of thing so I had the chance to have it as it is, at room temperature and also with soda. Yup, with soda. Mom and I mixed it with Yoli, a lemon soda she really likes, to make an easy-homemade sangria type of thing. It wans't bad! It was actually pretty refreshing. I just thought it needed more wine cuz we only used 1 bottle.

I've mostly seen red wine but, looking online I saw they also have Rose wine. I defo want to try that one next.

    Loraine 花見 🌸

Last year when we first visited Café Loraine we heard they were having a Hanami event and even tho we really wanted to go, we couldn't because of work and well, the pandemic was a lot worse than how it is now.

Earlier this month, some of my friends wanted to have our own Hanami to celebrate the beginning of the Spring season. We didn't really see many flowers and as some of you might know, "Hanami" means Flower viewing so, I guess it was more like a Spring picnic. It was still fun tho.

Loraine's Hanami is an indoors picnic under a fake Sakura tree. We don't have real Sakura in my country so, is the closest we can get, hehe.

You have to make a reservation because they only allow 2 groups of 6 people max. And it's only on Thursdays. I believe they'll have it until April. I'm not sure tho.

They prepared this big tablecloth thingy with lots of pillows under the tree. Everything in pink and blue. This café is very pink, I love it.

We paid $343.00 for the whole thing that included: Maki, Pink Lemonade, Taro or pink Latte, a kiré, pink Hershey's, a plushie and socks because we couldn't stand on the tablecloth with our shoes. They also gave us a free milkshake coupon.

Our food came in cute baskets. And even tho the maki was a bit soggy for me, it was pink and blue, which made it super cute.

The Kiré was delish! I believe it was strawberry with blueberries and some flower petals. I just loved it. My taro latte was pretty good too.

Even tho we got different drinks, they were all pretty and decorated.

I think the bunny was the cutest

I think all in all, it was a great experience, defo worth it. I feel like they take care of the little things and I appreciate that. The staff is always super nice and the place is perfect for pictures!

    Random photo dump 🌸:

We forgot to take a plushie group pic but we all got penguins. This is mine, Pen-Pen.

    🌸

    Can you see Pen-Pen?

Café Loraine has other seasonal events too. Hopefully we'll be able to go more often this year.

    Lipton Sakura Tea 🌸

Spring is pretty much here  and that means it's Sakura season in Japan. As a sakura and Japan lover, it was exciting to find this tea.

I believe it was last year when I saw people sharing this Lipton Sakura tea on Youtube during Spring in Japan and I was very curious to try it but I couldn't find it anywhere. A couple of weeks ago, when I went to a mini expo thingy wiyh my friends, I found it in a stall that had many cool imported things from Japan and, I had to get it.

I have to mention the presentation cuz it's really cute! The tea comes in a resealable pink bag with sakura flowers.

The package comes with 12 pyramyd shaped bags and smells very floral once you open it.

I don't know why I thought the tea would have a bright red color but it is more like a brownish red. Also the smell changes completely once you prepare it.

In my mind the taste would be as floral as it smells but, I was very surprised when I tried it, it does taste like cherries. To me, it tastes like a tutsi pop, haha. Maybe it's not the best way to describe it but it is a very unique flavor.

Usually, I like my drinks to be sweet but, I've tried it with and without sugar. Just to taste both options. And I have to say both are pretty good.

And since the weather is becoming a little warmer, I had it cold too!

Even tho this tea isn't easy to find over here, I think the price was pretty decent compared to other tea I've seen.

I'll defo buy more if I see it again, it is really is worth trying.
