Mom's Favorites 2020 | Beauty & Makeup |

Today is my mom's birthday so I thought it'd be the perfect time to share this post we had in mind for a couple of months now. We have many things in common, she's the one to blame for my big love for coffee but, we like different things when it comes to makeup.
Here you'll find some of her favorite beauty and makeup products, some of them are different from what I usually share so, I hope you enjoy!

Let's get to it!

There are so many products that are my favorites and I'm going to share them with you today.
Let's start with...

♥ Beauty

Even tho I can go for a fucsia lipstick every now and then, red is my favorite when it comes to lipsticks.

I love lipsticks from Essence and Makeup Revolution, brands I discovered in Spain in my favorite perfumery, Druni.

Essence Matt Matt Matt #06 "Kiss me if you can"
Essence Ultra Last Instant colour #11 "Cherry Sweet"
This one from Sephora is one of my favorite red lipsticks. It is creamy and it is very long lasting. This shade is the "It" shade of red for me and it is very affordable.

Sephora #Lipstories "A little magic"
And these are from Miniso, they are Korean and they last throughout the whole day. They are creamy and very hydrating.

Miniso Korean Style Creamy Lipsticks
01 "Rosy Red" and 03 "Mermaid Pink"

Bourjois is a French brand I also discovered in Spain. Their pressed powder and foundation are amazing!

#53 "Golden Beige"

"123 perfect" with SPF10 and 24h hydration

I really like MAC blushes. One was a gift from my daughter and I bought the other one.

Left: Margin (which broke)
Right: Format
We also have this one from Physicians Fromula which is a lot softer and delicate.

Physicians Fromula Multi Colored Light Bronzer

Another brand I really like is Astor. It is a German brand by Heidi Klum, their lipsticks and blushes are super!

Nails

Essence Nail polishes are wonderful, and their colors are always in season.

Skincare

I don't buy facemasks but my daughter has given me some from Tonyoly and they are spectacular! I love it when she gives them to me.

Korean Sheet masks from TonyMoly and Celavi

Moving on to creams, I love these ones that my daughter brought from Canada. I hate to have dry hands. These creams not only help me to have soft, hydrated hands for a long time, but they also have a nice scent that lasts for a long time.

Lastly we have, lipbalm. This is the one I'm currently using, it was a gift from Michee.
Love it!

Perfume

I love perfumes! Especially herbal and citrus fragrances with a hint of florals. No sweet scents.
These two have a foral scent, different to the ones I usually go for but I love them.

Narciso Rodriguez "Narciso"
Gucci "Bloom"

There you go, we both hope you really enjoyed this post, let us know if you' like to read more posts like this.

Happy birthday to my mommy

💖 June Favorites 2020 | Quarantine edition |

Hi there!

Long time no favorites! With this whole lock down thing I didn't have much to share as favorites for a couple of months because I barely wear makeup these days and my skincare hasn't really changed, I don't go out or try many new things.
But, this month there are a couple of things I do want to share with you guys.

Ready? Here we go!

💗 Yummies

Eating and drinking are things that I can't stop doing since the quarantine started. And as you know, my coffee is one of the things I enjoy the most, that's why we have these 2 Coffee Mate coffee creams here.

The first one is the Pumpkin Spice Coffee Mate. I am pumpkin spice obsessed and I've been dying to try this particular one for a while now but sadly, I can't find it where I live. I was so happy when I finally got the chance to try it. It was defo worth it!

The second one is supposed to be a limited edition choco-latte cream. I first tried it last year. I believe it was around November/December. Not sure. Then I stopped seeing it and it was recently back on stores. I love everything chocolte and this one is worth trying!

💗 TV

Crashlanding on you
. I mentioned this kdrama before but now that I'm done with it, I can say I loved it. It really reminds me of a Korean version of FMP. It gave me the feels. Especially because I do believe that people who are meant to be together will find the way to do it, no matter what. It's a short drama with only 16 episodes and the story moves on pretty fast. I highly recommend it. The OST is also really good.

This man is everything! #NewCrush

💗 Beauty

I have a post dedicated to the Essential Burt's Bees Kit and I think the products are defo worth trying but today I want to focus on the one I liked the most. That is the Beewax Lipbalm with Vitamin C and Peppermint. Afer trying it, it became a must have for me and my forever chapped lips. I'm curious to try the tinted ones now. Hehe.

💗 Accessories

At first I didn't think about sharing them but, they are my most worn "accessory" atm. Me being me, I wanted to find some cute masks with nice colors and designs. I've been biuying my maks at JOI, which is a Canadian dollar store. Each package comes with 2 for a very good price. These masks are made of cotton and have 2 layers(?) of fabric. They are more comfortable than others I've tried and it's easy to wash them as soon as I get home, they dry super fast too.
They have a large variety of colors and designs. Some friends and family are using them now too.

💗 Music

I don't listen to many groups in Spanish but I've been following these guys since they started their career when we were all teenagers. Kudai's new album Laberinto has been on replay since it was released back in March. This album has 11 tracks and all of them are really good.

And there you have it, my quarantine favorites, haha. I don't know when I'll do another favorites post but, I do have some things to share next month. Also, let me know if there's something you'd like me to try, share or blog about.

Until next time~ ♡

💖 March Favorites 2020 | Makeup, Netflix and of course... yummies! |

Hello my darlings!

Spring is here and the weather has been so nice lately... too bad we can't go out and enjoy it~
But, I've been having more time to write posts I couldn't finish before so, it's not all bad.
Anyway, let's get to my monthly favorites cuz that's what we're here for today.

💗 Makeup

My Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eyeshadow Palette by ColourPop has to be my most beautiful palette so far. Quality wise it's pretty good too. I won't go into much detail in here cuz I have a separate post dedicated to them. Even tho I haven't used them as much as I'd like they had to be a part of this month's favs.

💗 Yummies

Morimoto lemon-cola and lychee gummies are one of my favorite gummies at the moment. Most of the gummies I've tried from this brand are absolutely yummy but this ones in particular have 2 of my favorite flavors. I found them in Walmart and I've been trying to buy them every time I go because... I eat the whole bag in like 2 days~ hehe.

Santa Clara Edición Algodón Fantasía milk. I love Santa clara milk and yogurt and I have to admit that I really liked this new flavor they just released. It is cotton candy and blue berries! I'm not sure if others like it or not cuz I like weird flavors but yeah, it's defo a favorite. Also, the packaging is way too cute!

💗 TV

Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories season 2. I think I mentioned this show before in another post. But it came out with a new season not long ago and it's as good as the first one. Plus, it's about food. Japanese food. Get ready to be hungry after each episode.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part 3. It took me forever to finish this season because of how busy life got but I finally did. And even tho I liked the other 2 parts a bit more, it's still one of my favorite shows.

You can find these shows on Netflix.

And those are my March favorites. Feel free to share some of your favs with me!
Until next time! ♡

💖 February Favorites 2020 | Beauty, YouTube & Evangelion! |

It is that time of the month again, time to share with you some of my favorites of the month. Which honestly, aren't many.

💗 Beauty

Natura Estonica Bio Rejuvenating Face Peeling.

My mom got this peeling mask in Spain and I've been using it for a couple of months now. It is a very gentle peeling that makes you skin look and feel soft and fresh after using it.
I don't know much about the brand but, from what it says it is made in the US and their products "are formulated using plants filled with energy and strenght, containing the necessary vitamins and micronutrients to neurish and revitalize skin"

This particular product is infused with Organic gingseng, acai and neroli oil. It also contains hyaluronic acid, aha acids and vitamin C.
I only use it twice a week when I remember and you're supposed to leave it on for about 7 minutes and then rinse.
It stings a little if you leave it on for longer than that.

Terssura hydrating cream.

This is one of those products that you'd never pay attention to unless someone else recommends you to use it. My auntie gave me this body cream because she just loves how much it hydrates her skin. She uses it for her hands mostly. It is for dry skin and it contains pure glycerin and apparently it is one of those old creams that grandmas used to have.
It is super thick and it has a sublte scent that I'm not sure how to describe. Once it absorbs it leaves a soft layer on your skin but it doesn't feel thick anymore.

Mom and I have been loving it and even using it as a night cream during winter nights.
Another cool thing, it is super, duper cheap.

💗 YouTube

Most people already know how much I love Japan vlogs, and some friends already told me about this channel before but I didn't get to watch it until lately and I've been obsessed!
Nekojitablog (aka as Japon con Jamón) y the funniest way to learn more about Japan and the life of a Japanese woman married to a Spanish man. It has a bit of everything: food, culture, vlogs, information and fun facts about my favorite country ever.

And a random favorite that just came back into my life is Neon Genesis Evangelion. I just had a mini movie marathon with my friends last weekend and I'm obsessed all over again... hehe

That's it for now, I'll see you next time~ ♡

💖 January Favorites 2020 | Snacks, shows and... Spider-man! |

Hey there sweets!
I really had so many things I wanted to blog about in January and I just couldn't. Life happened and it kept me busy. But I gotta say that even tho I'm exhausted all the time, it's been a great month and I've been enjoying it.
Anyway, there's still time to share them this month. I also feel like I should do a life update considering some things have changed since my last one.

Alrighties, let's get to my favorites of the month, which surprisingly, are not makeup related because I wanna save those for other posts.

💗 Yummies

Cuz of course, I have to include some of them~

I am someone who looooooves midnight snacks, and these Forrelli Snack Crackers have been my favorites for a couple of months now. They have 3 different flavors: Salty, cheddar and sour cream & onion. I'm obsessed with the last ones.
I already finished these ones but I kept the jar to share with you. I have to go buy more asap! I'm not sure if you can find them in different stores, I get mine in a Canadian dollar store.

Tao Kae Noi crispy seaweed snacks. These are Thai snacks that are basically nori covered in this shrimp flavor kind of thing. They are just delicious. I believe there is a spicy version too that I haven't treid yet.
I've been buying them non stop since I found them back in November.

💗 Shows & movies

I wanted to share some of these shows since December but I skipped Dec. favs so, here they are:

LORE. Is an Amercan horror TV show based on a podcast with the same name. It kinda reminds me of Haunted (Netflix) in a way. Difference is, Haunted talks about real paranormal experiences and testimonies, and Lore is more about leyends and... theories. I think. There are two seasons now and even tho not all of the episodes were my favorites, most of them are pretty good.

And since I already mentioned Haunted, it has a new season now with 6 episodes I believe, defo worth checking out.

Also from Netflix is Mindhunter. I heard a lot about this show but never got into it until now. I just finished season one and if you're a true crime fan like I am, you'll enjoy it. Season 2 is already available and I am ready to start watching!

💗 Car goodies

I don't usually share car related stuff in here but I really love this one and I feel like I have to share. This Spider-man car air freshener is part of a huge collaboration Miniso has with Marvel. I love it because 1: it is spidey, 2: it matches my car perfectly, 3: it smells like coffee and... it is the cutest.
I have other things from this collab that I'll show you in a future post.

So that is that, guys. Mostly shows in this month's favs. Hehe. Make sure to let me know if you decide to watch one of them or if you like them.

See you next time~!! ♡

❅ Winter Favorites | The Holiday Style Tag with mom |

Hello loves! Today I have another tag that is supposed to be a Christmas tag but I see it more like a Winter one. This one is the Holiday Style tag and I thought it'd be fun to do it with my mom. It also works as a favorites post because well... I skipped the December favs so, yeah.

(Mom's answers will be red and mine, pink. I actually recorded our conversation to write it down in here so we could have more chatty answers)

Let's start!

☆ Favorite winter nail polish.
Well, I like like red because it looks like Christmas and I love the different shades of red. Christmas red!
Aha, Chrismtas red!
Maybe red nails with one in silver. Using the one you have from Essence. (101 Crashed the party?!)
Same. Red and silver or red and gold. I love sparkly nails during this time of the year. But lately I've been loving the "Pots of tea" shade from Morgan Taylor. I think it looks like winter!

Left to right: Morgan Taylor "Potts of tea", Revlon 552 "Rubis folies", Essence 111 "Rainbow with sprinkles"
On top: Kim Taylor 32 "Carnival", Essence 101 "Chrashed the party!?"

☆ Favorite winter lip product.
I've never used lipbalm before, this year was my first time and I really liked the one you gave me. Especially after I got sick, my lips got very dry. I also like (red) lipsticks with a matte finish and mosturizer.

Left: Sephora #Lipstories "A little magic"
Right: Miniso Korean Style creamy lipstick 01 "Rosy red"
In my case I am a huge lipbalm fan because my lips are always super dry so, it is a most during winter. Other than that I don't think I have a specific lip product for winter. Other than wearing (slightly) darker colors.

TonyMoly Bbo Bbo lipbalm, HudaBeauty DemiMatte liquid lipstick and Elf matte lip color "wine"

☆ Most worn winter clothing piece.
My black coat from Spain and a winter vest I recently got from Canada. I wasn't really into vests but this one is becoming my favorite.
I'd say coats are my most used every year along with tights to keep my legs warm when I wear my short skirts.

☆ Most worn winter accessory.
Ah! Foulards, colorful knitted beanies that I started wearing recenlty and berets. I love them.

Mmm... high socks, foulards and knitted headbands~ Those are my new favs.

☆ Favorite winter scent/candle.
We love cinnamon, apple... Christmas scents! Especially cinnamon and vanilla.
Agree! Cinnamon is a very Christmasy scent! And love anything cinnamon so, yeah.

☆ Favorite winter beverage.
Starbucks seasonal drinks! We always have them, my favorite is Toffee nut. I love Christmas punch and hot drinks too.
Everyone know how much I love my Starbucks seasonal drinks but I'm also obsessed with eggnog. Hehe

☆ All-time favorite Christmas/holiday movie.
I really like this movie about two women, who switch places. One living in London and the other in America...
Sounds like "The parent trap" haha
No... Holiday! With Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. I love that movie. I can watch it over and over again. (we actually watched it on Christmas eve haha). And Bridget Jones's Diary...
Is it a Christmas movie?
No, but they show it on christmas and it has many Christmas scenes. I really like those two.
Mine is The Nightmare before Christmas *laughs*
Yes, of course.
I don't know if it's considered a Halloween movie or a Christmas one tho...

☆ Favorite scarf.
I have many but mostly the ones I got in Spain. I love them because they are very warm. I pretty much started wearing them over there because it was freezing. My favorites are a green & blue and a green one. I love colorful scarfs.

I don't think I have a favorite scarf but there is one I've been wearing a lot lately and I get so many compliments everytime I wear it. It's a knitted pink scarf that my cousin Rosie made and gave me a couple of years ago. The color is just beautiful!

☆ Favorite holiday food/treat.
I used to love when my mom made Basque style Codfish stew...
Yeah~ *nod nod*
My dad's friends used to go after Christmas to eat it. That and her Romeritos(seepweed) were really good.
I've never liked romeritos...
I know, but those were really good.
I'd say Codfish is my favorite, I miss it tho.
My mom's food was my favorite
Mhm...

☆ What’s at the top of your Christmas wishlist?
To be happy, have peace with myself and have my loved ones around. That'd be at the top. The rest is important but not as much as having my loved ones with me.
Is it weird to say I don't have a wishlist this year? I guess it'd be to still be able to make memories with the ones I love. And happiness.

And, that is it for our little style tag. Hope you guys enjoyed it and that you all had a very merry Christmas!
