Collective Haul: Forever 21, C&A, makeup and accessories.

Since a new month already started I thought, why not making a collective haul post with what I bought last month to show you guys.
I've been doing some closet cleaning (again!) and there's a LOT I'm giving away but, it also made me notice what pieces of clothes (and others) would help me to match and use some pieces I already have. Somehow I feel like I'm doing some "Smart Shopping" and making good decisions when shopping.

♥ Forever 21 Denim Mini Pleat Skirt: It's been a while since I last had a denim skirt. I used to wear them a lot years ago. So I thought it'd be nice to have one during the Spring and Summer season. Since it's denim, I can match it with pretty much everything. Instead of wearing jeans, I'll be using this one a lot!
It's all wrinkled, sorry!

♥ Forever 21 Ramen Socks: Not a lot of people know this but my mom sometimes calls me "Ramen Girl" because I eat a lot of ramen and well...I like it a lot! So I just knew I had to buy these as soon as I saw them. I even got a pair for my mom. Hehe.

♥ Forever 21 Mid Finger Ring: I don't usually wear gold but I saw this ring a while ago and really liked it, I didn't bought it because it was gold~ but last time I was checking the accessories, we met again! Yeah...I saw it as a sign, I bought it. What I've noticed it that even though it is  fake gold, it has very good quality, I've been using it a lot lately and the gold color doesn't go away as some other fake gold or silver accessories you find in other stores.

♥ C&A Peachy Short Jumpsuit: Just one thing to say...super comfortable!

♥ C&A Navy Blue (kinda) polka dots t-shirt: I'm actually thinking about getting more of these types of shirts. They are so easy to match.

♥ H&M Mascara: I already talked about this one on my March Favorites post but yeah, it has been working well for me, aside from the fact that it's not waterproof. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

♥ Meilaiya Pressed Powder: I've been using this one for a while now. It is a Chinese brand I found at a small Korean store, I don't really like to experiment with brands I don't really know but luckly it didn't caused me any breakouts and stuff. I only use this one when I'm not looking for coverage and I only want a matte finish.

♥ Nude and White Flats: I've been wearing this a lot lately, and not only they are really comfortable, I can wear them with pretty much everything. That's why I liked the combination a lot.

LOL! I just noticed my feet have marks from the shoes I was wearing before taking this pic.

♥ Black Oxford Shoes: I needed a good pair of black flats and I saw this ones (which were on sale!) and I found them so unique and cute. Then again, they are easy to match with so many things.

♥ Cute Hair Ties: On my last Collective Haul, I showed you guys some pink hair ties I bought. I liked them enough to buy the same type but in purple and black this time.

...that's all for now! I'm surprised there are not too many makeup pieces this month~ Anyways, bye for now!!

✏ Teacher chit chat: How my job has changed me~

I don't share much about my job in this blog, and that is mainly because there are things that are meant to be kept as private. Especially working with kids.
As some of you know I'm an English teacher, and I work with preschool kids.

Honestly, I never, EVER thought I'd end up working with kids. When I was younger, I hated the idea of being a teacher, I didn't even liked to play the teacher when playing with my cousins and stuff.
But during my "I-don't-know-what-I- want-to-do-for-living" moment, somehow, I decided to give it a chance "while" I decided what I really wanted to do.
When I first started, I had no idea of how to teach or deal with kids. I didn't even liked kids!! It was my first time ever in front of a group and I had to work with 3 different groups!

I had no patience and didn't even knew if what I was doing was right. I was lucky enough to had the chance to work there being so unexperienced, and even luckier to have such great people as my co-workers who helped (and still do) me a lot through the years.

With time I've learned that my job, is one of the most beautiful ones. I get the chance to teach, share, learn, and maybe even be an important part of a human being's formation.
I spent most of my days with the kids, and I can tell not a single day is the same. They always make me laugh, they have a very unique way of seeing things, I'm amazed of how fast they learn (the good and the bad) and of course, I've seen the most sincere love.
I don't know if this will make any sense but I feel like working with kids has made me become more...human in a way? I don't know how to explain. Heh~~~~~

I think this 4 or 5 years I've been working as a teacher have been some of the greatest! Like I always say, I'm learning a lot about everything! Parenting, life, education, responsability, and the most important, I'm doing something I really enjoy. Hehe.
Kids are amazing! They keep surprising me everyday. They want to learn, they are always curious and even the most common thing can be amazing to them. I think we should learn from them and neve loose that excitement about everything we do or learn.

I could say I'm slowly becoming a teacher, with lots of help I've learned a lot and I know there is a lot more to come. I've became a much more patient and somewhat creative (in a way) person and I love spending time with my kids, in fact, I can't wait to have my own someday soon!!

I wish I could share my everyday at work with you all so you could see how fun it is. And if I can make a good difference, even if it's just a small one, in one (or more than one) kid's life; I definitely will be very proud of myself.

My March Favorites!

After not blogging for a while due to busy schedules, here I am, back for another "Monthly Favs."
Yeah...I skipped last month's but, I'll try my best to continue with this posts.
Ok, let's take a look at what have been my favorites at the moment.

Makeup

I've been obsessing over lip tints lately. My 2 favorites at the moment are from Etude House. One is the Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in "Cherry Peach" and the other one is the Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint in "Vita Pop" (#3)
The application is super easy and both colors are super cute. Especially for this Spring and Summer. I've been meaning to buy more colors since these 2 are both...orange! But I haven't really got the time to do it yet. A more complete review will be on this blog sometime soon.
Sadly, this month I had to say goodbye to my TonyMoly Cats Wink Mascara, which I loved. And as a last minute buy I got a mascara from H&M. Only because I knew I would be needing one and I thought the price was too good to resist. It's the Mascara Volume in "Black" and even though I wasn't sure of what to expect I've been liking it so far. It makes my lashes look longer!! The only bad thing about it is that it's not water proof so...yeah.

Left: Cherry Peach. Right: Vita Pop #3

Clothes & Accessories

In my last Collective Haul, I showed you guys the ankle cut jeans I got from Forever21. I have to say those have been my ultimate favorites! I wear them all the time, everywhere! I just really like them and how they fit on my skinny legs~~~~ Really, it feels great to fill in those jeans!
I'm not sure if you guys know but, I'm a BIG Star Wars nerd. No joke. And my sister gave me this Darth Vader tee as a gift. It is my first Star Wars T-shirt and I love it so, so much!!! ♥ Mrs. Skywalker is proudly showing her hubby Mr. Vader around!
And finally, something I recently bought but been wearing them a lot are these nude/white flats. I find them cool because they go with pretty much everything, really easy to match! And they are really comfortable.

Yummies

Lately I've been really into natural fruits water or tea with fruits (both with some Chia seeds) and those have been my favorites to drink during the week. This past month we had a crazy weather, with lots of rain and pretty cold.
So it's hard for me to drink enough wather on a cold day. So I find these types of drinks good to keep me hydrated and a good way to drink enough water.

I've been loving the mix of raspberry & blackberry juice with actual blackberries in it. Yum!

Random

I bought this adorable Hello Kitty band-aids at walmart and, I know this are not a new thing or anything but, the packaging is way too cute! They come in this pink, polka dots can you can reuse after using the plasters. It has 20 plasters with 4 cute designs.

And...I think that is it for now, not too many things because life has been a lot busier than expected but, hopefully I'll be back next month with more goodies!

How I do my eyebrows

Hello dolls!
It's been a while since I started experimenting with my different ways to fill my eyebrows.
I was born with natural thin brows and even though that would be great for some girls, it is hard for me to find ways to shape my brows since there is not much to work with.

You know what they say, "The thicker the brows, the younger you look" (ok! let's just try not to over do them and make them look extra thick and big)

Filling in the brows to make them look thicker has been a huge makeup trend since last year, and after trying different products and techiniques, I finally found the one that works for me. Yay.

People say you should always use a color that is lighter than your actual brow color to do it but, I think it pretty much depends on the look you want to give to your brows.

This is how my brows look like
So, this is what I'm currently using to fill in my brows:

♥ Kiotis Colors Brow Pencil. "Coffee" This is a medium brown color(?) slightly lighter than my actual brows. It is really easy to work with it and the cool thing about it is that on the other side of the pencil, it has a sponge to blend the color into your brows and create a much more natural look.

♥ Kiotis Colors Brow Gel. (I don't know if this one has a name because all the words it had on it, are gone. Hehe) This one can be used on both, eyelashes and brows. It has no color and it helps my brows to saty in place.

And this is how I fill them in:

♥ I start creating a few soft lines along my brows, focusing on the areas I want to fill in.

♥ Now using the sponge, I blend the color into my brows. First following the direction the hair grows and then on the oposite direction.

♥ To finish my brows I apply some brow gel along my brows, giving them the "shape" I want. This will help them to stay in place for longer time.

It takes me like 5 minutes (or less!) to do this every morning. The fun thing about this is that you can experiment with colors, shapes and products to see which one works best for you. And if you don't like it, you can easily clean it using whatever you use to remove your makeup.

It doesn't make a huge difference but, I like the results. ^^
That's pretty much it for my brows! Hehe.
