Etude House Fantastic Color Eyes "Bloody Halloween"

Hi hi!

I'm too excited to show you guys this Eyeshadow Palette. As the name says Fantastic Color Eyes #1 Bloody Halloween, it's supposed to be Halloween Limited Edition, I'm not sure. I got mine earlier this week.
When I saw the name "Bloody Halloween" I knew I had to have it. The colors are perfect for the Fall/Winter season.

This palette includes 5 eye shadows and 1 lip color. Even the names of each color are Halloween related.

"Pale" is a light beige with a little shimmer.
"Zombie Kiss" is the lip color one, it is a deep, wine-ish red which I think could be used as a cream blush thingy too. The color is super pretty.
"Witch Hunting" is a pretty pale soft pink and the only matte color of the palette.
"Funky Horror" is a shimmery purple pink-ish kind of color.
"Bloody Burgundy" as the name says is a reddish shadow which I'm not too sure if I'd use. I wouldn't feel too comfortable wearing red on my eyes but, we'll see.
"Halloween Night" is a metallic black.

What I also liked is the sponge applicator, wich comes with 2 sponge sizes, perfect to create different looks depending on what you want.

I can't wait to create a look using this palette!
Even though the package is really cute, I wish it'd look a little more Halloween-ish to match the whole theme.
But yeah, I'm too happy with them!!

Day of the Dead

BEWARE OF PHOTO SPAM!

Even though my family never celebrated this holiday, I could say it is one of the few things I do like about the place where I live.
I do know there's a difference between my beloved Halloween and tha day of the dead but since it comes right after halloween, I kinda like to put them together and celebrate it as one long holiday (does it make any sense?)

My friends and I had a little tour downtown to enjoy some of the Day of the Dead decorations, small fairs and the anual Alfeñiques fair. (I just found out Alfeñique is the art of creating figures from sugar~ Always learning something new! hehe)
I remember visiting this fair since I was a little girl wih my grandpa, and getting some traditional candies there. I was meaning to take some photos there but it was crazy crowded! It was almost impossible to walk around the place.
This fair is pretty famous here and people from many places comes to visit it, somehow I think is really pretty and colorful. What I mostly buy are chocolate skulls but there are TONS of sweets and other goodies, all related to death in a cute o funny way.

Thankies daddy for my chocolate skulls!

Can you tell the first one had a bad surgery after being crushed inside my friend's purse? LOL

They also had street plays, altar expositions and a small bazaar with some death related arts and crafts.

We never put altars at home, but I always have lots of fun helping with the one we put at school. Sadly this year I could be part of the making due to my dental surgery but I did helped with the cute and flirty skull at the right of the altar. My fellow teachers did an amazing job! Congrats sweets!

How do you guys celebrate the Day of the Dead?

(˼●̙̂ ̟ ̟̎ ̟ ̘●̂˻) My Halloween Favorites! (˼●̙̂ ̟ ̟̎ ̟ ̘●̂˻)

Hello pumpkins!
It's sad to say goodbye to October~ it just went by to fast! This month I'm changing "October favs" to Halloween favs"

I feel like I could've blogged more about Halloween earlier this month but it was such a busy month and I pretty much spent the actual Halloween week recovering from a molar teeth surgery, and we have to miss some of our plans for bigger reasons, I had some halloween related fun the whole month. I really tried to have something holiday related every day, and I think I pretty much did! From horror movies, horror games, halloween themed food and snacks to shopping, seasonal drinks and gifts!
Ready or not, here we go! Hehe

One of the first Halloween things I bought this year was this "Little Monsters" Pumpkin Candle. I thought it was really cute, the smell was delicious and it was super cheap, why not byuing it? I've been lighting it almost every night, and it gives a yummy pumpkin spice cinnamon-ish smell to my room. (and I mean it, yummy! It makes me want to eat the candle!)

My purple spider / spider web water glass is something I've been taking everywhere with me during the month, I wanted to drink my water in a holiday glass too! I bought 5 other glasses along with mine to give to my friends and my mom as early halloween gifts filled with seasonal candies. I decided to give them early gifts this year so they could use the glasses through the month. There were lots of cute designs including skulls, bats, pumpkins, owls, etc. And two sizes.

Something I was very excited about was finally buying a brain jello mold! I wanted one for about 2 years now and as soon as I saw it, I bought it! (I have a thing for doing Halloween shopping. I can't help myself) I had my fun making some Jello Brains this year.

So, I know I mentioned the "Murder Mystery Coppie" promo from Sweet Sweet Cafe in earlier posts but, I'm including it here too! Who doesn't like to win a prize when buying coffee? I was really excited when this whole "game / promo" thing came out, I bought mine the exact day it started. I was guilty for killing poor "Muffin" and got a Halloween gift for it. Life is sweet! Especially with a Candy Corn Coppie! Yum!

And now that I started with the food, I found a few things I had to try since they were only available this season.

And last, but not least are all the cute (and creepy) gifts my friends and family gave me! You all know me too well! Some of them are already in my tummy! Hehe. Just know that I truly appreciate all those details!
Here are some of them...

I wish you all a fun and creepy day!!

Mon's Kitchen: Jello Brains~!

Hello zombie babies!

It took me a while to finally use the brain mold I got earlier this month from Wal-Mart, I was especially excited about it because I wanted one for a long time now.
So, the recipe is super simple! I bought a package of strawberry jello and a 1lt. of milk. I wanted to use milk jello because it'd give it a more realistic brain color but, you can use any color you want.

Instructions:

1. Heat the milk, once is hot enough add the jello and mix.

2. Pour the mix into the Brain mold and let it cool for lika an hour or so.

3. When the jello was cool and firm I removed the mold using some hot water at the top of it to help the jello slip out of the mold.

Ta Da! Now I have a brain!
To add an extra something to my brain I used some strawberry syrup, I think it makes it look a little bit more real~ hehe

Since the mold is small, I had some jello miz leftover, so I just filled little jars and decorated them with skull candy bones to give them a Halloween look.

Super quick and Halloween-ish dessert!
