My June Favorites~!

Hello babies! I hope you are all enjoying the Summer! I'm looking forward to have my break now! I'm counting the days~~~~~~
I had very stressful days a few weeks ago and there's still a lot to be done but, aside from all the work and stress I went through this month, we also had so many things to celebrate! Such as my birthday, my dad's birthday and Father's day! I had enough cake for a month!!

Now that June is over, let's take a look at some of my favs this month:

I'll start with the snacks even though they are already in my tummy. Earlier this month I tried Shrimp Chips for the first time and they are so addictive! The ones I got are from Calbee but I know there are other brands that have shrimp flavored snacks. I love shrimp and I was very curious to see if they were as good as I thought. The bag had enough chips to last for like 2 days and they are definitely delicious and worth trying. Even my dad got addicted to them and got a bag for himself.
Next are the Kasugai gummy candies, these are supposed to be made of 100% fruit and whether that's true or not, they are really yummy! They have like 5 different fruit flavors. Sad thing is the bag is very small, but they are easy to carry with you everywhere!

HAIR: I started using a conditioner from Organix a few months ago and I really liked how it worked with my hair. Once the product was over I wanted to buy the Cherry Blossom one, just because of the smell. It smells delicious, I can't stop smelling my hair after using it. It has a blend of cherry blossom extracts and Asian ginseng roots to rejuvenate the scalp and hair follicle. And rice milk with bamboo extract for hydration and shine.

MAKE UP: For Teacher's day I got this Mary Kay eye shadow in Mocha (046682 3V01) and it has been my everyday to-go color. I apply a little over my brown eye liner and it helps it to last all day long. Especially now that the weather has been so humid~

Mary Kay "Mocha"
CLOTHES: I got this shorts/skirt like 2 weeks ago from"Stradivarius" The picture doesn't really show it but the color is an electric Royal Blue(?). I loved it because when you see it from the back it looks as if you were wearing shorts but from the front it looks like a skirt. It's really comfortable to wear and it looks really cute. They also have it in hot pink, yellow and black. I don't know if I should buy another one in an other color.

SHOES: These are also from "Stradivarius" I don't usually go for pointy shoes but they kinda caught my eye and I couldn't resist. They have them in black and nude. I wanted the nude ones because I can match them with everything and, they can dress up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt easily.

And well, as usually I'm watching a new drama this month~ "Glorious Day" is a romantic comedy / drama? I don't know how to describe but it is so good and addictive! I love HongBin from VIXX and seeing him there is so cute! Highly recommend this one!
I've been obsessing over Hong Jin Young's "What about my age", it is a very catchy song!

And I think that'll be it for the month of June~ Let's see what July brings!

Haul: Avon makeup, skin care & accessories

One of my friends and co-worker sells Avon, so I always get the newest catalogues. I like Avon because I always find some cute things to get for really good prices! Yeah, sometimes I end up buying things I don't really need but, oh well~ I can experiment with their products without spending too much money.
What I usually buy are lipsticks! Color Trend is definitely one of my favorite things to check because they always have bright, fun colors, and the quality is good, can't complain. I already have a few!

This is what I got this month:

♥ Avon Color Trend "Vibrant Coral" (M1504) Since it's orange, I /had/ to buy it! I love orange lipsticks and this one is really pretty! Even though it looks like a strong color, it looks very subtle and natural once you apply it. I wonder how many orange lipsticks I have so far...

Vibrant Coral (M1504)

♥ Avon Health Essentials pink hair towel. I saw a DIY video (on SecretLifeOfABioNerd) for this kind of towels a while ago and I was so determined to make one! I even had the fabric and stuff but, it never happened~ I ended up using that fabric for something else... So I was really excited when I saw this one for sale! It is really cute and easy to wear! The only thing I'm not too happy about is it makes my head hurt after a while since it's a bit bit tight. I kinda want to decorate it a little to make it look...cuter?

This is not the best pic I cout get but it kinda shows how the towel looks like once you wear it. It has a little button on the back to keep everything in place~
♥ Avon ClearSkin Pore Penetrating scrub. I've been using this one for a while now and I love it! It feels really fresh and it's gentle to my skin. This is my kind of scrub because it is kinda dry(?) so you can actually feel those little pearls working! I use it twice a week. I was already running out of product so, it was time to get a new one. It lasted a lot though!
♥ Avon Ideas pink heart eye liner pencil sharpener. I kinda needed one and seeing how cute this one was, I bought it. It has a whole for regular eye liner pencils and a bigger one for chunkier(?) ones. It's also very easy to clean.
♥ Avon Color Trend Eye Liner in "Hot Coffee" My mom was the one who bought it but she ended up giving it to me. I'm into brown eye liners at the moment so I'm giving it a try.

I already ordered some other things that will arrive next month~ but for now, I'm happy with what I got.

TonyMoly Appletox Peeling Cream.

So, as I've mentioned before on my "May Favorites" post one of my favorite products to clean my face right now has to be TonyMoly's Appletox Peeling Cream. There are actually two kinds of Appletox, the other one is called Honey Cream I think, and it's a moisturising cream I'm looking forward to try too.
This one is also different from the Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack. I tried it once before but I'm not really looking for a whitening effect.

Appletox helps you to remove the dead cells on your skin, leaving it very soft.
Let's start with the package~ it is a cute green apple that actually looks...tasty? It has a lid top and  I was expecting it to have a spatula like Tomatox but...it didn't. Boo.

The cream is white but once you apply it on your face the color goes away. It's not too thick and it smells like green apples in a not very strong way, really fresh!
It contains keratin extracted from green apple, papaya and fresh vegetables to provide moisture and clean old skin cells. The fruit acids eliminate cuticles in pores allowing the skin to have better absorption of the nutrients from everyday skin care products. Keratin leaves the skin fresh and clean.

It didn't came with indications on how to use it so I had to research online. This is how I use it:
* I remove my make-up and wash my face.
* Once it's clean and dry I apply some Appletox, not way too much but enough to cover my face.
* I gently massage it for a minute or two until I start feeling this thingies coming out of it (people say those are the dead cells coming out of your skin)
* And finally wash it off with warm water.
►NOTE: I /always/ put some moisturising cream after using this product, if I don't my skin feels a little itchy.

I've been using it twice a week for over a month now and I'm very happy with the results.
I would definitely buy it again!

A little birthday (gifts) post!

Hi sweeties!
First of all, I wanna thank you all for the birthday messages, tweets, hugs, etc! It really means a lot to see how many people care about me! I feel special and lucky! ;)
It took me a while to put this post together since my weeks keep getting busier!

I started my day pretty early! But yeah, hugs, gifts, cupcakes cake and coffee in bed are always appreciated! My sis, mom & grandpa showered me with birthday surprises! Yeah, I'm a spoiled girl~~~
I had a lovely day, and even though I had to work that day, my co-workers made me a little bday celebration at work with pizza. They are like my 2nd family. Of course I heard my kids singing "Happy Birthday" to me a couple of times even the day after my actual birthday.
After work, dad took me out for dinner, which was pretty nice. A good way to end a busy but great day.

Every single gift I got meant the world to me, here's a sneak peek to what I got this year from family, friends and even some of my kids from work. I feel like people know me too well~

So, this is the worst pic I could take but it was too hard with Michee around!
She kept jumping all over the place and wrinkling(?) the clothes~
Michee ended up appearing in the pic...

Spider-Man! my crush.

I love having fresh flowers! I don't have them often so, I'm super happy when I get some!
This was actually a gift from one of the kids.

Mary Kay eye shadows.
"Mocha 046682 3V01"
"Violet Mist 046673 3F14"
Random fact, dad and I celebrated our birthdays on the same week! We're both proud Gemini. LOL

Happy bday daddy! 06/06

My May Favorites

Hi hi loves!
Can't believe how fast this month went by! Pretty much half year is gone now! Life has been a little busy lately, especially with the end of the school year coming real soon, Summer break is around the corner! Yay!

Here are some of my favorite things this month~!!

Let's start with skin care products. To keep my skin hydrated I was using the "Garnier Essential Care" face cream on its pink version. Last time I went to buy it I couldn't find it and ended up getting the green version. I'm so happy I did! I feels a lot better on my skin. I would say it's a bit more gel-ish(?) instead of creamy and leaves your skin feeling fresh! I'm currently using it as a night cream.
Next is my TonyMoly's "Appletox Peeling Cream" I got it a while ago but I wanted to use it for a while before deciding if I loved it or not. I've using it twice a week for a little over a month now (I think) and I like how my skin feels. I can see a cleaner and smoother face now. I'll talk about this product in a separate post soon.

I don't know why I always have to add something food / drinks related but, the weather has been a little colder now, rainy season is here and I always enjoy a hot cup of tea when I get home from work. "Davenport" tea is my current favorite. They have like 5 different flavors of mixed fruits. So yummy.

Moving on to clothes and accessories, I always liked my dad's Ray Ban glasses but, I never liked how I looked wearing them. I found those silver glasses with that exact shape (not Ray Ban though) and I loved them! They where kinda cheap so I thought, why not? Give them a chance. I really don't know if I look good wearing them or not but they are my favorite sunglasses at the moment. I'm also a walking mirror when I use them. People can check themselves there while talking to me. LOL.
Coming all the way from Japan is my Scouting Legion jacket and even though it is something anime related, I wear it as a normal jacket. Not as a cosplay piece or whatever. It is really comfortable to wear and I really like it! I had to wait like a month for it to arrive home, then I had it fixed cuz it was too big for me. I'm happy with the end result. I've been wearing this one a lot now, definitely happy with my buy!

And finally, my Cheetara figurine~! Haha, this was a random item! I saw her and I just /had/ to buy her! Cheetara was my favorite character from the ThunderCats since I was a little girl. Then I saw her new look after the ThunderCats 2011 version was released and liked her even more. She is a beautiful, strong character. It is kinda rare to find new ThunderCats stuff here where I live so, maybe I'll just have her standing in my room somewhere but it is one of those things that make me happy. (^3^)

Not in the picture but part of my monthly favs is a new drama I'm watching called "Big Man" Jung So Min is one of my favorite actresses so yeah, I'm watching this one. Her character is kinda...unique with a very interesting style. Kinda makes me wanna try an outfit inspired on Jin Ah~

And that'll be it for now!

Skin79 BB Miniature Set Black Review

Hi sweets!
So, a while ago I bought this BB cream set from Skin79. It was my first time trying something from this brand. I was really excited about trying different BB creams before deciding which one to buy. I've noticed that Asian BB creams are way better than others~ (just my opinion) From the first time I tried the Missha one in a sample I felt the difference and I loved it.
I was using the Garnier BB cream in their lighter shade which was a little dark for my skin, but it was ok. One of the things I liked about these BB creams is that once they dry on your skin, the color just mixes your skin color giving you a way more natural look. I don't have to worry about it being too dark~! Yay.

It took me a while to make this review cuz I wanted to use each BB cream for a week before having an opinion on them.
So, let's start!

1. VIP Gold Collection Super+ BB.
It is supposed to have a whitening effect, UV protecting SPF25 PA++ and wrinkle improvement.
It feels a little thick at first but it's not sticky. At first it looks a little grey-ish but it matched my skin tone once it dried. I didn't saw any whitening effect though, but maybe I didn't used it long enough to notice it. But! It didn't had that much coverage. The smell is very soft, kinda sunscreen-ish but it goes away once the cream dries.

2. Super+ BB Triple Functions. It pretty much has the same benefits as the VIP Gold Collection but I think this one has a bit more coverage. Out of the 4 BB creams on this set, this has to be my favorite. It's fun to apply it because it's so creamy!, not oily face. I like it! (^3^)*

3. Diamond Collection The Prestige BB Cream. This one is a little thinner than the other 2, it has a citrus smell~ kinda. Coverage is good but it feels too sticky! Once it dries it gives you an oily look and it made me feel as if I had layers of make-up on my face. Not too happy with this one.

4. Diamond Collection Luminous Pearl BB Cream. The name says it all, it has a shimmery finish. I would only use it for parties...maybe. I'm not a party girl though so, I don't see the point of having it. I wonder if someone out there likes to have a shimmery face~~~
I didn't thought it would have any kind of coverage but it does. I didn't tried it on my face but I could notice it on my hands. It is way too liquid and the scent is a little similar to The Prestige Cream.

In general, I think it's a good purchase if you want to try different kinds of BB creams before deciding which one to buy. I think I'll go for the Super+ BB Triple Functions. Each mini cream has 12ml.

xx

Teacher's Day Gifts

Last week we celebrated Teacher's day. The rest of the week got a little busy and I finally had the time to sit and check all my gifts, one by one. I usually get lots of cute notes and drawings from my kids when it's not Teacher's day, they always find a way to show you their love. But yeah, on Teacher's day we get some bigger gifts and I see it as a way from their parents to thank us for our work. It is so sweet to see how the kids are dying to give you what their parents got for you as soon as they see you, they look so happy to give you something. I got so many cute and yummy things this year! I'm so thankful! I am a lucky Teacher~!

Let's start with the yummies!
If someone gives me chocolates, they can't go wrong! I loooove them, and I'm always happy to eat them.
Part of what I got: Baileys Chocolate, truffles, Hershey's goodies, cherries covered in chocolate and cookies.

I also got a fairy figure which mom says means "good luck" especially when someone gives it to you as a gift. Sheep figure means fortune! They are both around my room now. Red Chinese lipstick keeper(?) I used to love them when I was younger, it was kinda cute to have one again after so long. As for accessories, I got a cute bracelet with grey pearls and a headband with a big, bright sunflower. It was picked by my student for me, I'll definitely use it to keep my hair off my face when applying face masks.
The heart shaped photo frame came along with the happy face pen, chocolates, the pink bear and a Hello Kitty sticker that is already on my laptop.
As for make-up, I got this lovely Mary Kay Lip Lacquer in Chai Latte. I rushed in and tried it the next day. It's one of those colors I like at the moment, very natural and peachy with good durability.

Mary Kay Lip Lacquer "Chai Latte" (3A08)

This is my first year getting some clothes for teacher's day! One of my kid's moms, gave me this pretty light blue short dress, it is a little different from what I usually wear but is really comfortable, I loved the color and perfect for this hot weather.

Some of the older kids that already know how to write gave me some sweet notes and drawings. I love my kiddos!
And, last Saturday we had a get together with my co-workers to celebrate Teacher's Day. I'm so happy and thankful to work with such amazing people!
