Apartment 07 | Dash Skull Mini Waffle Maker | 💀

A little late but I'm finally gonna talk about my Mini Waffle Maker I received back in June as a part of my bday pressies. It is October now and since it is a Skull waffle maker, I thought it'd be the perfect time to share it. A while ago, when I shared a pic of my waffles on IG, I received many questions and comments about it so, here it is guys.

As it says, it is a mini appliance which makes it really cute and easy to store.

It has a non-sticky surface so it's super easy to clean.

The skull pattern comes in the lower part, the top is a normal waffle. Looking online I found they have other seasonal patterns too!

Like my Dash Mini Rice Cooker, it came with a recipe book that gives you some ideas to make other type of waffles.

The recipe I followed was the first the book has. Just make plain waffles. I could've added some vanilla now that I think about it... Anyway! It was easier than a thought I and made like 8 waffles with a little mix.

It was defo a great gift and a fun thing to use! Perfect to make Halloween themed breaky.

This were part of the first waffle batch I made.

Skull waffles and pink heart shaped plate... great combo, huh?

I can't believe I've reached the point where I enjoy kitchen appliances this much... guess this is what adulting is like. Hehehe.

Apartment 07 | Updates |

It's been a little over half year since I moved! Oh Emm Gee, where did time go?!
At first I thought I'd sit down and write monthly apartment updates but, truth is, I just haven't had enough time to do so! Even to properly work on the place that much~ I have some vlogs I haven't finished editing yet!

But, a few things have changed since my last post. I'll start with the most recent event: My floor is finally ready now! I got the chance to buy it back in December, when I managed to have a decent amount of money and, got it installed during my Spring Break. I wanted white floor but people kept telling me even tho it looks pretty, it would be very dirty so I ended up choosing an ivory / pearlish color that I really like. It really lightens up the place and makes it look and feel bigger.
It is also easier to clean and now, we can finally start buying more furniture and decorate.

Before the floor, I actually started painting some parts of the apartment. Starting with the bathroom. Which has been my ongoing project since the year started and even tho my dad and I have been working on small things, I haven't had the chance to finish it, hehe. Busy life is busy.
It's been nice to have my dad's help and work together. Not only because of the results but also because of the time spent and memories behind it. Plus, I just love using tools!

I also bought a beautiful pink sofa for my living room. At first I said that I didn't want a pink living room but I kinda fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's exciting to finally start buying furniture for my house!!

I'm obsessed with my sofa. I really enjoyed putting it together.

Even tho there's still a lot I want to but and furniture I want to change, I'm using everything I have for now to make my house a little more complete and homey (if that's a word).

My kitchen is the most complete place right now. I'm in love with my kitchen rugs from Yoyoso! Those cat butts are adrobs!

I remember I kinda wanted an Instagramable house before moving, now I really want my place to be super cozy place, that has a bit of eveyrthing I like and my personality. That's why I want to find cute and unique pieces.
I'll have a few video updates soonish but, there's a small playlist dedicated to the apartment in case you want to check them out: Apartment 07 Series

There is also an Instagram account where I share some of the things I do / buy for the apartment. Feel free to follow it if you want!! apartment.07

See you next time!! ♡

A month living in the アパート!

This pic was taken by my friend Lu, weeks before I moved. It was also the first time she was here!

I can't believe how fast time is going by, it's been a little over a month since we moved to my beloved apartment and even tho it has been a great experience so far, not everything is as I expected. Life became super busy since I moved, hence the lack of blogs and videos, and it's hard to focus only on the apartment with LOTS of things to do for work.

I think Masha was the one who went through the biggest change and it took her a while to adjust to her new home. Especially because right after moving, we had to back to work with our normal schedule and she spent a lot of time alone, in a new place. I think it took her like... over two weeks to feel confident to explore. I've been trying to spoil her and keep her entertained with lots of new toys and stuff, I think she's all good now.

In my mind, my apartment would be almost fully furnished, painted and with nice floors in a month! Clearly, I had no idea how expensive that was! All I have after a month is a bathroom with nice flooring and, I still need to paint it so it can be complete~ funny thing is, my bathroom is super small but it's one of my fav parts of the apartment because of the shower, it is just really good! My kitchen is well equiped but it still need some things; and the rest of the apartment is a bit of a mess with part of our lives still in boxes.

This has helped me to realize I have an expensive taste... hehehe.

Don't get me wrong, I've loved the process of slowly decorating and putting everything together. I just lose my patience sometimes!

My priorities have defo changed, I haven't bought many things for myself lately, which is weird. Everything goes to house expenses! And even tho I miss my shopping, I'm loving it. There were some things I even forgot I needed like an iron or a vaccumming machine. sometimes it's hard to find pretty appliances!! I also tried doing some DIY projects like part of my walking closet and beautifying my bathroom mirror with spray paint. I may not be the best at it but it's been fun and it makes me feel more skillfull than I thought I was.

My routine hasn't changed much aside from having to wake up earlier to get to work in time. I'm further now so, yeah. And well, my weekends are more focused on grocery shopping and doing some chores around the house. Yup, I sound like a serious adult now.

Oh yeah! Did I mention it is suuuuuper cold where I am now? Like, seriously. We even had to buy  heaters and we live with them on all afternoon long!

December is so close now, and I don't really think I'll decorate much because of the lack of furniture, but it's kinda cool to think it'll be the first winter / christmas season I'll spend there.

I already opened an Instagram account where I share some of the things I buy or do in the apartment. Feel free to follow it if you want: instagram.com/apartment.07

I'm also open to ideas and house hacks so yeah, I'd love to read if you have some. ^^

Fall scents: Marshmallow Fireside Scented Candle

Here's another housewarming gift from my friend Ceci, it is a candle from Bath & Body Works that has a perfect scent for Fall that, surprisingly, is not pumpkin spice.

It is the Marshmallow Fireside Scented Candle that is a mix of toasted marshmallow, wood, roasted vanilla and natural essential oils. It is sweet, cozy and really strong, which I like. It fills the room with a delicious smell.

The jar is also very pretty, it looks nice as a part of your decoration. I'm slowly becoming a fan of the Bath & Body Works Products.

What other smells do you consider good for fall? Besides Pumpkin spice, of course.

Apartment 07 | Dokkoi Kitchen Haul |

Welcome to another kitchen haul, hehe. This time we have a Dokkoi haul and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all!

Dokkoi is a Japanese store that sells a bit of everything (kitchen, stationery, beauty products, presents, decoration, etc) for very affordable prices. I feel it's a bit like Daiso but in a smaller version.

My bestie is a big fan and I feel like I'll become one too! I haven't been to their physical stores but I have a big wish list on their website and this is my first official purchase ever.

I spent $500MX for 8 items which I think it's pretty good. I'll link the video version of this haul in case you want to check the prices of each item.

So, let's start with the haul!!

First we have a pair of cooking chopsticks. I first saw this at my friend's house and thought they were pretty cool. And even tho I don't cook often (yet), when I do, I like to cook Asian food the most so, I'm sure I'll use them!

They are super long and apparently heat resistant. They only had them in one color, this light brown shade.

Even tho they are made out of wood, they have a silicone tip.

The next one is a measuring cup. Even tho I already have measuring spoons, I wanted to have a cup cuz I do believe they make things easier! I really like the red details on it, but since it's plastic, I think the measurements will wash off with time.

Kitchen scissors! I know how useful these can be but I didn't want a random, boring pair. That's why I chose this pink, bright ones!

They are big and the quality feels pretty nice!

The thing worth mentioning about these scissors is the flower print. I feel it makes them unique.

I honestly think this is one of the least exciting objects in this haul but one of the most useful... A vegetable peeler.

It is simple but I liked it because it's slightly holographic (even tho it doesn't really show in the pic) and well, it's pink.

Then we have a heart sponge holder. I think having one is a cute way to store your sponge and make you sink look prettier at the same time.

It is a white, plastic holder with a cute heart shape. I've seen other cute holders on AliExpress and of course they were way cheaper but, I'm still waiting for things I ordered around this time last year so... yeah.

It comes with a suction cup so you can stick(?) the holder to your sink.

Now, this is one of my favorite things out of this haul, my ice cream, ice cream scoop. Isn't it super cute? I love ice cream so this is something I really needed to buy.

They only had it in one color tho, pink. Which was perfectly fine for me.

We're almost done guys and I left the most beautiful items for last. They are all made of ceramic and the style is a lot more traditional.
To be honest, I'm not someone who loves traditional stuff, but that changes when it comes to Japanese traditional things. They are just so, so precious and the quality is amazing.

Guys, I finally got my own sake jar!! You konw your girl loves her sake but I didn't have a proper jar. I've seen many beautiful ones online but, for whatever reason I haven't bought any. This one is really simple but still pretty. No I want to get matching cups! Sadly they didn't have any atm.

Then we have a gorgeous cooking pot!! This was the "most expensive" item I got, and even tho I'm not sure what can I coon in this one, I'm really happy I got it.

It has cute flowers painted on the lid. They look super delicate and pretty. I just can't~

What else can I say? I love it.

And the last thing is more of a birthday pressie I recieved earlier this year. I wanted to include it here because it is also from Dokkoi.

It is my sakura tea cup. You know I love sakura flowers and I wanted this cup for such a long time. To be honest, I think I've only had tea once, I mostly use it to drink my sake. 😅

🌸

And, that is everything you guys. Now that I look at the things I got, I feel like my kitchen will have a bit of everything: pink things, kawaii stuff and traditional japanese things. (Cuz yeah, there are ceramic plates I really want to get)
But, it's ok as long as I like them, hehe.

See you soon!!

Apartment 07 | Collective Kitchen Haul |

Welcome to my first kitchen haul!

What I'm going to show you here are random kitchen items I've been collecting over the years. Some of them were presents, and others were things I bought and never used. Now that I've been slowly organizing, packing and getting rid of stuff, I bumped into them again.

Not all of them are essentials but, I'll give them a good use and... they are really cute!

Let's take a look!

The first thing is a heart shaped shopping board I bought years ago, it was part of the Valie's Day merch I found at this type of dollar store called "Prichos", you can usually find them at Walmart. It is a plastic chopping board but doesn't feel too cheap. Hehe.

These next items were also part of the Valie's Day merch so, I believe I bought them around the same time I got the chopping board. They are heart shaped measuring spoons.

They were also from "Prichos" and came in a set of 4. They all have different colors and different sizes.

The material feels a little cheap tho. Like regular plastic but, you get what you pay for. One thing is true, they are really cute.

Then we have another chopping board. I bought this one back in Spain. It is a glass board with unicorns all over it. It was from a store called Tedi. I loved this store, you can find a lot of things for 1€ but they also have more expensive items. They mostly have house and decoration stuff.

How cute is this?

Speaking of Spain, this cute set of black & white espresso cups and plates were a gift I recieved when I was there. Y'all know how much I love my coffee but I haven't really used them yet. I do have an espresso machine that my bestie gave me tho. They would go well together!!

I believe this is the only item I've actually used from this haul. I got these bunny popsicle molds at a loungewear store... yup. It was so weird, but I couldn't resist and I had to buy them. Plus, I love popsicles and ice cream! I used to make flavored water posicles years ago but I suddenly stopped.

You can make 4 posicles

Look at that kawaii bunny face!

You might have seen this before in a pressies post. It is my official "grown up" knife! Or at least, it makes me feel like a real grown up, haha. It is from MainStays which I know you can find at Walmart. The color is really nice and it is not heavy at all, I also like the fact that it comes with a cover thingy.

Lastly we have round placemats I got from Miniso and they are the cutest things ever!

Even tho they had other designs, I had to go for the sakura and neko one. It's very me! Haha. Plus, they are pink.

They come with 2 placemats each. I kinda want to buy 4 of everything for now, so I ended up buying 2 sets.

And, that is it for this haul guys. It's funny because lately, I find myself excited about buying kitchen stuff so, expect to see more. I might have more super cheap hauls than fancy ones because even if I like fancy stuff... I can't afford it! LOL.
One thing is for sure, I'll be sharing cute things because I want my kitchen to be a pretty one.

Also, if you want to see me talking about these items, click on the video down below!

See you next time!!
