My Simple Everyday Makeup.

Hello sweets!

Today I'm gonna show you my super simple everyday makeup. This one is especially for my sweet friend Jaydee.

As time goes by I feel like less is more when it comes to makeup, so I think this look would be easy to create if you're starting with makeup or if you don't feel like using too many products or tricky techniques.
This is what I usually do with my makeup for work, it also takes me only about 15 minutes to do it so, it is really a good option for those who have not much time in the mornings.

I've been obsessing over lip tints and gradient lips lately!

Here are the products I used:
♥ Garnier BB Cream. Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector. In "light/Medium". I have to say that this is /not/ my favorite BB Cream to use (not saying it's bad though) but after trying some Korean BB Creams, others just don't feel the same. I'm basically using this one to finish it. I would feel bad throwing it away if it still has product left. The coverage is good but the color is a bit too dark for my skin tone~

♥ Beauty Control Extra Help Concealer. In "light" My dad gave me a few of this a while ago and sadly I'm running out of this one and since I don't know where to find it, I'll have to try a new concealer. This one is very thick, that's why I use just a little of it. It's a really good concealer though.

♥ Etude House Baby Doll Puff. Aside from being really cute, beauty blenders help you to have a more natural finish when applying your foundation, concealer, etc.

♥ Meilaya Pressed Powder. This is a Chinese brand, don't know if it's well known or not but it works good for me.

♥ CoverGirl Brush

♥ Kiotis Colors Brow Pencil "coffee"

♥ Kiotis Brow gel

♥ L.A. Colors Eye liner "Deepest Brown"

♥ L.A. Colors Eye Liner (AE665) "White"

♥ TonyMoly Cats Wink Mascara

♥ L,A. Colors Simmering Loose Eyeshadow w/brush in (SE111) "Snow White"

♥ Blush in "Rose Silk"

♥ Maybelline New York Baby Lips. 30 "Peach Kiss" Since I always have very dry and chapped lips, I try to apply a lip balm before lipstick. It has a very neutral color. Baby Lips + Orange/Coralish lip tins = ♥ hehe,

♥ Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint. #03 "Vita Pop!"

I hope you guys liked this look, I'm leaving the video version down below for those who are not really into reading and feel more like watching.

This is also my first makeup related video ever! I'm not too sure how I feel about it though and I'm sorry for the bad audio~ I'm still learning a lot about editing. Hehe. What do you guys think?

Collective Haul: Makeup, clothes and accessories.

Hello lovelies!

Here is a random collective haul of some stuff I bought last month and I wanna show you guys. Now that I look at it, maybe it wasn't much for a whole month but yeah, here we go.
As usual, this has a bit of everything.
♥ Two Forever 21 Denim. One is a Low Rise Ankle Skinny in grey and the other one is Low Rise Ankle Skinny in black. I don't own many Forever 21 jeans yet, but I'm so happy with how good I fit in them! Hehe, it's always hard for me to find jeans because I have very thin legs so, whenever they fit on my waist, the legs are just too wide or...the other way around. I'm also short! So this ankle jeans have a good lenght! I don't have to fold them anymore! Definitely loving these pair! And the price was really, really good.

♥ Forever 21 Cat socks. They are absolutely adorable.

♥ Etude House lip tints. These are my obsession at the moment! I kinda want to make a separate post on these babies so I won't be talking about them much but, I can't wait to get other colors!!!! ♥

♥ Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream. Mizon is a Korean brand I've never tried before. In fact, I haven't tried this gel yet because I'm waiting until I'm done with a product I'm currently using but I'll definitely let you know what happens once I try it. If anyone has any experience with Mizon products, let me know!

♥ Lingmei Lolita Girl Lip Balm. I amrunning out of it so yeah. I try to always apply it before applying lipstick since my lips are chapped and dry most of the time...

♥ Pink hair ties and bows. This were just last minute things I grabbed because I thought they were really cute and really cheap. I live hair accessories so, yeah.

♥ Mid Finger Ring. I am too excited with this ring! I always find it hard to find rings that can fit my fingers~ especially mid finger rings. I have super thin fingers!! (>3<) So this was one of those thngs you feel extra happy about. It looks cool and it fits!

And yeah...
♥ Kim Hyun Joong goodies. You guys know I can't resist to that man! I just bought 2 photos and a DVD (which I haven't seen yet~) this time. Hehe.
Obsessed much?

That's it! I think... I'm not sure if I'm missing things since I already put everything in different places.

Bye for now~!!

Heart-to-heart: Inspire & Motivate!

When I first started this blog like 3 years ago, I pretty much did it for fun, but as time goes by, I realise that I want to reach people with what I write. Even if is just one person. If I can get to someone, I will feel great and think this blog have a better purpose than just sharing some makeup and stuff. Not that there is something wrong with it, I actually love makeup but I know there is so much more I want to share than just that, I'm much more than that.
I am surrounded by many talented people, creative, hard working and just brilliant! I know I'm not the brightest or more creative person ever...in fact, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm good at. But all those people just inspire me to aim for bigger things, to dream and always try to do good things for me and for others.

Not long ago, I was talking to one of my friends who told me some things I didn't knew about. Like how I inspired him to have bigger dreams and work hard for what he wanted. He has achieved so much so far and still have plans, I'm so proud of him and knowing I had somewhat something to do with his motivation made me feel special. I didn't know I could have that "power" (If that's even the word) or that effect on people.
It made me happy to hear that! Because sometimes we think we don't do big things, that we just have a plain, normal life but we don't realise how what we do can affect others in both, good and bad ways. Personally I always try to keep a positive attitude in my life and towards others. I truly believe that makes a HUGE difference in our lives. And I'm glad that I caused something good in at least one person! If I can continue doing that in any way, it's Mission Acomplished!

Life is full of things that can inspire us to do great things~! So even if it takes a while, try to find some inspiration or motivation to do greater things in your life. Trust me, it'll make you a happier and better person. As small as it may look to you, it can mean the world to others.

I know this post is a little random and I don't even know if it makes any sense at all but, I kinda wanted to share this with you guys, hehe.

Life update: Vlogging, modeling and my cooking improvement!

Hello sweeties!

Here's a quick life update of the past few months! A new year has already begun and it feels a lot busier than the last one.
As usual, things keep changing and I gotta say I'm getting used to them faster than expected!
Since my sister started a new job, she spends less time at home which means, a lot more housework for me to take care of. I was not used to do much housework aside from the dishes, and I do realise how crazy and tiring it can be but, I also have to admit it is not as awful as I thought, I'm like...a housewife in training! LOL.
Along with that work I've been cooking a lot lately~ and yeah, at first I had so many disasters but I admit I'm getting better each day. Yay.

As some of you already know, I started vlogging a few months ago. It's been a fun experience to share with you all a /few/ minutes of my everyday. I finally managed to edit in a decent way and I know someday it will be fun for me to go back and watch those vlogs all over again.
I wanna thank the people who actually take a few minutes to watch my vlogs and to me subscribers! I feel so happy becuse I actually thought I wouldn't get any...ever! Hehe. Keep the love coming! ♥
Anf for those who are not subscribed yet, don't forget to do it for more weekly vlogs --> MonStar's Little Vlog. I will forever appreciate it!

If you follow this blog, you'll already saw a lot about my first experience modeling. (full posts here & here!) It was a gret experience and it's not like I feel like I'm a model or anything, I don't even feel like I got what it takes but, I definitely would do it again if I got the chance. I decided that this year I will be more open to do and try new, different things, I don't want to stay in my comfrot zone~
Actually, I've got a new modeling proposal but, we'll see what happens. I'll keep you guys updated on that. As for the other photos, they keep coming when you less expect them! I'll leave some of them below for you to see.

Work is going well and I think I came to the point where I can manage to keep my busy schedules and have fun with my girls.

And finally, the Chinese New Year just happened and I wish you all a great year of the goat! What's your Chinese year? Mine is "rabbit" yay.

中国新年快乐!

See you all in my next update!!! X

Clean Skin! My skin care routine. Day / Night.

Hi hi sweets!
I know some of us are looking for the perfect skin look. I include myself on that! I don't think I have a perfect sking or anything but the skincare routine I've been having since last year has been working really well for me and I've seen a big difference on my face.

I used to be soooooo lazy when it came to washing my face everyday, removing my makeup every night before going to bed, and I know that if I had started at an earlier age, my skin would look way better now than it actually does. So if you're on your early 20s, take care of your skin, create a routine that works for you and you'll see a huge improvement on your skin.

I think the biggest secret for a good skin would be to keep it clean. Make sute to wash your face everyday, at least before going to bed to remove all the dust, makeup, etc of the day.

So, I'm gonna share with you guys the routine that has been working for me. I do this every morning and every night. No matter how lazy I feel or how late it is. I came to the point that if I don't keep my face clean, I feel guilty~~~~

My skin is slightly oily so, this works for my skin type. Keep in mind that products could change depending on your skin type and needs. I also have super sensitive skin, so it is hard for me to change products because most of them irritate my skin and cause break outs.

 DAY ROUTINE:

I wash my face every morning with cold water. The cold water helps me to depuff my sleepy eyes and face and well...to wake up!

In the mornings I use a scrub soap bar from Vitacilina. This is not a fancy or expensive brand, actually it is super cheap and can be found at Walmart.
They have like 3 different types of soaps but I picked the exfoliating one. It is really soft and gentle to my skin. I've been using it for over a year now and I'm thinking about continue using it.

After washing my face, I apply some hydrating cream. I'm currently using the Teatrical one. which is a little thick at first but, it absorbs really fast and keeps my skin soft and moist all day.

That's it for my cleansing routine in the morning. Most of the time I also try to apply some sunscreen. I'm using the Mary Kay SunCare with SPF50, but from some time now I don't love it anymore cuz it makes my skin feel too cakey once I apply my makeup.

NIGHT ROUTINE:

Before washing my face I remove my makeup using the Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Tissues.
Once I have a makeup free face, I wash my face with my Missha Green Tea Latte Cleansing Foam and gently massage it with my Etude House Wonder Pore brush for a better and deep cleaning.

After that, I apply a few drops of the Kiotis Paris Pavanelle Intensive Facial Treatment (which is almost over now) and massage my face for a few seconds, and them I put on some cream. I have to say I'm not using a night cream at the moment because I want to finish the Garnier Essential Care (this one is really light and fresh) but once I'm done with it I'll start with my first night cream ever.

And, this is what I do everyday!
Also, twice I week I exfoliate my face using the Avon ClearSkin Pore Penetrating Scrub and, I /try/  to use a face mask sheet at least once a week. (Usually DERMAL or The Cure but, I'm about to try new brands!)
Using the masks regularly, makes my skin glow in a very pretty and natural way.

I ran out of The Cure and DERMAL masks, but these are some I'm about to try. Missha & VANEDO

I hope this helps somehow. You can always create your own routine adding or changing some products. Whatever works for you!
X

P.S. Some of these products have already been featured in older entries. Links are here for you to check it out in case you want a little more info on them.

Missha Creamy Latte Green Tea Cleansing Foam

Last month I bought this cleansing foam from Missha and starting using it right away. I included it as a part of my night cleansing routine. I'm only using it at night at the moment because I'm not done with the soap I was using last year to wash my face, which has been really good.

I picked this one out of 3 cleansing foams: Creamy Latte Strawberry (which smells DELICIOUS!), Creamy Latte Green Tea and Chocolate Cleansing Foam. All 3 have different ingredients to help diffetent skin types.

 Strawberry: For dry skin.

 For Normal skin

 Green Tea: For oily skin.

My skin is slightly oily so I decided to buy the Green Tea one plus, everything green tea is a must have for me~ hehe.

This one is supposed to: Provide elastic and moisture to the skin, clean sebum and cleansing the skin.

The package comes in this long tube with 172ml of product. It looks really clean and pretty. Nothing too special though,
I was expecting a strong green tea scent to it but to me it doesn't smell like green tea at all. It has a subtle fresh smell.

It looks like a pearlish green foam, and it is very creamy once you apply it on your skin.

 How to use:

Take a proper amount of the product in your hand (a super small amount is enough to make so much foam), apply and rub on your whole face and wash with warm water.

I usually rub it using my Etude House Wonder Pore Brush, for better cleaning. I massage it for a few minutes until I get a foaming effect. You can deffo feel the latte in it working on your skin.
I always take all my makeup off before using this product. I don't really know how effective it is removing makeup on its own.

I've been loving this product so far, it gives my skin a brighter look and it feels super soft after using it.

I got it straight from the Missha store and I think the price was very reasonable for a cleansing foam.
The only thing I would change about it would be the smell! I want it to smell like pure green tea! Hehe.

XOX

P.S. I'm thinking about making a whole "Day/Night Cleansing Routine" post. Would you guys like to see that?
