Primark Disney Villains Eyeshadow Palette | Who's the Baddest of them all? |



Hello spooks!
October is finally here and I thought this eyeshadow palette would be perfect to start the month because well... Villains!

Two of my best friends recently came back from London and got me this eyeshadow palette from Primark (along with some British tea, of course) as gifts. They know how much I love makeup but, they also thought it'd be perfect because of how much I love witches and Halloween.

I loved Primark when I was in Spain and I highly suggested them to stop by and check what they had. I believe this is part of a Disney Villains Collection cuz doing some research online, there are also other makeup products featuring them.

Where to begin? With the packaging, of course!
I just love when brands put effort when it comes to packaging, I love the small details and this one has some nice ones!


The first thing you see are these four Villains: Cruella, Evil Queen, Maleficent and Ursula. The material is a thick and strong cardboard with a magnetic seal. It is covered by a transpatent plastic with "Who's the baddest of them all" written on it.

Once you start opening the palette, you'll have to go through each of the characters to get to the eyeshadows. Cool thing is, behind each of them, there's a movie quote. I think it adds a nice detail to it.

Ok, now let's get to the eyeshadows. You'll find one palette for each of these evil ladies with 5 different colors each. Including matte, shimmer and metallic shades.


Evil Queen:
This one is all about purples, lilacs and a hint of pink, which I have to say is one of my favorite combinations ever. 



Random fact: when I was a little girl, I really liked thee Disney Princesses but I also liked Evil Queen a lot.

Cruella:
Cruella is more neutral subtle, kind of my go to colors for eyeshadows. I don't think the lighter shades are showing on camera but the beige color is a great base and the shimmers have a very nice pigmentation too.



Ursula:
This is a fun palette with very beautiful metallics. I think this one would be great to create a smokey eye look for daytime. 



Maleficent:
It's funny how this one ended up being my favorite somehow. I'm not really into oranges for the eyes but the burnt orange color caught my eye as soon as I tried it on one of my friends eyes. This colors together make a perfect fall look.



All in all, the shadows are very pigmented and blend nicely, the metallics and shimmers are beautiful and it has enough shades to help you create different looks. 
I'll try to create some looks with them and share them here during the month. 

Once again, big thanks to my friends for the pressies and I'm so happy they got the chance to go on that trip.

Pumpkin Eyeshadow Palette | First impression & Swatches |



So! Not long ago, I saw that Wet n Wild came out with a Halloween collection (besides the Fantasy makers one). This one was not only for costumes, you could actually use it for an everyday look. I was super excited when I got a message from one of the beauty consultants telling me they had it. So, of course I rushed to see what they got and... it was only the Fantasy makers line~ to be honest, I was very disappointed. Not only I wanted to get some products to try (and blog about) but, I also wanted to get some for my friends as Halloween pressies. I ended up buying other non-halloween related things but, that's for another blog.

Looking around, I found this Pumpkin Eyeshadow Palette. I'm pretty sure there must be something similar out there from another brand. Anyway, I had the idea to get halloween makeup and this seemed good enough so, I got it.
The brand is called Yachan Cosmetics, which souds Chinese to me.

Here's a quick first impression because, I haven't had the chance to test it properly.
I'm gonna start with the packaging because that was the first thing that caught my eye. Even tho it doesn't look too expensive it is pretty cute and Fall-ish. It has 4 pumpkins on the cover with black and gold deets. It has a magnetinc closure which I find great.



Once you open the palette you find 8 different eyeshadows, their names and a mirror. I like the fact that it doesn't come with an applicator because I'm pretty loyal to my own brushes so, I don't use them.
The colors are mostly warm, earthy colors. Those are usually the colors I reach for the most. It comes with 7 mattes and 2 shimmers.
Pigmentation wise they are good, especially the shimmers!


Let's move on to the swatches!


All in all, I like it! I feel it's something that, even tho it looks halloweenish, you can actually use it all year long.

Maybe I didn't get my Wet n Wild Halloween makeup but, I did find something appropriate for the season.

Not long ago, my mom gave me this beautiful eyeshadow palette, and since that day, I've been testing it and pretty much loving it.
It is the Mixology Eyeshadow Palette in "Nude & Fresh Mix." There is another one with darker colors but this one has more natural colors that suit my style a lot more.

This palette comes with 18 different shades in 6 sets of 3 shades each. Apparently it's made that way so you can use the colors on those sets to create your looks but, you can always mix & match as you like.

Ok, let's talk about the packaging first. Even tho I always feel more attracted to super cute stuff, I gotta say I really like this one too. The eyeshadow case is really simple but, it looks clean and kind of... elegant. It's a simple black case with brand and name in gold.
When you open it, it comes with a wide mirror, the shadows and a double tip brush.




Moving on to the colors, this palette comes with mattes, shimmer colors and metallics so, you pretty much have a bit of everything to play with. You can create very natural looks or a nice smokey eye look.
They are pigmented, application is smooth and they are easy to blend. Some of the combinations in those sets are not my favorites but since you have other colors to pair them with, it's ok.
Durability is great as well, the shadows don't disappear on your eyes as the day goes by. Some of the colors do fallout a little tho.

So far, I've been enjoying this baby. The only thing that doesn't drive me crazy is the brush, but I will try to use it more to see if I end up liking it.

TonyMoly Crystal Stick Shadows.



Hello dollies!

A while ago I started using eyeshadow sticks instead of eyeliner to highlight my aegyo sal area. I was a big fan of white eyeliner to give a bright and cute look to my eyes but, since I bought my first stick from TonyMoly I fell for it and they have been my faves at the moment. They are a must on my everyday makeup.


So far I own two of them, the one I bought and one that was a Christmas gift from my dad. I pretty much switch them depending on the look I want or the color that goes better with the makeup or clothes I wear. What I like the most about them is that they give a subtle glow to your eyes, you can use them as a regular eyeshadow and the application is super easy and clean. They have a round tip and the "texture" feels a little sticky but, not in a bad way.


The first one is the TonyMoly Crystal Stick Shadow #1 "Snow White" and it's a really pretty pearl-ish color. It looks very subtle once you apply it and it gives that cute glow to my eyes.





The second one is the TonyMoly Crystal Stick Shadow #3 "Champagne Pink" and more than pink I think it's a coral-ish peach color with a slight gold tone to it. As the Snow White one, it gives a cute glow to my eyes but in a warmer way. It looks more natural.





I've been loving these two so much that, I'm definitely thinking about buying more from this collection! hehe.
