First Halloween pressies of the year! 👻

We're starting the best month of the year with some halloween / witchy pressies that I wanted to share with you as a way to officially start the spooky season.

The first gifts I'm gonna show you are not that recent, I received them back in August but I was saving them for Halloween season because they are super witchy.

First we have this super cool notebook that looks a lot like the Hocus Pocus book. It is made of fake leather which gives it a creepier look, hehe. Also, the brooch thingy is super cool. The pages inside are from recycled paper. I just love it so much! I think it'll make a perfect Halloween decoration piece but I also want to find a good way to use it. Any ideas?

Next is a silver moon charm. I think it gives strong witch vibes. The small ball thingy next to it kinda reminds me of a pendulum. They both glow in the dark.

Then, we have this purple "Hocus pocus" sign. For some reason I imagined it in my kitchen as soon as I received it so, it is now part of my kitchen halloween decor. I recevied this sign along with the trays last month.

Lastly, I received these 2 Nightmare before Christmas trays. Recently, Prichos came out with a very cute Nightmare before Christmas collection. I usually love classic Halloween colors and super creepy stuff but, for some reason, I love how they used pastel colors this time, hehe.
They are not that big but, they are perfect to put some snacks, cookies, small break in a very spooky yet cute way.

And well guys, this is it for this mini pressies haul. Let me know if you are getting ready for Halloween or if you started the month living and breathing halloween.

I'll see you next time~!! 🕷

Starbucks Halloween Bearista 🎃

Starbucks is my fav coffee place and we all know I go crazy during PSL season but, I don't really buy most of the things they come up with. Mostly because they run out of everything I like on the same day it's released!! It's crazy!

This year these cute bearista (love it) bears have been very popular. They've released different types for different occasions. Not long ago, my friend Ceci gave me one that works as a cup topper (not sure if that's the name tho) and it's just adorable!!

They released some cute Halloween mugs and tumblers but I never had the chance to see them... and, as soon as the pumpkin bearistas came out, some of my friends started sending me the pics and, I fell in love.

I was lucky enough to find it last week and I couldn't resist. It was the perfect treat after a booster COVID vaccine, along with a PSL.

Well deserved treat!

It is a bearista keychain of the bear dressed as a pumpkin holding a coffee. SO CUTE! It has a plastic hanger thingy and a green Starbucks tag strip. Everything is this kind of rubber plastic kind of material and, eve tho it's not super elaborated, the details are pretty nice.

The way to get them is throught the Starbucks Rewards card. You buy a venti drink and pay $99MXN. Dunno if they'll be available without the card.

Packaging was pretty simple tho. It would've been cool to have a Halloween themed box.

I don't think I'll use it as a key chain tho, I kinda want to have it as part of my coffee station (which is still under construction in a way) decoration, all year long.

I think that's it for this short post. I really wanted to share this cutie. Let me know if you got it or, if you'd like to get it.

See you next time~ 🎃

Something Wicked...

Earrings are one of my favorite accessories and, of course, I have special ones for my favorite time of the year. My sister gave me these last December and, I’ve used some of them before, but I’m finally using all of them this month.

They are from EyeCandy Accessories inc and it comes with 9 cute pairs including ghosts, pumpkins, bats, a cat on the moon, moons, spiders, spider webs, cats and gems.

What I like about them is that even tho they are Halloween accessories, they are not too flashy and they are easy to wear on daily basis. Not that I would mind if they were flashy… hehe. You know, it’s a subtle way to wear Halloween even to work.

STORY TIME: My Paranormal Experience 👻

Hello there spooks!

So, it's halloween season and I feel like it's a perfect time to talk about horror stories, ghost and paranormal stuff.
I consider myself someone who really believes in ghosts, spirits and energies. I'd love to go explore a haunted place and I enjoy listening to others' paranormal experiences.
I wouldn't say I've had way too many of these experiences other than hearing noises or voices every now then then. Especially when I was little. I truly believe there was something in the house we used to live in. My sister and I would hear noises when we were alone and I remember seeing the kitchen lights turning on and off one night when no one was there.

But, the thing I wanna share with you guys is something I still remember clearly, I'm not sure how old I was tho, around 6, maybe?
I remember I used to see this guy, he was tall and had dark skin. He was wearing worn out, ripped jeans and a red plaid shirt. I never really talked to him, and he never talked to me but he was there, randomly staring a us (me and my sister) when we were playing and stuff; he did smile every now and then.
I don't remember being afraid... or calm! To me it was just a random guy who sometimes was in the house, and sometimes outside of it. I don't remember when I stopped seeing him, maybe it was once we moved out~ Idk.

Years later talking about all the noises we used to hear in that house, this guy came to the conversation and well, there was never a guy like that living or working there and, from the way I described him, my sister used to see that same guy too! And, as it happened with me, they never talked to each other. It was a little creepy hearing that because that meant it wasn't part of my imagination. I don't know why we never mention anything before~

Then I learned that many, maaaany years ago, there was a cemetery where that house was built so... ghost maybe?

There you have it, my short and probably biggest paranormal experience (If I can call it that). If you have any experience or story to share, feel free to leave it in the comments. I'd love to read!!

Tasting Halloween (And fall) food 💀🍂

Hello Spooks! October is here and as some of you already know, it is my fav month of the year! Halloween is finally everywhere. I usually try to live and breathe Halloween as much as I can but this year, I feel like I'm a lot busier so I haven't been able to plan much.
Anyways, I still wanted to share a few halloween related things around here. I've been trying to find some seasonal snacks. It's a little sad to say I haven't been that lucky. It's not that easy to find stuff besides candy~
Here are some of the Halloween (and why not, Fall) foods and snacks I've had so far:

💀 Krispy Skremes. It's well known that Krispy Kreme has themed donuts every season. Halloween is never an exception. It is one thing I have to try every year. For some reason, they decided to go for Sesame Street this year. Yup, I'm not too sure why. Even tho they are really cute and all, I have to say I was a little disappointed. I chose Count Von Count because well, it's a vampire. I believe it was blueberries.

💀 Halloween Rice Krispies. I've been asked What's halloween about them? Not much, to be honest. Only the packaging and some purple and orange sprinkles. But, they are fun to eat during this season.

💀 Punguinos Halloween. Pinguinos are pretty much the same as the Hostess Cup Cakes. Last year they came out with a Zombie version (which was green and orange) and this year we have a purple one. They taste the same, the only differences are the colors, packaging and size. This are slightly smaller.

🍂 Starbucks Pumpkin Latte. This is a every year tradition for me. As soon as Fall is here, I'll drink the pumpkin Latte non-stop. In a way, everything pumpkin feels like Halloween to me so, yeah. I'm always looking forward to have this drink. It's a classic!

That's all I have for now. I'm not including chocolate because that's kinda common. Let me know if there's something else out there I could try. Hopefully I'll make a second post on this.

The Halloween Tag

Hello Spooks!
I found a fun Halloween tag online and I /knew/ I had to do it. I. Just. Had. To. You all know how much I love my halloween. I actually found two tags but some of the questions were very similar so I made one out of the two. This one is kinda similar to the Halloween Questionnaire I did a few weeks ago.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed answering it. Enough said, let's get to the tag!

1. What's your favorite horror movie?
If I have to choose just one, Shutter (Thai Version)

2. What's your favorite Halloween movie?
The Nightmare Before Christmas, BeetleJuice, The wiches. I know those are not scary but for some reason, I really enjoy watching them on Halloween season. Kinda like when they show Christmas movies on TV.

3. Favorite scary video game?
I mostly play games online so they might not be as popular but I really enjoyed The Cat Lady and Dungeon Nightmares.

4. Favorite scary story?
Hitori Kakurembo (aka creepy hide and seek)

5. Favorite Halloween decorations?
Everything that can make a room look like a Haunted House.

6. Favorite candy?
There are these pumpkin shaped chocolates filled with peanut butter I always buy during Halloween season (kinda like Resse's). I just love them!

7. Favorite halloween/fall scent?
Pumpkin Spice!!!!!

8. 1-10, how much do you enjoy Halloween?
I like to live and breathe Halloween so, 20? LOL

9. If you were in a horror movie, how far do you think you would get? (Five minutes, halfway, all the way to the end credits…?)
It'd depend on the movie. If it was a serial killer kind of movie I think I'd make it halfway, maybe? If it was a ghost movie I'd make it to the end. Hehe.

10. What’s your first memory of Halloween?
I remember celebrating Halloween at school when I was a little girl. It's weird cuz I don't really remember having big Halloween celebrations when I was that young.

11. What’s your favorite Halloween memory?
I have many good ones. When we were younger my sister and I planned a Halloween dinner (on Halloween) with my grandparents at their house. There's also that time when I organized a costume dinner/party with activities and stuff at my house and well, all those fun times when the Halloween gang was reunited to do themed activities all October long. Those were the happy times!

12. Have you always been a Halloween lover?
I can't remember exactly when my love for halloween started but by the time I started watching Sabrina the teenage Witch, I was already loving witches, magic and Halloween. So I think it started at a young age.

13. Best Halloween costume you’ve had?
Zombie bride!

14. Worst Halloween costume you’ve had?
I've had many improvised last minute ones that could make it to that list.

15. How do you get into the Halloween spirit?
I decorate my room (or the house) once October starts, and I try to have something Halloween-ish every day of the month. (horror movies, themed food or candies, activities, go to places, etc)

16. What’s one unusual thing that you’re afraid of?
Aliens! (maybe is not that weird tho)

17. Last but not least, do you believe in ghosts?
Yes, I do believe in ghosts and everything paranormal

WHICH IS SCARIER:

Vampires or zombies?
Zombies

Ghosts or zombies?
Ghosts

Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?
Creepy Clowns

Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers or Leatherface?
Leatherface.

And that is it for this tag. My favorite tag so far. Feel free to do the tag yourself or share with me your favorite thing to do on Halloween down below!

Halloween Questionnaire!

Hello spooks! My friend Tomi told me about this Halloween Questionnaire she was doing and, we knew I'd have to answer it too. There are many Halloween tags going around sns so, it's always fun to be a part of them.
Let's do this!

1. Do you believe in ghosts? Have you seen one?
I do believe in ghosts. I've seen one when I was a little girl. I never told anyone until I was older and apparently, my sister saw the same man too. I still remember how he looked like.

2. Favorite candy?
Chocolate

3. What did you dress up as when you were a kid?
I remember I had this Devil costume I loved because it had a cute skirt. i also remember a witch/pumpkin(?) costume.

parties

5. Have you ever carved a pumpkin?
Yup. Not as often as I'd like but, I have.

6. Worst thing you’ve ever gotten trick-or-treating?
I don't remember. I didn't go trick-or-treating much when I was a kid~~

7. Best costume you’ve ever seen?
It's hard to choose one! I've seen great ones.

8. Favorite ‘Halloween’ monster?
Witches!

9. Favorite thing you’ve dressed up as?
I'd say Zombie bride.

10. What are you dressing up as this year if you’re dressing up? What would you dress up as if you aren’t?
I usually plan my costumes ahead but, for some reason I didn't plan anything this year. I don't have that much time to plan something too elaborated now so, we'll see!

11. Do you like going to haunted houses?
Yes!!

12. Haunted woods?
I'd love to but with a group of friends

13. Ever worked in/hosted a haunted house/wood?
Sadly, no. But I would really like to go.

18. What are your plans for this Halloween?
Honestly? this month has been changing my plans a lot so, I have no idea.

19. Have you ever played with a Ouija Board?
Nope. I won't deny I'm curious but I don't think I'd do it.

20. Least favorite thing about Halloween?
That is a one day thing~

21. Have you ever played Bloody Mary?
Nope.

22. In a zombie apocalypse what is your weapon of choice?
I'd love an axe or machete but thay are probably too heavy for me.

23. You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?
Depends on what kind of horror movie. I think I'd be one of the first to die... or killer maybe? LOL

24. If you could have a spooky Halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), what would you pick?
Black cat.

25. Favorite Halloween/Scary movie?
I love The Witches as a Halloween movie. I know it's not scary but I really enjoy watching it.

Bonus Question: Planning on going to any haunted attractions this year?
Like I said before, it's hard to know what I'll be doing this Halloween. My plans keep changing as the month go by. I'd love to go to haunted attractions tho.

That is it for this questionnaire. I really enjoy answering them. Halloween lovers, feel free to answer it yourself of pick your favorite question and share it down below. I'd love to read your answers!!

☠ My Halloween Favorites ☠

Hello spooks!
Well, my favorite month is over (again) and it just flew by!
I gotta say this year my Halloween month wasn't as intense as ther years~ since so many things changed last year, there was no Halloween gang this year~ And these past few weeks were SO crazy busy.

I know I skipped some many monthly faves before but this one is the one I can not forget. So, let's take a look:

☠ You all know how much I love to have my Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks as soon as October starts but something I absolutely loved this year was the Franken Frappuccino. I saw it by accident and it was only available for a couple of days (from oct. 28 - 31) so, I was lucky. It is a mint-chocolate frappuccino, definitely yummy!

☠ I found and made a few Halloween-ish sweets. Mostly Jell-O. And as every year, I like to find and try all the holiday related snacks. I feel this year I didn't have those many tho.

☠ "Care for a bite?" napkins. I am so in love with them! I gotta say that out of the stuff I bought this year, these are my favorites. Aren't they super cool?

☠ Halloween goodies! They always make me so happy! Halloween is like my Christmas!!

And...this is it! I know there's not much to it this year but, like I said, this Halloween was a bit different than others.

Hope you all had a wonderful and scary Halloween!

My Halloween Decoration.

Hello guys!
Like every year, once October starts I take out my Halloween decoration. I always used to start the year with a Halloween decorated room but, this year, after thinking a little about it, I turned my room ecoration into a house decoration. Just as we do for Christmas, I change some things at home to make it my own little haunted space.

It's totally different to see my Halloween stuff around the house, when it was in my room it looked as if it was so many things and now that everything is in a bigger space I feel like I need to keep buying more stuff for next year. Bwahaha!
BEWARE OF PHOTO SPAM!

I wanted to put a lot more outside but, having two cars parking there everyday doesn't let me do much...I just have a few things out there.
On both sides of the door I hanged something. One side has a Autumn wreath (that was on the door first) and on the other side there's a funny looking pumpkin.

I put my old Welcome carpet by the door...It does look too old now tho~ time to change it!
And on the door, I have the my Dracula (or is it a monster?) door bell...not sure exactly how it's called... I bought it last year and I think it looks good there!

Once you enter the house you see a bloody hand print on the mirror, with some old cloth, a witch hat that was one of the gifts I recieved last year. Also bought some black fake roses and on both sides, I have my skull hand candle holders with my bleeding candles. I wanted to buy those candles last year but I couldn't. This year I couldn't resist!
I also hanged some pictures around it.

This has to be one of my favorite parts of the house so far.

Let's move to the living room.
I kinda wanted to make it my "witch place" where all the potions, books, stones, etc are at.
I loved how the table end up looking with the pumpkins, little potions, candle, etc. The lace-ish mat is new. It was super cheap and it looks great!

We have this kind of "end table" where I put some books, eyeballs, a rat, etc. Then again, some stuff a witch could use to work on some potions.

On the wall behind that table are more pictures. some creepy photos that change faces and more drawings made by the sister.

On the other side of the living room I have some halloween figurines, some of them are actually kinda cute.
And yeah, more pictures.

And sitting all over the place, I have the little Halloween furry friends!

Whithout noticing, I started collecting Haloween glasses. I have enough for a mini reunion now!! So, I put them along with other witchy goodies such as bloody knife, more eyeballs, candles, etc.
That is between the living room and the dining room.

On the kitchen's door I put the baby bloody hand prints, so they can welcome everyone!

My dining room doesn't look too impressive yet, I feel like something's missing...anyways, we have the skull jar, some glasses and plates. Also the old skulls/polk dots mat.
Some thingies hanging on the wall as well and the new bloody foot prints. I wanted to put them on the floor somewhere to make them look more real I guess but, it was just not going to work.

And well, that's it! For now...hehe. I always keep buying and adding things so...maybe it'll be a little different by the end of the month.
How you guys decorate for Halloween?
