First Halloween pressies of the year! 👻

We're starting the best month of the year with some halloween / witchy pressies that I wanted to share with you as a way to officially start the spooky season.

The first gifts I'm gonna show you are not that recent, I received them back in August but I was saving them for Halloween season because they are super witchy.

First we have this super cool notebook that looks a lot like the Hocus Pocus book. It is made of fake leather which gives it a creepier look, hehe. Also, the brooch thingy is super cool. The pages inside are from recycled paper. I just love it so much! I think it'll make a perfect Halloween decoration piece but I also want to find a good way to use it. Any ideas?

Next is a silver moon charm. I think it gives strong witch vibes. The small ball thingy next to it kinda reminds me of a pendulum. They both glow in the dark.

Then, we have this purple "Hocus pocus" sign. For some reason I imagined it in my kitchen as soon as I received it so, it is now part of my kitchen halloween decor. I recevied this sign along with the trays last month.

Lastly, I received these 2 Nightmare before Christmas trays. Recently, Prichos came out with a very cute Nightmare before Christmas collection. I usually love classic Halloween colors and super creepy stuff but, for some reason, I love how they used pastel colors this time, hehe.
They are not that big but, they are perfect to put some snacks, cookies, small break in a very spooky yet cute way.

And well guys, this is it for this mini pressies haul. Let me know if you are getting ready for Halloween or if you started the month living and breathing halloween.

I'll see you next time~!! 🕷

Starbucks Halloween Bearista 🎃

Starbucks is my fav coffee place and we all know I go crazy during PSL season but, I don't really buy most of the things they come up with. Mostly because they run out of everything I like on the same day it's released!! It's crazy!

This year these cute bearista (love it) bears have been very popular. They've released different types for different occasions. Not long ago, my friend Ceci gave me one that works as a cup topper (not sure if that's the name tho) and it's just adorable!!

They released some cute Halloween mugs and tumblers but I never had the chance to see them... and, as soon as the pumpkin bearistas came out, some of my friends started sending me the pics and, I fell in love.

I was lucky enough to find it last week and I couldn't resist. It was the perfect treat after a booster COVID vaccine, along with a PSL.

Well deserved treat!

It is a bearista keychain of the bear dressed as a pumpkin holding a coffee. SO CUTE! It has a plastic hanger thingy and a green Starbucks tag strip. Everything is this kind of rubber plastic kind of material and, eve tho it's not super elaborated, the details are pretty nice.

The way to get them is throught the Starbucks Rewards card. You buy a venti drink and pay $99MXN. Dunno if they'll be available without the card.

Packaging was pretty simple tho. It would've been cool to have a Halloween themed box.

I don't think I'll use it as a key chain tho, I kinda want to have it as part of my coffee station (which is still under construction in a way) decoration, all year long.

I think that's it for this short post. I really wanted to share this cutie. Let me know if you got it or, if you'd like to get it.

See you next time~ 🎃

Salem Makeup "Moon Dust" Translucent Powder

Last product from Salem Makeup. It is the Moon Dust Translucent Powder. I usually like to go for a dewy look so honesty, I don't really use this type of products often. As you know, this product help you to set your makeup with a matte finish.

I've been trying to use it a little tho, because it came with the set of products I ordered and it'd be sad to waste it.

As the other products, the concept is all about magic. This one it the most simple out tof the 3 I recieved but it's still pretty and very clean looking.

I've been using a very small amount of the product, mostly on my T zone but the matte finish only lasts for a couple of hours. The powder is very, very soft and thin(?) and it doesn't have any scent to it.

And well, one thing I find a little annoying about this one is that it is way too messy to use!! Everytime I use it, I have powder flying everywehere!

Is there a technique you would like to share with me to properly use these type of products? I'd love to read! hehe

Salem Makeup "Ouija Evil Cat" Eyeshadow Palette

Here comes another product from Salem Makeup, and it is this Ouija board eyeshadow palette.
It is called Ouija Evil Cat and it coms with 35 different shimmers.

I've been trying some of the colors and they are very pigmented for shimmers. The box is a plastic box, nothing too fancy, but I like the fact that it seals perfectly. It doesn't come with a mirror or brushes.

What can I say about the concept of this palette? It is just too cool, we have the Ouija board on the outside, the instructions of how to use the board on the inside and a sticker that simulates the plaque.

The colors include some earthy shades, golds, purples, pinks and a white one. Surprisingly I didn't use to wear many pink eyeshadows but for a little over a month now, I've been loving them. So even tho I'm not used to wear some of these shades, I've been having fun playing with them. I still need to try some of them tho.

They are pretty pigmented and durablity wise, they are pretty good. The color looks nice throughout the day, but they crease at the end of it. I have to say I never apply eyeshadow primer so, that could be why.

I think this palette is great, is fun and it's also a cool thing to display. Annnnd, you get lots of quality shadows for a very good price.

Salem Makeup "Face Out" Makeup Remover

Not long ago I discovered a local makeup brand that had two of my favorite things in this world: Makeup and witchy vibes. I love everything magic related so, I had to buy some of their stuff. The brand is called Salem Makeup. I first found them on facabook and their service and attention was great, my package arrived in good conditions and the prices are really, really good.

The first prouct I wanna show you is their "Face Out" makeup remover.

You know I am not too adventurous when trying makeup removers and cleansers because most of them give me reactions. I'm really glad this one didn't. It contains sesame oil and it leaves the skin super soft after using it.

It has a liquid formula, slightly thick and with an oily finish. Honestly, it removes makeup easily, even waterproof mascara. It has a very soft scent that I don't really know how to describe. But it's not perfumey(?).

What I did was to apply some of the product, rub it on my face and then whipe it all with a cotton pad making sure I don't leave any makeup before washing my face. Like I said, it leaves the skin clean and super, duper soft.

As for the presentation, I freaking love it! It looks like a perfect bottle for potions, haha. I'm defo going to reuse it after I run out of it. Maybe even as a part of my Halloween decor.

I have other products to show you from this brand. Can't wait to share!

I'll link their facebook and Instagram in case you wanna check them out:

Something Wicked...

Earrings are one of my favorite accessories and, of course, I have special ones for my favorite time of the year. My sister gave me these last December and, I’ve used some of them before, but I’m finally using all of them this month.

They are from EyeCandy Accessories inc and it comes with 9 cute pairs including ghosts, pumpkins, bats, a cat on the moon, moons, spiders, spider webs, cats and gems.

What I like about them is that even tho they are Halloween accessories, they are not too flashy and they are easy to wear on daily basis. Not that I would mind if they were flashy… hehe. You know, it’s a subtle way to wear Halloween even to work.

STORY TIME: My Paranormal Experience 👻

Hello there spooks!

So, it's halloween season and I feel like it's a perfect time to talk about horror stories, ghost and paranormal stuff.
I consider myself someone who really believes in ghosts, spirits and energies. I'd love to go explore a haunted place and I enjoy listening to others' paranormal experiences.
I wouldn't say I've had way too many of these experiences other than hearing noises or voices every now then then. Especially when I was little. I truly believe there was something in the house we used to live in. My sister and I would hear noises when we were alone and I remember seeing the kitchen lights turning on and off one night when no one was there.

But, the thing I wanna share with you guys is something I still remember clearly, I'm not sure how old I was tho, around 6, maybe?
I remember I used to see this guy, he was tall and had dark skin. He was wearing worn out, ripped jeans and a red plaid shirt. I never really talked to him, and he never talked to me but he was there, randomly staring a us (me and my sister) when we were playing and stuff; he did smile every now and then.
I don't remember being afraid... or calm! To me it was just a random guy who sometimes was in the house, and sometimes outside of it. I don't remember when I stopped seeing him, maybe it was once we moved out~ Idk.

Years later talking about all the noises we used to hear in that house, this guy came to the conversation and well, there was never a guy like that living or working there and, from the way I described him, my sister used to see that same guy too! And, as it happened with me, they never talked to each other. It was a little creepy hearing that because that meant it wasn't part of my imagination. I don't know why we never mention anything before~

Then I learned that many, maaaany years ago, there was a cemetery where that house was built so... ghost maybe?

There you have it, my short and probably biggest paranormal experience (If I can call it that). If you have any experience or story to share, feel free to leave it in the comments. I'd love to read!!

Pumpkin Eyeshadow Palette | First impression |

So! Not long ago, I saw that Wet n Wild came out with a Halloween collection (besides the Fantasy makers one). This one was not only for costumes, you could actually use it for an everyday look. I was super excited when I got a message from one of the beauty consultants telling me they had it. So, of course I rushed to see what they got and... it was only the Fantasy makers line~ to be honest, I was very disappointed. Not only I wanted to get some products to try (and blog about) but, I also wanted to get some for my friends as Halloween pressies. I ended up buying other non-halloween related things but, that's for another blog.

Looking around, I found this Pumpkin Eyeshadow Palette. I'm pretty sure there must be something similar out there from another brand. Anyway, I had the idea to get halloween makeup and this seemed good enough so, I got it.
The brand is called Yachan Cosmetics, which souds Chinese to me.

Here's a quick first impression because, I haven't had the chance to test it properly.
I'm gonna start with the packaging because that was the first thing that caught my eye. Even tho it doesn't look too expensive it is pretty cute and Fall-ish. It has 4 pumpkins on the cover with black and gold deets. It has a magnetinc closure which I find great.

Once you open the palette you find 8 different eyeshadows, their names and a mirror. I like the fact that it doesn't come with an applicator because I'm pretty loyal to my own brushes so, I don't use them.
The colors are mostly warm, earthy colors. Those are usually the colors I reach for the most. It comes with 7 mattes and 2 shimmers.
Pigmentation wise they are good, especially the shimmers!

Let's move on to the swatches!

All in all, I like it! I feel it's something that, even tho it looks halloweenish, you can actually use it all year long.

Maybe I didn't get my Wet n Wild Halloween makeup but, I did find something appropriate for the season.

Tasting Halloween (And fall) food 💀🍂

Hello Spooks! October is here and as some of you already know, it is my fav month of the year! Halloween is finally everywhere. I usually try to live and breathe Halloween as much as I can but this year, I feel like I'm a lot busier so I haven't been able to plan much.
Anyways, I still wanted to share a few halloween related things around here. I've been trying to find some seasonal snacks. It's a little sad to say I haven't been that lucky. It's not that easy to find stuff besides candy~
Here are some of the Halloween (and why not, Fall) foods and snacks I've had so far:

💀 Krispy Skremes. It's well known that Krispy Kreme has themed donuts every season. Halloween is never an exception. It is one thing I have to try every year. For some reason, they decided to go for Sesame Street this year. Yup, I'm not too sure why. Even tho they are really cute and all, I have to say I was a little disappointed. I chose Count Von Count because well, it's a vampire. I believe it was blueberries.

💀 Halloween Rice Krispies. I've been asked What's halloween about them? Not much, to be honest. Only the packaging and some purple and orange sprinkles. But, they are fun to eat during this season.

💀 Punguinos Halloween. Pinguinos are pretty much the same as the Hostess Cup Cakes. Last year they came out with a Zombie version (which was green and orange) and this year we have a purple one. They taste the same, the only differences are the colors, packaging and size. This are slightly smaller.

🍂 Starbucks Pumpkin Latte. This is a every year tradition for me. As soon as Fall is here, I'll drink the pumpkin Latte non-stop. In a way, everything pumpkin feels like Halloween to me so, yeah. I'm always looking forward to have this drink. It's a classic!

That's all I have for now. I'm not including chocolate because that's kinda common. Let me know if there's something else out there I could try. Hopefully I'll make a second post on this.

October Photo Challenge

Day 1: Scary Face Selfie scary (Kinda?)

Day 2: Most Fav Part of Halloween Since it's hard to choose just one... I love the decoration, themed food and places, Halloween shopping, dressing up and of course, sharing all that with my friends. Just the whole spooky vibe during this time of the year. Bwahaha.

Day 3: Fav Decoration Haunted house/witch house kind of decor has to be one of my favorites. (Pic of part of my decoration form 2 years ago)

Day 4: Fav Halloween Treat Krispy Skremes!

Day 5: Harvest Moon

Day 6: Nature (I skipped this one...)

Day 7: Fav Halloween Clothing. I'm absolutely in love with this cute t-shirt my mom gave me a few days ago. It has Halloween words all over!

Day 8: Local Graveyard. I couldn't really visit the real local one so I decided to share our little front graveyard. (This pic is actually a few years old but I think it still works)

Day 9: Fav Spooky Book. Fav Spooky book. To be honest, I don't read much but the latest addition to my Halloween decor has a book and I love it! Still counts?

Day 10: Fav mug. Cuz witches need a nice mug too! Trying the green tea powder my friend Airi sent me with a spooky touch.

Day 11: Vintage Halloween

Day 12: Fav Halloween Shop.  Sadly there are not specialized Halloween stores here where I live, at least not that I know. But I do like to visit as many stores as I can as soon as the have Halloween stuff. I'd love to visit #SpiritHalloween someday tho! Even dollar stores.

Day 13: Friday 13. Happy Friday the the 13th!!

Day 14: Who's that in the background

Day 15: Halloween Haul Mini haul this time~

Day 16: Dawn or dusk (Skipped this one too...)

Day 17: Fav Halloween Artist I'm not sure if the is supposed to be artist as in illustrations and stuff. I know nothing about that but I do think George A. Romero can be considered an artist too. And, he was the sweetest when I met him.

Day 18: Indoor Decor Indoor decor. I think this pic is 2 or 3 years old.

Day 19: Craft / DIY Item. Even tho I've seen so many cool craft ideas online, I never get to recreate most of them. I'm not that good with crafts (despite what most people think). I made this super easy bat frame years ago, and I still have them.

Day 20:#FollowFriday.  I recently followed @halloweenhomemaker and since it's Halloween season I think it's appropriate. She has the coolest Halloween/horror decoration. I wish I could have my house like hers. So yeah, go check her out!
And also, quick movie suggestion: It Follows. Just because today's photo made me think of that movie~ random, I know.

Day 21: Fav Halloween Movie

Day 22: Halloween Bath

Day 23: Fav Fall Activity. One of my favorites has to be trying all the seasonal drinks, desserts and snacks!

Day 24: Best Local Halloween House (skipped this one too...)

Day 25: Outdoor Decor. Not many people decorate their houses for Halloween and I gotta say, this year I didn't go crazy with my decor so, I'm sharing one of the favorites (found online). This witch house/fall style is great! It looks so cozy! I wish I could have something like this at home.

Day 26: Fav Halloween related Animal. Black cats!

Day 27: #OOTD. Do you want to be part of my spell?

Day 28: Pumpkins

Day 29: Pet costume. Back to when TinkerBell didn't hate to get dressed~

Day 30: Costume. TBT to my zombie bride costume just because...I like it!

Day 31: Trick or Treat. So sad the month is over~ Until next year. Happy Halloween!!
