"Spooky" Black Velvet

Hi, hi!

Even though I'm not good at all with nail art, I always /try/ to do something themed when Halloween time comes. I haven't had much time to do something great with them so, I came up with this super easy and quick design. I know it's not something too cool but hey! I tried~ hehe.

Basically what I really wanted to use was the Velvet Effect nail polish I bought a few months ago and never used it until now. It is Amourett Velvet Effect "Spooky" (MQ169)
I thought the name of the nail polish would be perfect for the Halloween month.

What I like about it is that it gives an opaque effect more than a velvet-ish(?) one. It dries super fast but sadly, it doesn't last too long, it cracks after a day or two so I have to keep applying coats to make it look decent. Too keep the Velvet effect avoid applying a top coat.
Along with this black color, I used a purple one, purple and black make a good Halloween combination! I kinda made a stich wannabe thing on one of my nails and used small black stars on the other.

So, these are not perfect nails but at least they are Holiday themed... lol.
I'll try to make something a little better next time~~~~~~~~~

Smurf hair~! Temporary Hair Dye using Hair Chalks.

Hello sunshines!

After almost a month waiting I finally got some products I ordered from a local brand called "Arabela." This is my first time trying their proucts but I had some great comments about them from some of my friends so, I'm giving it a try.

It works like Avon, you check their stuff in a catalogue and order! I noticed they have really low prices and tons of products.

I was especially excited about trying these chalks that are supposed to dye your hair temporary so I orderd them in 3 different colors: Purple, Blue and Pink. I always wanted to dye my hair pink like Miss A's Jia for a while now but I can't really go for it because of work and stuff so, I thought this would be a fun way to do have that look whenever I wanted to.
They came in 3 separate white boxes with instructions inside. They look like regular chalks and are very pigmented. I totaly recommend using gloves while doing this because I made one big mess and everything around me was blue.

Even though the pink doesn't look too pink, I'm hoping it'll look lighter on my hair.

Instructions are very simple:
* On humid hair, color the section you want with the chalk
* Wait until it dries and style as wanted.
You can use some spray to seal(?) it better and make it last longer.
* It'll go away once you wash your hair.
The color looks stronger on lighter hair.

I once tried to dye my hair using regular chalks and they did added some color to my hair but it looked dry and damaged. I was hoping it'd be different using these chalks because well, they are made for hair but I have to say I was kinda disappointed on them. The results look pretty similar to the ones I got with regular chalks puls, my hands, face and even my clothes get slightly blue as they have contact with my hair.
Good thing is, they won't damage my hair and it looks good on pictures~! Lol, at least better than in person.
At least, that's my opinion, other people think it doesn't look that bad.

I've only tried the blue chalk, I was too lazy to create a super colorful and rainbow-ish style. It takes too long! But I'll make sure to upload some pics of the other colors in here or Instagram once I try them.

 Bye for now!
