Apartment 07 | My coffee station! |

I can't remember the last time I wrote an apartment update. A lot has changed around my house but it's been a very slow process, not only because of the money, but also because I don't focus 100% on my projects because of all the million work related things I always have to do.

Something I really wanted to do was to beautify and pretty much put together a decent coffee station. And since I recently finished it (finaaally!) I wanted to share with you guys. And I know, I've shared it in other SNS already but, not here. So, we're doing this, hehe.

Sadly I didn't take good before and after pics to share but, there is a video on my youtube channel with the whole process, I'll link it here in case you wanna check it out.

Let's go back to when I first moved into the apartment, back then I used a small bookshelf thingy as my coffee station but, it wasn't big enough to fit my coffee machines and we didn't really have space to prepare anything. It didn't look bad but, it was just not working.

So, I decided to move it to my old desk. Since I don't really have an office or specific working space yet, my desk was just working as a table to throw random things, books and other materials and, since it was in my living-dining area, it always looked super messy! Thing was, the desk was already old, it was black and had this (now) dirty and washed off sakura sticky paper. It wasn't my favorite thing to look at.

Screenshot of how my coffee station looked at the beginning. As you can see, it doesn't look nice. Plus, I didn't really like how the black base looked.

I started by painting the base of the desk white. It took me a while because it's metal and I used random white paint. It needed lots of coats to get an even color but, it was worth it.
After painting it, I bought a new sticky paper. This time I chose a wood-like one so it could match a wooden shelf I wanted to put above to display some of the many mugs I have and change them according to the season.

This is the desk/table after painting it and putting the sticky paper. I do think it changed a lot. (P.S. my walls were not painted yet!!)

After painting it and stuff, I took the longest break ever. Mostly because I needed help with the shelf I wanted to put, I didn't have the drill to do it. But, not long ago, I received one of my dad's drills and I decided to go ahead and do it! It was not my first time using a drill but, I always did it with my dad's help. Even tho my wall was a bit damaged and I had to try different plug sizes, I think it looked pretty decent.

Current state of my Coffee Station ♡

In the end, I'm really happy with how it looks. of course, I will change it in the future cuz I'd love to buy another shelf or table to use instead of the desk. But I did put a lot of love and time into it, especially because I used the experience and information I got from my dad when we used to do this things together. I think he'd be proud. ♡ I am proud.

I'll show you some close ups to talk about the things I decided to put in there.

The table and the shelf are the parts that have more decoration and things in general.

On the table, I keep my coffee machines: The black one is an Oster espresso machine my bestie gave me before moving and, the red one is a Necafé Dolce Gusto coffee maker my mom gave me years ago. It's not the newest version but, it works pretty well. I also decided to put a cup holder with some plastic mugs I don't really use. I thought they looked cute.

Next to the espresso machine I have a basket that came with a Christmas pressie I received a couple of years ago. There I keep some coffee. Below it, there's some sugar.

Between the table and the shelf, I put some decoration. From left to right, we have a wooden sign that says "coffee is my cardio", next to it is a wall sticker (that I'm sure will ruin the paint if I ever remove it) I bought right when I moved and saved it until now. They are both from Prichos. On the right, I framed a cute print I bought a couple of years ago at an anime convention. I don't really know the artist tho. Next to it, it's my Starbucks Halloween bearista that came out last year.

Close up to the print so you can see the cute deets. I loved it as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to use it for my coffee station. I believe I bought it before moving.

Moving on to the shelf. Here I have some cute cups, reusable cups tea and decoration. I'm planning to change its decoration as the seasons change.

I wanted to display my Bleach cup cuz i love it way too much, the sakura mug is from Miniso and was a birthday pressie from the bestie. The container on the back is part of a set by Haus. It was also a bday pressie from my sister. In this one, I keep tea bags. Lastly, I keep my mug lids here too. One's mom's and the other one's mine. They are both from Ale Hop.

Moving on to the center of the shelf, I have a small, plastic tray from JOI with some British tea cans on it. These cans were a souvenir from my besties. I also keep my Sailor Moon Magic Block because she's in a mug, it's perfect! Behind her is my old, pink french press from Mumuso. And you can see more reusable cups, I have many~~~~

And, on the right I have a sakura mug from Dokkoi that was also a pressie from the bestie and a cute tea pot from the same set I mentioned earlier. Lastly, I framed a napkin I saved from a café back in Spain. Some cafés had this type of napkins with different quotes and I just loved them!

Close up to the napkin that says "Low battery, I need caffeine" hehe.

Lastly we have the lower part. There not much going here. It has two divisions where I keep napkins, another french press, a whisk, paper cups and plates and a cute cat tea set.

And next to it, there's this gong that has been in my life since forever. It was part of my parents' house decoration and I took it with me this year. I couldn't really find a good place for it but I don't want to let go of it so, I put it here for now.

I think that is it for my coffee station guys, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I hope I can share more of these projects with you all. I'll remember to take some pics next time tho, hehe.

See you next time~! ♡

Apartment 07 | Dokkoi Kitchen Haul |

Welcome to another kitchen haul, hehe. This time we have a Dokkoi haul and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all!

Dokkoi is a Japanese store that sells a bit of everything (kitchen, stationery, beauty products, presents, decoration, etc) for very affordable prices. I feel it's a bit like Daiso but in a smaller version.

My bestie is a big fan and I feel like I'll become one too! I haven't been to their physical stores but I have a big wish list on their website and this is my first official purchase ever.

I spent $500MX for 8 items which I think it's pretty good. I'll link the video version of this haul in case you want to check the prices of each item.

So, let's start with the haul!!

First we have a pair of cooking chopsticks. I first saw this at my friend's house and thought they were pretty cool. And even tho I don't cook often (yet), when I do, I like to cook Asian food the most so, I'm sure I'll use them!

They are super long and apparently heat resistant. They only had them in one color, this light brown shade.

Even tho they are made out of wood, they have a silicone tip.

The next one is a measuring cup. Even tho I already have measuring spoons, I wanted to have a cup cuz I do believe they make things easier! I really like the red details on it, but since it's plastic, I think the measurements will wash off with time.

Kitchen scissors! I know how useful these can be but I didn't want a random, boring pair. That's why I chose this pink, bright ones!

They are big and the quality feels pretty nice!

The thing worth mentioning about these scissors is the flower print. I feel it makes them unique.

I honestly think this is one of the least exciting objects in this haul but one of the most useful... A vegetable peeler.

It is simple but I liked it because it's slightly holographic (even tho it doesn't really show in the pic) and well, it's pink.

Then we have a heart sponge holder. I think having one is a cute way to store your sponge and make you sink look prettier at the same time.

It is a white, plastic holder with a cute heart shape. I've seen other cute holders on AliExpress and of course they were way cheaper but, I'm still waiting for things I ordered around this time last year so... yeah.

It comes with a suction cup so you can stick(?) the holder to your sink.

Now, this is one of my favorite things out of this haul, my ice cream, ice cream scoop. Isn't it super cute? I love ice cream so this is something I really needed to buy.

They only had it in one color tho, pink. Which was perfectly fine for me.

We're almost done guys and I left the most beautiful items for last. They are all made of ceramic and the style is a lot more traditional.
To be honest, I'm not someone who loves traditional stuff, but that changes when it comes to Japanese traditional things. They are just so, so precious and the quality is amazing.

Guys, I finally got my own sake jar!! You konw your girl loves her sake but I didn't have a proper jar. I've seen many beautiful ones online but, for whatever reason I haven't bought any. This one is really simple but still pretty. No I want to get matching cups! Sadly they didn't have any atm.

Then we have a gorgeous cooking pot!! This was the "most expensive" item I got, and even tho I'm not sure what can I coon in this one, I'm really happy I got it.

It has cute flowers painted on the lid. They look super delicate and pretty. I just can't~

What else can I say? I love it.

And the last thing is more of a birthday pressie I recieved earlier this year. I wanted to include it here because it is also from Dokkoi.

It is my sakura tea cup. You know I love sakura flowers and I wanted this cup for such a long time. To be honest, I think I've only had tea once, I mostly use it to drink my sake. 😅

🌸

And, that is everything you guys. Now that I look at the things I got, I feel like my kitchen will have a bit of everything: pink things, kawaii stuff and traditional japanese things. (Cuz yeah, there are ceramic plates I really want to get)
But, it's ok as long as I like them, hehe.

See you soon!!

Apartment 07 | Collective Kitchen Haul |

Welcome to my first kitchen haul!

What I'm going to show you here are random kitchen items I've been collecting over the years. Some of them were presents, and others were things I bought and never used. Now that I've been slowly organizing, packing and getting rid of stuff, I bumped into them again.

Not all of them are essentials but, I'll give them a good use and... they are really cute!

Let's take a look!

The first thing is a heart shaped shopping board I bought years ago, it was part of the Valie's Day merch I found at this type of dollar store called "Prichos", you can usually find them at Walmart. It is a plastic chopping board but doesn't feel too cheap. Hehe.

These next items were also part of the Valie's Day merch so, I believe I bought them around the same time I got the chopping board. They are heart shaped measuring spoons.

They were also from "Prichos" and came in a set of 4. They all have different colors and different sizes.

The material feels a little cheap tho. Like regular plastic but, you get what you pay for. One thing is true, they are really cute.

Then we have another chopping board. I bought this one back in Spain. It is a glass board with unicorns all over it. It was from a store called Tedi. I loved this store, you can find a lot of things for 1€ but they also have more expensive items. They mostly have house and decoration stuff.

How cute is this?

Speaking of Spain, this cute set of black & white espresso cups and plates were a gift I recieved when I was there. Y'all know how much I love my coffee but I haven't really used them yet. I do have an espresso machine that my bestie gave me tho. They would go well together!!

I believe this is the only item I've actually used from this haul. I got these bunny popsicle molds at a loungewear store... yup. It was so weird, but I couldn't resist and I had to buy them. Plus, I love popsicles and ice cream! I used to make flavored water posicles years ago but I suddenly stopped.

You can make 4 posicles

Look at that kawaii bunny face!

You might have seen this before in a pressies post. It is my official "grown up" knife! Or at least, it makes me feel like a real grown up, haha. It is from MainStays which I know you can find at Walmart. The color is really nice and it is not heavy at all, I also like the fact that it comes with a cover thingy.

Lastly we have round placemats I got from Miniso and they are the cutest things ever!

Even tho they had other designs, I had to go for the sakura and neko one. It's very me! Haha. Plus, they are pink.

They come with 2 placemats each. I kinda want to buy 4 of everything for now, so I ended up buying 2 sets.

And, that is it for this haul guys. It's funny because lately, I find myself excited about buying kitchen stuff so, expect to see more. I might have more super cheap hauls than fancy ones because even if I like fancy stuff... I can't afford it! LOL.
One thing is for sure, I'll be sharing cute things because I want my kitchen to be a pretty one.

Also, if you want to see me talking about these items, click on the video down below!

See you next time!!
