My 3 favorite foundations: From full to light coverage

Hey there dollies!

I don't know if this could count as a part of the monthly favorites but, I was kinda looking forward to share with you the 3 foundations I've been loving lately. I've been using them for a while now and what I like about them is I can reach for them depending on the finish and coverage I want.
I'll show you what I use when I need a full coverage, a lighter one and a very light coverage with a nice, natural glow. Cuz yeah, I'm into that dewy look.

We'll talk about a foundation, a BB Cream and a CC Cream...Here we go!!

WARNING: Sorry in advance for the bad looking pictures, I pretty much took them when I was doing my makeup in the morning so, you'll see bad hair and all that. Light can also change cuz I took them on different days at different hours. My hair looks too dark! LOL

On those days when I need a full coverage I always go for the e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation with SPF 15. I'm using the shade "Porcelain" (83111).
This is a very lightweight foundation that lasts the whole day. Originally, it says it'll give you a matte finish but, it gives you more of  a dewy look without feeling sticky or thick on the skin. I wouldn't recommend it if you have oily skin cuz I'm sure it'll look a bit shiny at the end of the day but other than that, I think it is a great foundation. Price is also very affordable.
I gave one to my mom as well and she loved it!

Left is no makeup face and Right is my face after applying the foundation (and some concealer)

For a medium coverage I go for the Killing Me Zombie BB Cream with SPF+ PA+++. It claims to have 3 functions: Whitening, UV-block and Wrinkle Care.
At first I only got it because of the whole Zombie concept and honestly, I didn't like it but, as I used it a little more, it grew on me.
The formula is a little thicker than the e.l.f. one and the color is has a slight gray tone to it but, as it sets on the skin, it matches my skin tone. It doesn't have a matte finish, I'd say it gives you a dewy look as well.
Durability is great and even tho the formula is not lightweight, it doesn't feel thick on the skin. The only thing I don't love about it is that it feels a little sticky.
I love BB Creams and I'd say this is not my ultimate favorite but, it is still a good product.

same here, left no makeup face and right, face after the bb cream.
As you can see, the color is a little lighter than the e.l.f one

And, for those days when I'm having a good-looking skin and I can use something with a light coverage, I reach for the y.e.t Trick Play CC Coushion with SPF50+/PA+++. It's supposed to have a whitening and ant-wrinkle effects. The one I have is on the shade "21 Milky Beige". This is also my first time trying cushion foundations and a CC Cream so yeah, I was very excited! I was actually thinking about making a separate post about it but, I'll include everything here.
What I noticed from this brand is that they have a good variety of colors. Some were more yellow based, others more tanned and lighter shades (like the one I got).
First of all, the packaging is really nice (kinda big tho). It looks all clean in white, orange and silver. It comes with a nice sponge thingy and a lid to separate the sponge from the product. The color looks slightly darker on the cushion but once it's applied on the skin it looks lighter. Then again, this one gives you a healthy, dewy look so, I don't think it'd work for oily skin.
Durability is good, but I don't know if there are better ones out there considering this s my first CC cushion.
I usually apply some concealer before using this one to cover my red spots. I love how it makes my skin look as if it had a natural glow.
It has a very soft flower scent to it but is not something I can't deal with.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is the sponge. I usually use my beauty blender after applying the product with the sponge. It helps me to blend it a lot better.

Left no makeup. Right CC Cushion

Also, when I want to have a matte finish, I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in "Sandstorm" (004). I've been using it for years and I still love it!

As for concealer I've been loving the TonyMoly Cover Pot Concealer Face Mix in 01 "Natural Beige". This one is a little thick but has a great coverage. (And I think it is really cute!)

This is it for now, I hope some of you find this helpful in a way, this could change as I keep trying products but these are the faves at the moment.
Let me know if you have some faves I could try!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Inspired Makeup

Hello vamps!

So, not long ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer celebrated its 20th anniversary. I don't think you guys know but I was (and still am) a big fan of the show so I was very, very excited to see the cast reunited for an Entertainment Weekly photoshoot. They all look great! (Spike OMG! ♥)
Growing up I tried to copy many of her looks with no big success~ So since my obsession with Buffy is coming back I decided to try her makeup from season 6. Which was also one of my favorites.
And even tho I think I look more like Tara, I liked the result. It is nice for an everyday look.

this is the look I wanted to create
NOTE: Don't mind my awkward posing and weird serious expression...

♥ Face:
° TonyMoly Cover Pot Concealer Face Mix 01 Light Beige
° Elf Flawless Finish Foundation Porcelain (83111)
° KleanColor Ms. Chick Rose (2087)

♥ Eyes:
° L.A. Colors Matte Eyeshadow Mattifying (CEM481) As a base
° L.A. Colors Tea Time (EP45) for the gold touch
° H&M Volume mascara Black

♥ Brows:
° Nitro 24H Eyebrow Pencil
° Tanako Cool Brow Mascara Light

♥ Lips:
° She Makeup Watermelon 09
° Avon Color Trend Pop Orange
I mixed these two because I didn't have the perfecr shade. My lippies were too light or too dark for this color.

And, this is it for this look! Ah! I feel like re-watching the series all over again!

💄 Collective haul: Beauty and FOREVER21 💝

Hello dollies!
I can't remember the last time I made a haul...I don't even think there is any haul so far this year so, even tho it is a small one, I want to make the first haul of this month. I mean, I have been buyin a lot of things lately but somehow I end up forgetting to share them in here. Let's do this before I forget...#hohoho
First I'm gonna show you a the makeup/beauty stuff I got:

Here comes the e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation and yes, I know I already talked about it in my last favorites post but the one I got first was a little too dark for my skin tone so I'm gonna save that one for my mom because I'm sure it'll suit her a lot better. This time I got a lighter shade: Porcelain (83111) and I definitely think this one will match my skin more. Like I said, it is a great foundation, really lightweight. I really, really liked it. It has SPF 15 which is a big plus!

Next is something I find absolutely cute. Is the Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Rose. I remember seeing this brand before and I always wanted to buy their stuff because it looks so pretty but I never did until now! Super excited to try this one. It is a blush that comes with a mix of colors and "multi reflective pearls."
I love the whole concept of this product. It's all about feeling happy when you apply it because apparently it promotes the feeling of happines by mimicking the effect on endorphines and preventing the effect of stress on the skin. Plus it has this really pretty metallic pink package and hearts all over it. You got me Happy Booster, I'm in love with you!
It also comes with a mirror and a cute small brush. Oh, and a slight flower scent to it.

It doesn't look too pigmented tho~

AVON Clear Skin Pore Penetrating scrub. I've talked about it many times before because even tho Avon is not a High end brand, I keep coming back to this product. I love how it feels on the skin, it really gives you a fresh feeling after using it.

And lastly, is a lip balm I got from Sally Beauty. It is the Pucker Ups Lip Balm in Watermelon. I think this one is like...Sally's brand. Idk. But I loved it when I saw it and it was reaaaally cheap. The smell is great and they have other 2 o 3 different smells. Lip balms are always handy because I always have dry and chapped lips.

And now, here are the things I got from FOREVER21

I'm way to happy with my new makeup organizer! I've been meaning to buy one for  long time now but I was kinda comparing prices and stuff. It was very unexpected to find it there and...for a great price. It actually comes with 2 pieces that you can use together or separately. I think it is a nice way to organize yout everyday products in such a clean way. I wouldn't say everything fits in there because I know there a bigger ones but, it is not bad at all!
The top part comes with 6 spaces with different sizes, and the lower part has 3 drawers.

And finally...a hair brush. Yeah, I didn't need it but I loved it. And, it was a new item. It is silver and pink and it has this cute pic of a Caticorn! (you know, a cat/unicorn) and says, I'm a Caticorn. Cute huh? Plus it has this cute clear bubble thing with lots of silver stars floating around. I just had to get it.

And that is it for this little collective haul. Let me know if you'd like to see more of these type of blogs in the future and if you'd like me to actually make a separate post about any of the products mentioned.
Until next time!
