Salem Makeup "Face Out" Makeup Remover

Not long ago I discovered a local makeup brand that had two of my favorite things in this world: Makeup and witchy vibes. I love everything magic related so, I had to buy some of their stuff. The brand is called Salem Makeup. I first found them on facabook and their service and attention was great, my package arrived in good conditions and the prices are really, really good.

The first prouct I wanna show you is their "Face Out" makeup remover.

You know I am not too adventurous when trying makeup removers and cleansers because most of them give me reactions. I'm really glad this one didn't. It contains sesame oil and it leaves the skin super soft after using it.

It has a liquid formula, slightly thick and with an oily finish. Honestly, it removes makeup easily, even waterproof mascara. It has a very soft scent that I don't really know how to describe. But it's not perfumey(?).

What I did was to apply some of the product, rub it on my face and then whipe it all with a cotton pad making sure I don't leave any makeup before washing my face. Like I said, it leaves the skin clean and super, duper soft.

As for the presentation, I freaking love it! It looks like a perfect bottle for potions, haha. I'm defo going to reuse it after I run out of it. Maybe even as a part of my Halloween decor.

I have other products to show you from this brand. Can't wait to share!

I'll link their facebook and Instagram in case you wanna check them out:

Avon True Color Multi-Finish Eyeshdow Quad | Review & Swatches |

I don't know if you guys remember but years ago I used to buy Avon a lot, especially their lipsticks and nail polishes but I never got to try their eyeshadows.

Not long ago, I recieved this quad as a pressie from my friend Ceci and I have to say, I am impressed with their quality.

They are the Avon True Color Multi-Finish Eyeshdow Quad in "Chocolate Sensation." Checking their site, they have many more quads with different complementary shades.
They have the perfect size to carry around with you and they come with 4 shades to create looks for both, day and night.

They come with numbers to give you an idea of how and where to apply them to create a certain look but I think you can experiment as you want and even mix them with other colors.

It comes with 3 shimmers: Shimmery beige (#1), Milk chocolate (#2) and Truffle (#3). And 1 matte: Black Brown (#3).
The plastic compact looks really clean and doesn't feel chap. It also comes with a mirror and applicator sponge.

The eyeshadows are very pigmented and easy to blend. It is so nice to apply them! Durability wise, they last throughout the day looking almost perfect at the end of it.

These colors are great for every skin tone and are easy to match with almos every lip shade. That's a plus.

just me, plying with the quad, hehe.

All in all, these eyeshadows were an unexpected good surprise, I could compare the quality with eyeshadows from Sephora or other more expensive brands out there. Defo worth it!

💋 REVLON Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish | WW84 | Review & Swatches

Not long ago, Revlon came up with a Wonder Woman Collection. I recently found out because my bestie Ceci told me about it and I fell for one of the lippies they had which happened to be part of their regular colors, not exclusively for this collection.

I do like Wonder Woman but I like the original one, Linda Carter. She's so pretty and I kinda wanted to be like her when I was a little girl but, to be honest, I didn't even watch the latest movie.
So, having an item from this collection is cool in a way, but it wasn't a must for me.

Long story short, my friend Ceci and I have been talking about these products since late June, when the sales started and she showed me this beautiful lip polish. I fell in love with it and after thinking about it for a while (and hearing great comments from her) I decided to get it.
I looked for it in different stores but it was sold out everywhere, and I really, really wanted to get in in the 2x1. Ceci found it in the Wonder Woman version, which wasn't part of the sales, and was kind enough to get it for me. That is why I ended up having something from this collection.

Product description:
"Finally, a liquid lipstick that delivers the high-pigment, high-shine lacquer finish you’ve been waiting for—in a non-feathering formula that doesn’t settle into lip lines or creases."

I don't wear many glossy lippies now but they give me 90s vibes! Is not that I don't like them but I don't like the sticky feeling most of them have. This one feels like a mix of both, liquid lipstick and lipgloss.

The shade is called "Birthday Suit" (925) and I'd descibe it as one of those my lips but better kind of color. It's a mauve nude, perfect for every day and I think it suits any skin tone beautifully.

Even tho it has a thick formula, the product is pigmented enough to look even with just one layer so it doesn't feel heavy on the lips. It is sticky, but not as sticky as others. The color is really shiny and even tho it is not meant to be a super long lasting lippie, it wears out nicely and evenly.
The application is clean and easy.

It has a nice fruity, sweet scent that is not too strong, I really like it but then again, keep that in mind before buying.

All in all, I really like it. And there are many beautiful colors from this line so, defo check them out!

Random but, I've been using this nail polish from Flormar a lot lately and even tho it looks a little lighter in the bottle, once applied it matches this lippie perfectly. I love them together, haha.

Let your skin glow! Revlon Photoready Rose Glow Hydrating Primer | Review |

I've been using this product for a while now and after repurchasing it, I realized that I never actually shared it here, which is weird because I like it a lot.

The Revlon Photoready Rose Glow Hydrating Primer "001 Rose Quartz" has been one of my favorite primers for a little over a year now because of the beautiful glow it gives to my skin and makeup.

Product description:
"Super-lightweight this one boost skin radiance for a lit-up finish.
Water-based and infused with nourishing oil-beads to leave skin hydrated for 24 hours."

It is true its water-based formua is super lightweight and it absorbs into the skin pretty quick. The oil-beads melt as you apply the product, leaving a slightly sticky feeling that fades away after a couple of minutes.

Even tho it looks really pink when you first see it, it only leaves a nice golden glow once it's applied on the skin, it doesn't change or affect the color of your base makeup. Since it's a primer, you have to apply it before your base and something that I've noticed, even if it's not mentioned in the product description, is that it minimizes my pores too.

It has a very soft rose scent that I have to say, it is not my favorite but, it goes away after a while.
I have some matte foundations and I like to use this product with them because I usually like to go for a dewy, glowy skin look. It's also great to use when your skin is not looking its best and you want a little pick-me-up, even without makeup. I get many compliments on my skin whenever I use this product.

I want to mention that the glow it gives you it's not like an oily shine kind of thing. I have combination skin but I do think this product can work for skin types too. It is very gentle and the effect it gives is soft and it kinda highlights the right spots on your skin, making it look healthy and radiant. And if you want, you can only apply it on certain spots as a highlighter.

Left: Face without the primer.
Right: Face after applying the primer.

This is how my makeup looks after using the primer.
I didn't use any highlighter.

It is very long lasting! I'm not sure about 24hrs but the effect on my skin lasts throughout the day, and that is something I appreciate.

The applicaton is really clean and easy, since it comes with a dropper and, you don't need to use too much product to get a nice finish. A little goes a long way. I think one bottle lasted me a whole year.

I also gave one to my aunt when I first bought it and she loved it too! Now we repurchase it everytime we run out of it because, it really is a must.

🎀 Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Palette | Review & Swatches |

Part of the b-day pressies I recieved from my friend Ceci (aka Jun-chan!) was this super duper cute palette from Physicians Formula, it is the Shimmer Strips Nude Palette.

I consider Physcians Formula to be a high end drusgtore makeup and skincare brand with really good quality and pretty pakaging. I've tried a few makeup products before and I do recommend them.

Ceci said that once she saw this palette, she thought it'd be perfect for me, even the packaging. And she was right. I love everything about it.

Let's check it out...

🎀 Packaging

Like I said, it is too pretty! I love the black lace on top of the satin pale pink fabric. The nude ribbon details add that extra something to it without looking like "too much."
The whole concept is on the same color scheme and has a super girly vibe to it.

It has a magnetic seal and the size is travel friendly. It also comes with a sponge applicator in a very interesting shape, haha. It doesn't come with a mirror.

🎀 Eyeshadows

This palette comes with 12 shimmers, from very light shades, to black. So it's perfect for day and night makeup looks.
What I really like about it is that there is no one color I wouldn't use, which doesn't happen often. There's usually at least one color I wouldn't use in most palettes.

Pigmentation wise I think they are great and the shimmers are really well... shimmery! haha, which is something I look for when it comes to shimmers. Especially for the lower lid.

Here come the swatches! as you can see, they are all very, very pigmented.

Even the black shade is very black for a shimmer eyeshadow.

I don't know if it's a Physicians Formula thing but this palette is slightly scented. It has a herbal subtle scent. I remember my PF Happy Booster blush had a floral scent that eventually went away.

I've tried some of the colors already and they are easy to blend and have good durability.

And now that I've been talking about Ceci, she has a beauty IG account that you should totally visit if you like makeup and beauty. She reviews high end and drugstore brands as well as dupes and shares fun tips.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Bronzer | Review & Swatches |

Here comes another product from the PF Shimmer Strips collection, this one is a bronzer that can be also used as a blush and eye shadow.

This light bronzer is called "Vegas Strip" and it comes with 5 diiferent shades, from a shimmer light, sand-ish gold (I suck at trying to describe colors) to a copper color.
The packaging is super clean and simple, yet pretty. And it doesn't come with a brush or mirror.

The colors are all shimmers and very easy to blend together or separately. I used the darker shades as a blush and the lighter ones as highlighter.
Pigmentation wise, they are pretty good, you don't need to use a lot of product to make it pop on the skin.

not the best swatches... hehe

This product doesn't have ay smell to it like the others I've tried from this brand.
The durability is also pretty good. The color doesn't fade as the day goes by.

I've only used it as a highlighter / blush but, I'm sure it'd look pretty as eye shadows too, especially because it has the shades I usually go for.

I think it gives a really nice golden glow to the skin, making it look
slightly tanned.

☾ Sailor Moon X ColourPop | Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

Have you ever felt happy about being an adult just because you get to spend money on things you'd enjoy having as a child but couldn't afford? That's kind of how I felt buying this eyeshadow palette.

Hi there!

Earlier this month ColourPop came out with a collaboration with Sailor Moon. And, being the huge SM fan that I am, I just had to get it.

Sailor moon has been my all time favorite anime since I was a little girl, I know there are other makeup collaborations in Japan but they are super hard to find or just way too expensive. I knew this was my chance.

I literally spent a whole morning trying to find them. My original plan was to get the whole collection but it was sold out everywhere! Luckily I found mx.beautymkup on instagram and I was able to get the eyeshadows there.

mx.beautymkup gave me a great sevice, defo recommend it!

There's no need to say how excited I was (and still am) about this palette, it is just perfect. This is my first time trying ColourPop but I have to say this particular product is everything I expected.

Where do I start...?

This is the complete collection: Eyeshadows, liquid lipsticks, blushes and glitters. How cute are they? Plus, I loved the colors they have for everything! The lippies are my colors and the blushes... are just gorgeous.

But, we'll focus on the eyeshadows~

☾ Packaging

I'll try not to be too biased~ hehe.
Everything is pink with some holographic details. I love how the box has Usagi on the cover. Nothing too extra, holographic moons and the name of the product. Too cute!

My surprise was when I opened the box and looked at the palette, first thing I noticed was the funny looking changing picture of Usagi on the lid. So 90's!

Once you open it you'll see the eyeshadows and the name for each color.

It doesn't come with a mirror or brushes tho.

☾ Eyeshadows

Like I said, it comes with 12 different colors including matte neutrals, metallics and shimmers. All colors are bright and perfect for the Spring - Summer season!
Just by looking at them you can tell they represent the anime and the other scouts perfectly. And the names! OMG the names you guys! "Tuxedo Rose", "Silver Crystal" and "Luna" are some of them... my childhood heart is happy.

I've been trying some of the colors and pigmentation wise they are great. They also blend easily and don't fade away thoughout the day.
Personally, the shimmers are my favorites.

I admit some of the shades are not what I usually go for (such as "love", "justice" or even "tuxedo rose") but I've been having fun playing with them.

So, to end this here, I love them and I do think they were worth it. Not only as a fan, quality is great too. I still hope I can find the rest of the products in the future.

I'll go fight evil by moonlight now~ See you next time!! ♡
