Mask Monday: Freeman Pore Cleansing Strawberry + Mint Sheet Mask

Starwberry mojito! haha.

Welcome to another mask monday!
Today we have another Freeman mask but this time, it is a sheet mask. Sheet masks are my favorites and I do believe using then frequently can help you improve your skin. I've noticed a big change after doing it.

This maks is described as: "Say hello to clear pores and get camera ready with this facial sheet mask with serum. Juicy Strawberry helps to cleanse pores, while a burst of Mint helps to control oil and reveal a fresh, clear complexion. Perfect for normal to combination skin."
It claims to instantly clarifies pores and refresh for a clear complexion. Including strawberry to cleanse pores and mint to control oil and refresh the skin.

The serum of this product was very milky like, almost creamy; leaving your skin with a nice, soft feel to it. It has a thick texture and a nice strawberry scent but, I was expecting to smell or feel the mint and... it never happened.

Leatherface time! LOL. These masks are usually
way to big!

I could see how my skin looked and felt clear and bright after using it and on the next day.

They have different sheet masks for different types of skin and I defo think they are worth trying.

Daiso Hatomugi Face Masks

Everytime I watch Daiso / daiso haul videos, I know it'd be a place for me to go crazy with my shopping. Especially because I've heard so many good reviews about their products which are, surprisingly good, for a cheap price.

If you don't know what Daiso is, it is a Japanese 100¥ store kind of thing where you can find pretty much anything you need or didn't know you needed... hehehe.

Sadly, I didn't go to Daiso. But I did get the chance to try their hatomugi face masks. The package I got came with 5 sheet masks in a resealable bag. The 5 of them in one bag! (yeah, it's the first time I see something like this). I think it's really cool, especially for those who travel.

To be honest, I've never heard of hatomugi before buying these facemasks and I had no idea what it was so, I did my research, haha.
Hatomugi are job's tears, which still, I wasn't familar with. Long story short, it is kind of an Asian grass/grain that is tear shaped. Hence the name.
I might be wrong tho...

Apparenty, these masks are great for skin hydration and reducing inflammation. They don't really have a scent, and if they do, it's very, very subtle. They all come nicely folded and super soaked in the product, which is not sticky and absorbs quickly.
Something I also liked is the fact that they are not super big!

leather face Mon!

I've tried different kinds of sheet masks, from really cheap ones to better quality ones and I can say that even tho these are not the best ones ever, they do the job leaving my sking looking and feeling hydrated and glowy.
I'm super curious to try other beauty products from Daiso in the future. For now, I'll defo buy these again if I get the chance.

~*My skin after using Korean sheet masks*~

Hello dollies!
In older posts I mentioned how I've been loving Korean face mask sheets as a treat on relaxing times but recently I started using them regularly and I've seen a great difference on my skin.

A while ago I saw on a beauty show that AfterSchool JungAh's secret for a beautiful and healthy skin was using this type of masks (not these brands in particular) everyday so, I thought I should give it a try.
The masks I've been using are from two different brands: The Cure and Dermal. Those two are gentle to my sensitive skin and have a very subtle smell.

There are a few differences between the two of them. Dermal masks are slightly bigger, (both are too big for my face though) they are also a little drier while The Cure ones are soaked in serum. After using The Cure ones my skin feels a little more oily(?) not in a bad way~ I don't know how to explain exactly. Hehe. But as the day goes by I see good results from both brands.

I don't use them everyday but 3 times a week usually at night when I have some free time to relax and let the product work all night.

How to use:
1. Cleanse throughly and dry your face.
2. Remove the pre-soaked mask from the packet.
3. Gently unfold the mask and apply lightly on your face using your fingertips.
4. Relax for 20~30 mins.
5. Lift off the mask and gently pat remaining serum into skin.

My skin definitely feels softer and looks brighter and healthier. I know this "routine" can be a little pricey if you plan to follow it regularly but it's worth it! It's been only a few weeks since I started and I'm happy with the results.

I'd love to try some other DERMAL products someday~

A treat for my face~

I love having some time for myself and the chance to give my skin a needed treat. I bought a few Korean face masks a while ago and I've been trying not to use them all at once because you know...I kinda want to make them last until the next time I buy more. I've been loving face masks lately!

Most of the masks I got are from The Cure and one from DERMAL but I haven't tried the Dermal one. I think it's a brightening mask.

I first tried The Cure masks with my girls (they also bought a few) on this kind of girlie day we had. You know, cupcakes, masks and horror stories. We were all happy with how soft and bright our skin was after using them. We all tried different ones, mine was...green tea, but they got pearl, collagen and others.

The smell of these masks is kinda fresh and not too strong. I thought they would have different smells depending on what the mask is made of but, no. They all smell the same to me. They are kind to my sensitive skin, and work pretty well.

How to use them:
(straight from the back of the package hehe)

5 easy steps to a bright and soft skin.

This is how the masks look once you unfold it. They are soaked with a lot of product so I wonder if they can be used twice...? Haven't tried though.

Bad thing is, they are too big for my face.

How scary / funny do I look?!

Time to relax! I usually leave them for like 35 minutes and I like to watch some shows while letting them work.

And after those 35 mins... A fresh face!
Yay!
I was checking some other DERMAL products and kinda anxious to check them out! For more info here's the link ---> www.dermalmask.com
