| September Blogging Challenge | 10 Of My Favorite 90's Movies

Even tho I look back at the 90's and see all the terrible looks I had, it is defo of my favorite decades. Mostly because of all the happy memories I have of it.
I loved the idea to share some of my favorite 90's movies as a part of the blogging challenge.

There are many 90's movies I didn't see until I was older cuz back then I wasn't really interested but, I'm gonna share some of the ones that made an impact back then or that I was just simply obsessed with.

And I'm going to start with one of my all time favs: Clueless (1995). I didn't only love the movie but also the show. My sister, cousins and I were obsessed with it and even tho my fashion style was clearly nothing like Cher's, she was kinda my role model and it was thanks to this movie that I met Paul Rudd and still love him to this day. This is one of those movies that never get old for me and I watch it every time I can. I still love the fashion, the characters, the music and... it just screams 90s!

My next one is going to be Spice World (1997). I know some of you wouldn't even consider this one as a favorite but, the Spice Girls were a huge part  of my life while growing up. I can still remember how excited I was when we went to watch it. It doesn't matter what they do, I still follow them and they will always have a very special place in my heart. Hehe.

Let's get into a Halloween mood now with The Addams Family (1991). This was one of those movies we watched over and over again. I remember we used to rent it, yeah... I feel old now. I remember looking at Morticia, thinking she was gorgeous! And I really loved the whole concept of this family. They were one of my first looks into people living an "everyday is Halloween" kind of life. I could (and still can) watch everything Addams related.

The Witches (1990) is also one of those Halloween movies I loved. I would watch it every time it was on TV and I believe it was part of the big fascination I have over witches now. The only part that really scared me in this movie was the girl who was trapped living in a painting. She slowly grew old and eventualy died, disappearing from the painting.

Last Halloween movie will be The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). This is defo a Christmas / Halloween classic that everyone knows and enjoys. Even the soundtrack is good! Hehe.

Changing the genre a little is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie (1995). I was a big MMPR fan and this movie wasn't the exception. Jason David Frank (aka Tommy) was one of my first big crushes and there was a pink ranger so, yeah. I didn't follow all the PR seasons tho.

Then we have Batman & Robin (1997). I know many people hate this movie. And it's funny cuz I'm not a Batsy fan but I used to love it. Especially beause of Robin ♡. Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl was an extra reason to like it. There was this PS game my sister and I used to love too. I still enjoy watching this movie to this day.

I don't know if this next movie was exactly a favorite but it started my obsession with the show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). I think I randomly watched it on TV, I already liked Luke Perry from BH 90210 and I liked the whole concept of the movie. Years later I discovered the show and well... we'll leave the rest for another post.

And my last ones are both Leonardo DiCaprio movie that I was probably too young to understand back then but still watched them over and over to the point where I knew the dialogues.

The first one is, The Man in the Iron Mask (1998). I watched this movie because of my Grandpa and loved it after that. I especially loved the costumes and of course, Leonardo. I started liking him after Titanic. I'm not a big Musketeers fan but would watch this one again for sure.

And the last one is: Romeo + Juliet (1996). I know the original story but this one is the one I've officially seen. And it's a "modern" adaptation of the original. I feel like rewatching it to remember everything because, even tho I had my obsession period with ths movie, I haven't seen it in a long, long time.

And there you go, some of my favorite movies from the 90s. Maybe some of them were not the best movies ever but they were a big part of my childhood and I still enjoy them. The list could go on and on but I don't want to turn this into a super long post.

Anime Obsession: Shingeki No Kyojin

If you didn't know, I love this anime. But for some reason (avoiding seeing how the characters I like get killed) it took me forever to watch the 3rd season. I just finished it two weeks ago and yeah, I'm obessed again.

I know most of you might have heard of it because it's been super popular since the forst season was released back in 2013. It is the animated version of the manga, with the sme name, by Hajime Isayama which, I haven't read.

The story follows Eren Yeager, and his fight to retake the world from Titans after losing his mother who was eaten by one. People live in fear of titans, in towns inside walls and the military are in charge of protecting them and killing these titans. So, even tho Eren, Mikasa and Armin are supposed to be the main characters, once they join the military, you get to meet many more characters and their background stories.

Armin, Eren and Mikasa

Titans are a complete miystery at first but you get to learn more and more about them and their origins as the show continues. Some of them are really creepy.

Somehow I ended up liking these 3

creepy titans being creepy...

Being honest with you guys I find other characters a lot more interesting than those 3. Yes, I love Levi but as the show continues, and many characters die, I keep changing my favs every season. Levi remains the same tho. Hehe.

They were my favorite Squad~

This show has 3 seasons so far, and the 4th and last season will be released later this year. That's why I wanted to get caught up before the new one starts.
There's also Attack on Titan: Junior High, which is the chibi version of the show, and it shows the characters living a normal school life. It's kinda cute; and a few OVAs.
There are also 2 live action movies with Haruma Miura as Eren but I've read so many bad comments about then that, I haven't seen them.

Junior High

I feel like this story is too complex for me to try to explain so I highly suggest you guys go check it out. It has a bit of almost everything but it is a bit dark and gets too violent and bloody at times. Once you start watching, you can't stop!

Big warning tho, don't get too attached to the characters, you never know who is going to die~

As for the soundtrack, I haven't heard many songs aside from the openings and endings, which are pretty good. My favorite one is the first opening from the third season "Red Swan" by Hyde. (love him!)

And back in 2017, Epica released an album called "Epica VS Attack On Titan Songs" featuring covers from the anime. It is so freaking good.

If you haven't heard of the show, I totally recommend it and, if you know it but haven't seen it, defo do it! It keeps getting better.

What I've been watching: Anime & Movies

Hi there!
Summer is here and as far as I know, some people should be on a break now. I will spend my break home and I'm assuming some of you are on the same situation so, I decided to share some of the shows and movies I've been loving this year so you can check them out if you feel like it. I'll be sharing only the ones I finished and save the rest for future posts.
I can't remember the last time I shared shows so...here we go!

❥ ANIME:

ORANGE
Even tho it is a short anime it took me a while to finish it, mainly because I didn't want it to end. This is one of those shows that
made me cry in almost every episode. Maybe I'm too emotional~
The story is about a high school student named Naho who receives letters sent from herself 10 years into the future asking her to prevent her biggest regrets. I know it sounds a bit weird but it really gets serious and even sad. It also shows a very strong friendship and unconditional love stuff. (my two favs...hehe).
It's only 13 episodes long but I swear is worth watching. Characters are lovely and you can't help but to love them. I found out there's a live action version too that I defo will watch soon.

CARD CAPTOR SAKURA: CLEAR CARD
If you were a CC Sakura fan, you'll love this one. It's pretty much the continuation to the original show but this time Sakura has to collect clear cards. You'll see the old characters but also, new ones and some romance too. Even tho it is very entertaining, I feel like the story was a bit slow and the real action and answers came at the end of the season leaving so many questions left... We'll have to wait for the next season...
It has 22 episodes and the first opening song is super catchy!
This is a bit random but, there's a lot of yummy-looking food in here so, be ready to feel hungry after watching the episodes!

Romance!

❥ MOVIES:

YOUR NAME
Is a Japanese animated drama/romance movie that was actually very famous like a year ago but, I just watched it this year... hehe. The movie is about two high school students who are total strangers and find themselves linked in a very weird way. One morning they start switching bodies and start communicating through messages. At first, I found the movie a bit confusing but as the movie goes on, it becomes a love story and yeah, it made me cry. I suck at writing movie plots and reviews so all I can say is, go watch it! I loved it.

KIMI NO SUIZOU TABETAI (aka. Let me eat your pancreas)
This is also a Japanese drama movie about a Teacher and his high school memories. Back then, he found his classmate's diary and that was what brought them together. She had a terminal pancreas desease and a strong will to enjoy her life to the fullest.
Then again, this movie made me cry, it's so good! It also made me think about how we all should enjoy our everyday as if it was the last one.
Also! Keiko Kitagawa is in it, she played Sailor Mars in the Sailor Moon live action version so, I was very excited to see her there!
I just found out there will be (or already is) an animated version of this movie so, it may be worth checking too.

VERONICA
Horror movies have to be included here, even tho I haven't been watching those many lately~ Veronica is a paranormal Spanish movie; pretty much about a possession. It's hard to find good horor movies these days and I have to admit I liked this one. It's not super scary but it has a few jump scenes and it'll keep you interested until the end.

THE INCREDIBLES 2
I'm not gonna spoil this for you guys, but if you haven't seen it and you liked the first one, this is a must watch. I absolutely loved it!

And, those are some of the shows & movies I've liked a lot, there are a few shows I'm loving but I'm not done with them yet.
What shows should I watch next? Any suggestion?

happy rainy summer!

Some of my least favorite horror movies

Hello my creepy loves!

A few years ago I shared some of my favorite horror movies, now it is time to share some of my least favorites. I've seen soooo many horror movies, some good and some bad ones but it was hard to look bad to pick a few I personally didn't like.
This is just my opinion, I know some people can disagree but yeah, let's take a look.
You guys know I'm not good with movie plots and stuff so I'll link the info and movie trailers for you to check!
These movies are in no particular order.

Tomie Unlimited

I don't even remember why I decided to watch this movie. As far as I know this is part of a Japanese movie series. The story didn't sound bad at first but, once I finished it, I didn't feel like watching the rest of the movies. Some parts of it even made me laugh...

The Witch

I heard so many good and bad things about this movie and when I finally got the chance to watch it, I couldn't even finish it... I found it super slow and nothing too interesting seemed to happen. I know some people really liked it and even suggested me to re-watch it. I wonder if I would change my mind~

Leprechaun in the hood

So, I know this is a comedy/horror movie but I still find it a very bad movie. Don't ask me why I decided to watch it cuz I honestly don't remember but I know there are many more. It's like a series thing. Even if you like comedy, I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't even find it funny.

Poltergeist 2015

This was one of those movies I was really looking forward to watch but once I finally did, it wasn't what I was expecting. I wouldn't say is totally bad but the end and some effects made me go...bleh on it. You know what people say, remakes are never that great...

So, that is that for this list. I wouldnt say I totally hated these movies (Well, I kinda hated Leprechaun) but there are better ones. If you agree, or disagree with me, let me know down below! Or just share with me one of your least favorite horror movies ever.

I can't remember the last one that scared me. I have to be honest here, most horror movies these days aren't that scary. There was this video I saw on YouTube a few day ago tho. It was about a radio show that got a call from a lady in the 80s saying her son was possesed. You could actually feel her fear while she was talking, describing what her son was doing. apparently he killed her and when the police got to the scene, they found blood and all that but, no bodies. That one did scare me.

6. Who is your ultimate scream queen?
Sarah Michelle Gellar ! (I googled it and YES, she is considered a Scream Queen)

7. What’s a concept that you’d like to see in horror?
I would actually love to see many stories from Yamishibai in movies. Maybe there are some I haven't seen...Idk.

8. What is your favorite on screen kill?
The Omen (1976) decapitation scene? I wouldn't say it is my favorite (cuz I don't think I actually have a favorite kill) but that one was the first one I remeber and I used to find it pretty scary when I was a little girl.

9. What’s your favorite horror franchise?
The Grudge franchise

10. Who’s your favorite horror director?
George Romero

And. that's it for this super fun tag! I tag you all to do it if you feel like it. Also, share with me what's your favorite horror movie so I can watch it this month!

What I've been watching lately #7 Movie Edition 🎬

Hello there!

I've been meaning to post this one for a long time now and for whatever reason I forgot. I don't think there are new shows to add tho, only movies this time.
I am someone who loves movies and even tho I love horror, I enjoy a bit of everything so, let's take a look!

Studio Ghibli: Only Yesterday & Ocean Waves:
Only Yesterday is an animated drama about a 27 year old, single woman who decides to make a trip to the country to visit her family. During the trip she starts rememebring part of her life growing up and how those events had an impact in her life. She also finds out that her true happiness is in the country and decides to leave her life back on Tokyo to stay there. I really, really liked this movie. I'm sure that even tho it is an animated movie, more than one can relate at least a little with Taeko.

Ocean Waves is about two best friends and how their relationship changes once a new girl arrives to their school. (I found this girl really annoying tbh) I liked the movie, but I wouldn't say I loved it tho. The end has a little twist. Or at least, it wasn't what I was expecting.

Movie trailers:

Detective Conan Movie 4: Captured in her eyes.
I really want to get caught up with this show and that includes the movies too. My friend Tomi told me there is a new DC movie every year and I've seen some but not in order so, I started watching the ones I missed.
This one starts with a mystery around some police officers being killed, and Ran is a witness of one of those attempts which causes her a memory loss from the shock. Since she saw the murder's face, she's being chased by him to stop her from talking. It's all about protecting Ran and solving the mystery.  In the end Conan helps Ran to remember everything, saves her and also confesses his love for her. So cute.

Horror/Suspense/Drama: Alice, Boy from wonderland, Hush, Room, Split:
Alice: Boy from Wonderland is a Korean horror/fantasy/romance movie about this girl who has some weird nightmares. She goes to this place (wonderland) to try to find out the reason behing this nightmares. I mainly wanted to watch this movie because of Jung So Min but I ended up liking it. It is really weird tho. My friends and I were like..."what is going on here?!" I think we all found it hard to understand so if you guys watch it, don't forget to let me know your thoughts.

Hush is an American horror movie. Maddie is deaf author who is living in a house in the forest. One night a killer decides to make her become his next victim when he realises she is deaf and lives alone.  I gotta say I thought this movie was going to be super bloody but, it is not. It is really good and intense tho. What I liked about it is that the action starts really fast and it keeps you engaged til the end. And that mask tho, so creepy.

Room (this movie almost made me cry~) is a bout a woman who has been captive for 7 years and has a 5 year old son. Once they find the way to escape, the boy will expierence life outside the "room" for the first time. Such a great, great movie.

Split talks about a man diagnosed with 23 different personalitieswho kidnaps 3 girls. I always find this type of movies that talk about mental disorders, super interesting. The last part wasn't all that great to me tho cuz it was a little too unreal to me but other than that, interesting movie!

Movie trailers:

And last by not least...
Power Rangers Movie was one of the movies I was really looking forward to watch this year. It brought back so many childhood memories. I loved the characters, suits, music...everything! If you were a PR first generation fan, this movie is deffo worth watching. It made me so happy to see Amy Jo and Jason David Frank in there too!

That is it! Since you all know I am so not good with synopsis and stuff, I'm linking the movie trailers for you to watch.
I'll see you next time! x
